Kniha Nehemiášova

1 (KAT) V tomto čase sa čítalo ľudu, aby počul, z Mojžišovej knihy. Našlo sa v nej napísané, že Amončan a Moabčan sa nesmie nikdy dostať do Božieho zhromaždenia,
1 (VUL) In die autem illo lectum est in volumine Moysi, audiente populo, et inventum est scriptum in eo quod non debeant introire Ammonites et Moabites in ecclesiam Dei usque in aeternum,
1 (UKJV) "On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever; "

2 (KAT) a to preto, že sa nevybrali v ústrety Izraelcom s chlebom a vodou, ale najali Baláma, aby ich preklial. Lenže náš Boh obrátil tú kliatbu na požehnanie.
2 (VUL) eo quod non occurrerint filiis Israel cum pane et aqua et conduxerint adversum eos Balaam ad maledicendum eis, et convertit Deus noster maledictionem in benedictionem.
2 (UKJV) Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: nevertheless our God turned the curse into a blessing.

3 (KAT) Keď počuli ten zákon, oddelili od Izraela všetkých primiešancov.
3 (VUL) Factum est autem, cum audissent legem, separaverunt omnem promiscuum ab Israel.
3 (UKJV) Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.

4 (KAT) Ale predtým kňaz Eljašib, správca siení v Božom dome, Tobiášov príbuzný,
4 (VUL) Ante hoc autem erat Eliasib sacerdos, qui fuerat praepositus in gazophylacio domus Dei nostri et proximus Thobiae;
4 (UKJV) And before this, Eliashib the priest, having the oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, was allied unto Tobiah:

5 (KAT) prepožičal mu veľkú miestnosť, kde prv odkladali žertvy, kadidlo, nádoby, desatiny obilia, muštu a oleja, to, čo náležalo levitom, spevákom a vrátnikom, a kňazské dávky.
5 (VUL) fecerat ei gazophylacium grande, ubi antea reponebant munera et tus et vasa et decimam frumenti, vini et olei, partes Levitarum et cantorum et ianitorum et tributa sacerdotum.
5 (UKJV) "And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where in old times they laid the food offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests. "

6 (KAT) Keď sa toto všetko dialo, nebol som v Jeruzaleme, lebo v tridsiatom druhom roku babylonského kráľa Artaxerxa som išiel ku kráľovi. Po nejakom čase som poprosil kráľa (opäť) o dovolenie
6 (VUL) In omnibus autem his non fui in Ierusalem, quia anno tricesimo secundo Artaxerxis regis Babylonis veni ad regem et in fine dierum rogavi, ut abirem a rege,
6 (UKJV) But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:

7 (KAT) a vrátil som sa do Jeruzalema. Prišiel som na zlo, ktoré spáchal Eljašib kvôli Tobiášovi, keď mu prepožičal miestnosť vo dvoranách Božieho domu.
7 (VUL) et veni in Ierusalem. Et intellexi malum, quod fecerat Eliasib Thobiae: fecerat enim ei thesaurum in vestibulis domus Dei.
7 (UKJV) And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.

8 (KAT) Toto sa mi neľúbilo veľmi. Preto som vyhádzal všetko zariadenie Tobiášovho bytu z miestnosti
8 (VUL) Et malum mihi visum est valde, et proieci vasa domus Thobiae foras de gazophylacio;
8 (UKJV) And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff to Tobiah out of the chamber.

9 (KAT) a rozkázal som, aby očistili tieto siene. Potom som tam povnášal nádoby Božieho domu, obetný dar a kadidlo.
9 (VUL) praecepique, et emundaverunt gazophylacia, et rettuli ibi vasa domus Dei, oblationem et tus.
9 (UKJV) Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the food offering and the frankincense.

10 (KAT) Dozvedel som sa aj to, že levitom sa nedávalo, čo im patrí, a že sa porozbiehali každý na svoje pole; leviti i speváci, teda tí, ktorí mali konať službu.
10 (VUL) Et cognovi quod partes Levitarum non fuissent datae, et fugisset unusquisque in campum suum de Levitis et cantoribus, qui ministrabant.
10 (UKJV) And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field.

11 (KAT) Preto som vyčítal predstaveným a pýtal som sa ich: „Prečo je Boží dom opustený?“ Dal som ich zas dovedna a postavil som ich na ich miesta.
11 (VUL) Et egi causam adversus magistratus et dixi: “ Quare dereliquimus domum Dei? ”. Et congregavi eos et feci stare in stationibus suis.
11 (UKJV) Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.

12 (KAT) Potom všetci z Júdska donášali do zásobární desatinu obilia, muštu a oleja.
12 (VUL) Et omnis Iuda apportabat decimam frumenti, vini et olei in horrea.
12 (UKJV) Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries.

13 (KAT) Za dozorcov nad zásobami som ustanovil kňaza Šelemiáša, zákonníka Sadoka a z levitov Fadaiáša, za ich pomocníka Chanana, syna Mataniášovho syna Zakura, lebo ich pokladali za spoľahlivých. Ich úlohou bolo rozdeľovať svojim bratom. -
13 (VUL) Et constitui super horrea Selemiam sacerdotem et Sadoc scribam et Phadaiam de Levitis et iuxta eos Hanan filium Zacchur, filium Matthaniae, quoniam fideles comprobati sunt; et ipsi curam habebant distribuendi partes fratribus suis.
13 (UKJV) And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren.

14 (KAT) Pamätaj mi to, môj Bože, a nezabudni na moje dobré skutky, ktoré som urobil pre Boží dom a v jeho službe!
14 (VUL) Memento mei, Deus meus, pro hoc; et ne deleas opera mea bona, quae feci in domo Dei mei et in ministeriis eius!
14 (UKJV) Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.

15 (KAT) V tých dňoch som videl v Júdsku takých, ktorí šliapu v sobotu lis, prinášajú snopy, nakladajú na osly víno, hrozno, figy a ktovie aké bremená a dopravujú to v sobotný deň do Jeruzalema. Napomínal som ich vážne, aby v takýto deň nenúkali potraviny na predaj.
15 (VUL) In diebus illis vidi in Iuda calcantes torcularia in sabbato, portantes acervos et onerantes super asinos vinum et uvas et ficus et omne onus et inferentes in Ierusalem die sabbati; et contestatus sum, quando vendebant cibaria.
15 (UKJV) "In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals. "

16 (KAT) Aj Týrčania, ktorí tam bývali, donášali ryby a všeličo na predaj a predávali v sobotu Júdovcom v Jeruzaleme.
16 (VUL) Et ibi Tyrii habitaverunt in ea inferentes pisces et omnia venalia et vendebant in sabbatis filiis Iudae in Ierusalem.
16 (UKJV) There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

17 (KAT) Preto som vyčítal júdskym šľachticom a povedal som im: „Akú neprávosť to pášete, že znesväcujete sobotný deň!?
17 (VUL) Et obiurgavi optimates Iudae et dixi eis: “ Quae est haec res mala, quam vos facitis, et profanatis diem sabbati?
17 (UKJV) Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that all of you do, and profane the sabbath day?

18 (KAT) Nerobili to aj naši otcovia? A náš Boh dopustil na nás a na toto mesto všetko toto nešťastie! A vy ešte rozpaľujete hnev na Izrael tým, že znesväcujete sobotu!“
18 (VUL) Numquid non haec fecerunt patres nostri, et adduxit Deus noster super nos omne malum hoc et super civitatem hanc? Et vos additis iracundiam super Israel profanando sabbatum! ”.
18 (UKJV) Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet all of you bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.

19 (KAT) A len čo padli na jeruzalemské brány tône pred sobotou, rozkázal som pozatvárať vráta a vydal som rozkaz, že ich neslobodno otvoriť - až po sobote. Okrem toho som k bránam postavil zopár svojich služobníkov, aby v sobotný deň nevošlo dnu ani jedno bremeno.
19 (VUL) Factum est autem, cum obscuratae essent portae Ierusalem ante diem sabbati, dixi, et clauserunt ianuas; et praecepi, ut non aperirent eas usque post sabbatum. Et de pueris meis constitui super portas, ut nullus inferret onus in die sabbati.
19 (UKJV) And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.

20 (KAT) Kramári a predavači všelijakých vecí, ktoré mali na predaj, nocovali teda raz i druhý raz vonku pred Jeruzalemom.
20 (VUL) Et manserunt negotiatores et vendentes universa venalia foris Ierusalem semel et bis.
20 (UKJV) So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice.

21 (KAT) Vtedy som im pohrozil a povedal som im: „Prečo nocujete pred múrom? Ak to urobíte ešte raz, vztiahnem na vás ruku.“ Od toho času už neprišli v sobotu.
21 (VUL) Et contestatus sum eos et dixi eis: “ Quare manetis ex adverso muri? Si iterum hoc feceritis, manum mittam in vos ”. Itaque ex tempore illo non venerunt in sabbato.
21 (UKJV) Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge all of you about the wall? if all of you do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.

22 (KAT) Potom som rozkázal levitom, aby sa očistili a prišli strážiť brány, aby tak bol sobotný deň zasvätený.
22 (VUL) Dixi quoque Levitis, ut mundarentur et venirent ad custodiendas portas et sanctificandam diem sabbati. Et pro hoc ergo memento mei, Deus meus, et parce mihi secundum multitudinem miserationum tuarum!
22 (UKJV) And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of your mercy.

23 (KAT) Pamätaj mi, môj Bože, aj toto a odpusť mi podľa množstva svojho zľutovania!
23 (VUL) Sed et in diebus illis vidi Iudaeos, qui duxerant uxores Azotidas, Ammonitidas et Moabitidas.
23 (UKJV) In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:

24 (KAT) V tých dňoch som tiež videl Židov, ktorí si vzali za ženy Ašdoďanky, Amončianky a Moabčianky. Aj ich deti hovorili spola ašdodsky a nevedeli rozprávať po židovsky, ale hovorili rečou toho či onoho národa.
24 (VUL) Et filii eorum ex media parte loquebantur Azotice et nesciebant loqui Iudaice vel loquebantur iuxta linguam unius vel alterius populi.
24 (UKJV) And their children spoke half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people.

25 (KAT) Dohadoval som sa s nimi, nadával som im, bil a šklbal poniektorých mužov a zaprisahával ich na Boha: „Nevydávajte svoje dcéry za ich synov, ani neberte ich dcéry za manželky svojim synom ani sebe samým!
25 (VUL) Et obiurgavi eos et maledixi et cecidi quosdam ex eis et decalvavi eos; et adiuravi in Deo, ut non darent filias suas filiis eorum et non acciperent de filiabus eorum filiis suis et sibimetipsis dicens:
25 (UKJV) And I contended with them, and cursed them, and stroke certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, All of you shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.

26 (KAT) Nezhrešil tým izraelský kráľ Šalamún?! V toľkých národoch sa nenašiel kráľ, čo by mu bol roveň. Bol miláčikom svojho Boha a Boh ho ustanovil za kráľa nad celým Izraelom. No i jeho zviedli na hriech ženy, cudzinky.
26 (VUL) “ Numquid non in huiuscemodi re peccavit Salomon rex Israel? Et certe in gentibus multis non erat rex similis ei, et dilectus Deo suo erat, et posuit eum Deus regem super omnem Israel; et ipsum ergo duxerunt ad peccatum mulieres alienigenae.
26 (UKJV) Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did foreign women cause to sin.

27 (KAT) Nuž či nám treba počúvať aj o vás, že všetko toto veľké zlo tiež pášete a prehrešujete sa proti svojmu Bohu tým, že si beriete za ženy cudzinky?!“
27 (VUL) Numquid et vobis obsequentes faciemus omne malum grande hoc, ut praevaricemur in Deo nostro et ducamus uxores peregrinas? ”.
27 (UKJV) Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?

28 (KAT) Zo synov Jojadu, ktorý bol synom najvyššieho kňaza Eljašiba, jeden tiež bol zaťom Sanbalata Choronského, preto som ho zahnal od seba. -
28 (VUL) Unus autem de filiis Ioiada filii Eliasib sacerdotis magni gener erat Sanaballat Horonites, quem fugavi a me.
28 (UKJV) And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite: therefore I chased him from me.

29 (KAT) Pamätaj to, môj Bože, tým, ktorí poškvrnili kňazstvo a tú zmluvu, ktorú si s kňazmi a s levitmi uzavrel!
29 (VUL) Recordare, Domine Deus meus, adversum eos, qui polluunt sacerdotium et pactum sacerdotale et leviticum!
29 (UKJV) Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites.

30 (KAT) Tak som ich očistil od všetkého pohanského a ustanovil som povinnosti pre kňazov a pre levitov, pre každého v jeho práci,
30 (VUL) Igitur mundavi eos ab omnibus alienigenis et constitui ordines pro sacerdotibus et Levitis, unumquemque in ministerio suo,
30 (UKJV) "Thus cleansed I them from all strangers, and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites, every one in his business; "

31 (KAT) ďalej aby donášali drevo v určených časoch a takisto prvotiny. - Pamätaj, môj Bože, toto na moje dobro!
31 (VUL) et pro oblatione lignorum in temporibus constitutis et pro primitiis. Memento mei, Deus meus, in bonum.
31 (UKJV) And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the first-fruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.
