(KJV - Anglický - King James)

Est 9, 1-64

1 (KJV) Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)

1 (KJV) Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)
2 (B21) Ve všech provinciích krále Xerxe se Židé ve svých městech shromáždili, aby bránili své životy proti těm, kdo jim chystali pohromu. Nikdo před nimi neobstál; strach z nich padl na všechny národy.

2 (KJV) The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.

2 (KJV) The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.

3 (KJV) And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.

3 (KJV) And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.
6 (B21) V samotném sídelním městě Súsách Židé pobili a zahubili pět set mužů.

4 (KJV) For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
7 (B21) Mezi nimi byli: Paršandata, Dalfon, Aspata,

4 (KJV) For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
8 (B21) Porata, Adalia, Aridata,

5 (KJV) Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would unto those that hated them.
9 (B21) Parmašta, Arisaj, Aridaj, Vajzata,

5 (KJV) Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would unto those that hated them.
10 (B21) deset synů židobijce Hamana, syna Hamedatova. Pobili je, kořisti se však ani nedotkli.

6 (KJV) And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.
11 (B21) Téhož dne se počet zabitých v sídelním městě Súsách donesl až ke králi.

6 (KJV) And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.
12 (B21) "V samotných Súsách," řekl král královně Ester, "Židé pobili a zahubili pět set mužů a deset Hamanových synů. Co asi udělali v ostatních provinciích říše? Tak jaké máš přání? Bude ti splněno. Žádej cokoli dalšího a stane se."

7 (KJV) And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,

7 (KJV) And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,

8 (KJV) And Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,

8 (KJV) And Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,

9 (KJV) And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajezatha,
17 (B21) To se stalo třináctého dne měsíce adaru. Následujícího čtrnáctého dne už měli klid, a tak toho dne pořádali hody a veselice.

9 (KJV) And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajezatha,

10 (KJV) The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.
19 (B21) A proto venkovští Židé, kteří nebydlí v hrazených městech, pořádají veselice, hody a oslavy čtrnáctého dne měsíce adaru a navzájem si posílají výslužku.

10 (KJV) The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.
20 (B21) Mordechaj všechny tyto věci sepsal a všem Židům ve všech provinciích krále Xerxe, blízkým i vzdáleným, rozeslal listy,

11 (KJV) On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.
21 (B21) aby jim uložil každoročně zachovávat čtrnáctý a patnáctý den měsíce adaru.

11 (KJV) On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.
Proto mají v tyto dny pořádat hody a veselice, navzájem si posílat výslužku a dávat dárky chudým.

12 (KJV) And the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king's provinces? now what is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: or what is thy request further? and it shall be done.

24 (B21) Onen arcižidobijce Haman, syn Hamedaty Agagovce, si usmyslel vyhladit Židy. Hodil si pur (neboli los), kdy je má zničit a vyhladit.

13 (KJV) Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do tomorrow also according unto this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.

13 (KJV) Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do tomorrow also according unto this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.

14 (KJV) And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.

14 (KJV) And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.

15 (KJV) For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.
29 (B21) Tuto druhou listinu psala spolu s Židem Mordechajem také královna Ester, dcera Abichailova, aby purim potvrdila s veškerou vážností.

15 (KJV) For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.
30 (B21) On pak ty listy rozeslal Židům do sta sedmadvaceti provincií Xerxovy říše. Přál jim pokoj a bezpečí,

16 (KJV) But the other Jews that were in the king's provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,

16 (KJV) But the other Jews that were in the king's provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,
32 (B21) Slova ohledně purim stvrdil i rozkaz královny Ester, a tak to bylo zaneseno do knihy.

Est 9, 1-64

Verš 25
But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
Est 8:8 - Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's ring: for the writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the king's ring, may no man reverse.

Est 9,4-13 - Tieto verše podávajú výklad Mardochejovho sna, ktorý vyrozpráva zasa 11,2–12. Podľa myšlienkového poradia by sa žiadalo, aby nám svätopisec najprv vyrozprával sen a potom jeho výklad. Preto poradie gréckeho textu si zasluhuje prednosť, keď sen Mardochejov (11,2–12) podáva pred 1,1.

Est 9,9 - "Robil veľké divy a zázraky": Boh všetko podivuhodne riadi a spravuje.

V priestupnom roku (keď mal rok 13 mesiacov) slávili v 12. mesiaci malý Purim a v 13. mesiaci veľký Purim. Nijaké bohoslužby ani zvláštne obety vtedy nekonali. Neskoršie počali sa schádzať v synagóge navečer 13. adara a prečítali tam knihu Ester.
