Kniha Nehemiášova

1 (KAT) Najvyšší kňaz Eljašib a jeho bratia kňazi sa teda pustili do práce a postavili Ovčiu bránu. Posvätili ju a osadili jej vráta. Stavali ďalej až po vežu Mea, posvätili ju a v stavbe pokračovali až po vežu Chananel.
1 (VUL) Et surrexit Eliasib sacerdos magnus et fratres eius sacerdotes et aedificaverunt portam Gregis; contignaverunt eam et statuerunt valvas eius et usque ad turrim Meah et turrim Hananeel.
1 (UKJV) "Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they built the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel. "

2 (KAT) Vedľa stavali chlapi z Jericha a vedľa nich Imriho syn Zakur.
2 (VUL) Et iuxta eos aedificaverunt viri Iericho, et iuxta eos aedificavit Zacchur filius Imri.
2 (UKJV) And next unto him built the men of Jericho. And next to them built Zaccur the son of Imri.

3 (KAT) Rybnú bránu stavali Hasenaaovi synovia. Oni ju pokryli trámami a osadili jej vráta i jej pozdĺžne a priečne závory.
3 (VUL) Portam autem Piscium aedificaverunt filii Asnaa; ipsi contignaverunt eam et statuerunt valvas eius et seras et vectes.

4 (KAT) Vedľa nich opravoval Meromot, syn Hakosovho syna Uriáša. Vedľa neho opravoval Mešulam, syn Mešezabelovho syna Berechiáša, a vedľa neho opravoval Bánov syn Sadok.
4 (VUL) Et iuxta eos restauravit Meremoth filius Uriae filii Accos, et iuxta eum restauravit Mosollam filius Barachiae filii Mesezabel, et iuxta eum restauravit Sadoc filius Baana,
4 (UKJV) And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.

5 (KAT) Vedľa neho opravovali Tekoania, lenže poprednejší z nich neskláňali poddajne šiju pred svojimi dozeračmi.
5 (VUL) et iuxta eum restauraverunt Thecueni; optimates autem eorum non supposuerunt colla sua in opere Domini sui.

6 (KAT) Starú bránu opravovali Paseachov syn Jojada a Besodiášov syn Mešulam. Oni ju zakryli trámami a osadili jej vráta i jej pozdĺžne a priečne závory.
6 (VUL) Et portam Veterem restauraverunt Ioiada filius Phasea et Mosollam filius Besodia; ipsi contignaverunt eam et statuerunt valvas eius et seras et vectes.
6 (UKJV) "Moreover the old gate repaired Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. "

7 (KAT) Vedľa nich opravovali Gabaončan Melatiáš a Meronoťan Jadon, muži z Gabaona a Masfy, pri stolici vladára za Riekou.
7 (VUL) Et iuxta eos restauraverunt Meltias Gabaonites et Iadon Meronathites, viri de Gabaon et Maspha, qui erant ad solium ducis, qui erat in regione trans flumen;
7 (UKJV) And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, unto the throne of the governor on this side the river.

8 (KAT) Vedľa opravoval Charchaiášov syn Uziel so zlatníkmi, vedľa neho opravoval Chananiáš, jeden z mastičkárov, a opravili jeruzalemské hradby až po široký múr.
8 (VUL) et iuxta eos restauravit Oziel filius Araia de aurificibus, et iuxta eum restauravit Hananias de pigmentariis et firmaverunt Ierusalem usque ad murum latiorem.
8 (UKJV) Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths. Next unto him also repaired Hananiah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem unto the broad wall.

9 (KAT) Vedľa opravoval Churov syn Refaiáš, predstavený polovice jeruzalemského okresu.
9 (VUL) Et iuxta eum restauravit Raphaia filius Hur, princeps dimidiae partis vici Ierusalem;
9 (UKJV) And next unto them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem.

10 (KAT) Vedľa opravoval Charumafov syn Jedaiáš oproti svojmu domu, vedľa neho opravoval Chašabneiášov syn Chatuš.
10 (VUL) et iuxta eum restauravit Iedaia filius Haromaph contra domum suam, et iuxta eum restauravit Hattus filius Hasabneia.
10 (UKJV) And next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, even opposite to his house. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabniah.

11 (KAT) Druhý úsek s Pecnou vežou opravoval Charimov syn Malkiáš a Pachat-Moabov syn Chašub.
11 (VUL) Alteram partem restauravit Melchias filius Harim et Hassub filius Phahathmoab usque ad turrim Furnorum.
11 (UKJV) Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hashub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired the other piece, and the tower of the furnaces.

12 (KAT) Vedľa opravoval Halhochešov syn Šalum, predstavený druhej polovice jeruzalemského okresu, on so svojimi dcérami.

12 (UKJV) And next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Halohesh, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.

13 (KAT) Bránu na doline opravoval Chanun s osadníkmi zo Zanoach. Oni ju postavili a osadili jej vráta i jej pozdĺžne a priečne závory a opravili tisíc lakťov múru až po Hnojnú bránu.
13 (VUL) Portam Vallis restauravit Hanun et habitatores Zanoa; ipsi aedificaverunt eam et statuerunt valvas eius et seras et vectes et mille cubitos in muro usque ad portam Sterquilinii.
13 (UKJV) "The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits on the wall unto the dung gate. "

14 (KAT) Hnojnú bránu opravoval Rechabov syn Malkiáš, predstavený okresu Bethakerema. On ju postavil a osadil jej vráta i jej pozdĺžne a priečne závory.
14 (VUL) Et portam Sterquilinii restauravit Melchias filius Rechab, princeps vici Bethcharem; ipse aedificavit eam et statuit valvas eius et seras et vectes.
14 (UKJV) "But the dung gate repaired Malchiah the son of Rechab, the ruler of part of Bethhaccerem; he built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. "

15 (KAT) Bránu pri studnici opravoval Kolchozov syn Šalun, predstavený masfanského okresu. Postavil ju, pokryl ju a osadil jej vráta i jej pozdĺžne a priečne závory, takisto Rybničný múr vodovodu pri Kráľovskej záhrade až po schody, ktoré vedú z Dávidovho mesta dolu.
15 (VUL) Et portam Fontis restauravit Sellum filius Cholhoza princeps pagi Maspha; ipse aedificavit eam et texit et statuit valvas eius et seras et vectes et murum piscinae Siloae iuxta hortum regis et usque ad gradus, qui descendunt de civitate David.
15 (UKJV) "But the gate of the fountain repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of part of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Siloah by the king's garden, and unto the stairs that go down from the city of David. "

16 (KAT) Za ním opravoval Azbukov syn Nehemiáš, predstavený betsurského okresu, až oproti Dávidovým hrobom a až po urobený rybník a ďalej po Dom bohatierov.
16 (VUL) Post eum restauravit Nehemias filius Azboc princeps dimidiae partis vici Bethsur usque contra sepulcra David et usque ad piscinam, quae repleta est, et usque ad domum Fortium.

17 (KAT) Za ním opravovali leviti. Baniho syn Rechum, vedľa neho opravoval Chašabiáš, predstavený polovice keilského okresu, a jeho okres.
17 (VUL) Post eum restauraverunt Levitae, Rehum filius Bani; iuxta eum restauravit Hasabias princeps dimidiae partis vici Ceilae pro vico suo;
17 (UKJV) After him repaired the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next unto him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of the half part of Keilah, in his part.

18 (KAT) Za ním opravovali ich bratia. Chenadadov syn Bavai, predstavený druhej polovice keilského okresu.
18 (VUL) post eum aedificaverunt fratres eorum Bavai filius Henadad princeps dimidiae partis vici Ceilae.

19 (KAT) Vedľa neho opravoval Jozueho syn Ezer, predstavený Masfy, druhý úsek pozdĺž miesta, kade sa vystupuje ku zbrojnici v uhle.

20 (KAT) Za ním veľmi usilovne opravoval Zabdiho syn Baruch druhý úsek od uhla až po dvere domu najvyššieho kňaza Eljašiba.

22 (KAT) Za ním opravovali kňazi, mužovia z rovín.

29 (KAT) Za nimi opravoval Imerov syn Sadok oproti svojmu domu. Za ním opravoval Šechaniášov syn Šemaiáš, strážca Východnej brány.
29 (VUL) Post eos restauravit Sadoc filius Emmer contra domum suam; et post eum restauravit Semeia filius Secheniae custos portae orientalis.

30 (KAT) Za ním opravoval Šelemiášov syn Chananiáš a Salafov šiesty syn Chanun druhý úsek. Za ním opravoval Berechiášov syn Mešulam oproti svojmu bytu.

31 (KAT) Za ním opravoval Malkiáš, člen zlatníkov, až po dom chrámových nevoľníkov a kupcov oproti Strážnej bráne a až po Hornú rožnú izbu.

32 (KAT) Medzi Hornou izbou na rohu a medzi Ovčou bránou opravovali zlatníci a kupci.
32 (VUL) et inter cenaculum anguli et portam Gregis restauraverunt aurifices et negotiatores.

33 (KAT) Keď sa Sanabalat dozvedel, že staviame múr, rozhneval sa a veľmi sa zlostil. Posmieval sa Židom
33 (VUL) Factum est autem, cum audisset Sanaballat quod aedificaremus murum, iratus est et indignatus est nimis et subsannavit Iudaeos

34 (KAT) a pred svojimi súkmeňovcami a samarijským davom sa vyslovil: „Čo to robia títo mizerní Židia?! Dovolia im to? Vari budú obetovať? Vari za deň skončia? Vari budú vedieť z hromád prachu opäť urobiť kamene, ktoré ľahli popolom?“
34 (VUL) et dixit coram fratribus suis et optimatibus Samariae: “ Quid Iudaei faciunt imbecilles? Num hoc conceditur eis? Num, quia sacrificant, complebunt in una die? Numquid vivificare poterunt lapides de acervis pulveris, qui combusti sunt? ”.

35 (KAT) Amončan Tobiáš, ktorý stál pri ňom, vyslovil sa takisto: „Len nech stavajú! Veď stačí, keď príde líška, prerazí ich kamenný múr.“
