1 (KJV) On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
1 (SVD) في تلك الليلة طار نوم الملك فامر بان يؤتى بسفر تذكار اخبار الايام فقرئت امام الملك.
1 (B21) Té noci král nemohl spát. Rozkázal tedy, ať mu přinesou kroniku říšských záznamů. Když z ní králi předčítali,

2 (SVD) فوجد مكتوبا ما اخبر به مردخاي عن بغثانا وترش خصيّي الملك حارسي الباب اللذين طلبا ان يمدا ايديهما الى الملك احشويروش.
2 (B21) narazili na zápis o tom, jak jistý Mordechaj odhalil Bigtana a Tereše, dva královské eunuchy ze strážců prahu, kteří se chystali vztáhnout ruku na krále Xerxe.

2 (KJV) And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
3 (SVD) فقال الملك ايّة كرامة وعظمة عملت لمردخاي لاجل هذا. فقال غلمان الملك الذين يخدمونه لم يعمل معه شيء.
3 (B21) Král se otázal: "Jak za to byl Mordechaj vyznamenán a povýšen?" "Vůbec nijak," odpověděli panoši obsluhující krále.

2 (KJV) And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
4 (SVD) فقال الملك من في الدار. وكان هامان قد دخل دار بيت الملك الخارجية لكي يقول للملك ان يصلب مردخاي على الخشبة التي اعدها له.
4 (B21) "Je někdo v předsálí?" zeptal se král. (Do vnějšího předsálí královských komnat právě přišel Haman, aby promluvil s králem, že je záhodno Mordechaje pověsit na kůl, který pro něj připravil.)

3 (KJV) And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
5 (SVD) فقال غلمان الملك له هوذا هامان واقف في الدار. فقال الملك ليدخل.
5 (B21) "Ano, v předsálí čeká Haman," odpověděli panošové králi. "Ať vejde," řekl král.

3 (KJV) And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
6 (SVD) ولما دخل هامان قال له الملك ماذا يعمل لرجل يسرّ الملك بان يكرمه. فقال هامان في قلبه من يسرّ الملك بان يكرمه اكثر مني.
6 (B21) Když Haman vešel, král se ho zeptal: "Co se má udělat, když král chce někoho vyznamenat?" Haman si pomyslel: "Koho jiného by král mohl chtít vyznamenat než mě?"

4 (KJV) And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
7 (SVD) فقال هامان للملك ان الرجل الذي يسرّ الملك بان يكرمه
7 (B21) a tak tedy králi odpověděl: "Chce-li král někoho vyznamenat,

4 (KJV) And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
8 (SVD) يأتون باللباس السلطاني الذي يلبسه الملك وبالفرس الذي يركبه الملك وبتاج الملك الذي يوضع على راسه
8 (B21) ať přinesou královské roucho, které nosívá král, a přivedou koně, na kterém jezdí král, s královskou korunou na hlavě.

5 (KJV) And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
9 (SVD) ويدفع اللباس والفرس لرجل من رؤساء الملك الاشراف ويلبسون الرجل الذي سرّ الملك بان يكرمه ويركبونه على الفرس في ساحة المدينة وينادون قدامه هكذا يصنع للرجل الذي يسرّ الملك بان يكرمه.
9 (B21) To roucho i koně ať svěří některému z králových nejvznešenějších velmožů. Ať je to roucho oblečeno tomu, koho král chce vyznamenat; ať je na tom koni proveden po náměstí a ať se před ním volá: ‚Takto se děje tomu, koho chce král vyznamenat!'"

5 (KJV) And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
10 (SVD) فقال الملك لهامان اسرع وخذ اللباس والفرس كما تكلمت وافعل هكذا لمردخاي اليهودي الجالس في باب الملك. لا يسقط شيء من جميع ما قلته.
10 (B21) "Rychle vezmi to roucho i koně!" odpověděl král Hamanovi. "To, co jsi řekl, uděláš pro Žida Mordechaje z královského kancléřství. Dej pozor, ať nic z toho, co jsi řekl, nevynecháš."

6 (KJV) So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
11 (SVD) فاخذ هامان اللباس والفرس وألبس مردخاي واركبه في ساحة المدينة ونادى قدامه هكذا يصنع للرجل الذي يسرّ الملك بان يكرمه
11 (B21) A tak Haman vzal to roucho a koně, oblékl Mordechaje, provezl ho po náměstí a volal před ním: "Takto se děje tomu, koho chce král vyznamenat."

6 (KJV) So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
12 (SVD) ورجع مردخاي الى باب الملك. واما هامان فاسرع الى بيته نائحا ومغطى الراس.
12 (B21) Mordechaj se pak vrátil do královského paláce, ale Haman spěchal domů sklíčený a s hlavou zahalenou.

7 (KJV) And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,
13 (SVD) وقصّ هامان على زرش زوجته وجميع احبائه كل ما اصابه. فقال له حكماؤه وزرش زوجته اذا كان مردخاي الذي ابتدأت تسقط قدامه من نسل اليهود فلا تقدر عليه بل تسقط قدامه سقوطا.
13 (B21) Když Haman vypravoval své ženě Zereš a všem přátelům, co všechno ho postihlo, odvětili mu ti mudrcové i jeho žena Zereš: "Jestli je ten Mordechaj opravdu Žid, pak tvůj pád teprve začal! Nikdy ho nepřemůžeš; padneš před ním úplně."

7 (KJV) And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,
14 (SVD) وفيما هم يكلمونه وصل خصيان الملك واسرعوا للأتيان بهامان الى الوليمة التي عملتها استير
14 (B21) Ještě to ani nedořekli, když vtom dorazili královi eunuchové a spěšně Hamana odvedli na hostinu, kterou vystrojila Ester.
