Kniha Nehemiášova

1 (KJV) The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,
1 (HEM) דברי נחמיה בן חכליה ויהי בחדש כסלו שנת עשרים ואני הייתי בשושן הבירה׃
1 (KAT) Vyprávanie Chakhaliášovho syna Nehemiáša. V mesiaci kislev, v dvadsiatom roku, keď som bol v hlavnom stane v Súzach,

2 (KJV) That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.
2 (HEM) ויבא חנני אחד מאחי הוא ואנשים מיהודה ואשאלם על היהודים הפליטה אשר נשארו מן השבי ועל ירושלם׃
2 (KAT) prišiel Chanani, jeden z mojich bratov, a s ním mužovia z Júdska. Spytoval som sa ich na Židov, na ten zvyšok, ktorý zostal zo zajatcov, a tiež na Jeruzalem.

3 (KJV) And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
3 (HEM) ויאמרו לי הנשארים אשר נשארו מן השבי שם במדינה ברעה גדלה ובחרפה וחומת ירושלם מפרצת ושעריה נצתו באש׃
3 (KAT) „Pozostalci,“ - vraveli mi - „ktorí pozostali zo zajatia, žijú tam v tej provincii vo veľkej sužobe a pohanení. Aj múr Jeruzalema je zborený a jeho brány sú vypálené ohňom.“

4 (KJV) And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
4 (HEM) ויהי כשמעי את הדברים האלה ישבתי ואבכה ואתאבלה ימים ואהי צם ומתפלל לפני אלהי השמים׃
4 (KAT) Keď som počul tieto slová, sadol som si, plakal som a kvílil celé dni, postil a modlil som sa k nebeskému Bohu.

5 (KJV) And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
5 (HEM) ואמר אנא יהוה אלהי השמים האל הגדול והנורא שמר הברית וחסד לאהביו ולשמרי מצותיו׃
5 (KAT) Bedákal som: „Prosím, Pane, Bože nebies, veľký, hrozný Bože, ktorý zachovávaš zmluvu a milosrdenstvo voči tým, čo ťa milujú a čo sa pridŕžajú tvojich prikázaní,

6 (KJV) Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned.
6 (HEM) תהי נא אזנך קשבת ועיניך פתוחות לשמע אל תפלת עבדך אשר אנכי מתפלל לפניך היום יומם ולילה על בני ישראל עבדיך ומתודה על חטאות בני ישראל אשר חטאנו לך ואני ובית אבי חטאנו׃
6 (KAT) nech sú tvoje uši pozorné a tvoje oči otvorené, aby si počul modlitbu svojho služobníka, ktorú sa dnes dňom i nocou modlím k tebe za Izraelových synov, tvojich služobníkov. Vyznávam hriechy izraelských synov, ktorými sa prehrešili proti tebe.

7 (KJV) We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.
7 (HEM) חבל חבלנו לך ולא שמרנו את המצות ואת החקים ואת המשפטים אשר צוית את משה עבדך׃
7 (KAT) Aj ja, aj dom môjho otca sme hrešili. Hrubo sme sa previnili proti tebe a nezachovali sme ani prikázania, ani ustanovenia, ani rozhodnutia, ktoré si dal svojmu služobníkovi Mojžišovi.

8 (KJV) Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:
8 (HEM) זכר נא את הדבר אשר צוית את משה עבדך לאמר אתם תמעלו אני אפיץ אתכם בעמים׃
8 (KAT) Rozpamätaj sa na slovo, ktoré si dal svojmu služobníkovi Mojžišovi: »Ak sa dopustíte zlého, rozptýlim vás po národoch.

9 (KJV) But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.
9 (HEM) ושבתם אלי ושמרתם מצותי ועשיתם אתם אם יהיה נדחכם בקצה השמים משם אקבצם והבואתים אל המקום אשר בחרתי לשכן את שמי שם׃
9 (KAT) Ale keď sa navrátite ku mne a keď zachováte moje prikázania a budete ich plniť, keby ste boli zahnaní aj na kraj neba, zhromaždím vás odtiaľ a privediem vás späť na miesto, ktoré som si zvolil, aby tam prebývalo moje meno.«

10 (KJV) Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.
10 (HEM) והם עבדיך ועמך אשר פדית בכחך הגדול ובידך החזקה׃
10 (KAT) Veď oni sú tvoji sluhovia a tvoj ľud, ktorý si ty vyslobodil svojou preveľkou silou a svojou mocnou rukou.

11 (KJV) O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.
11 (HEM) אנא אדני תהי נא אזנך קשבת אל תפלת עבדך ואל תפלת עבדיך החפצים ליראה את שמך והצליחה נא לעבדך היום ותנהו לרחמים לפני האיש הזה ואני הייתי משקה למלך׃
11 (KAT) Prosím teda, Pane, nech sa tvoje ucho započúva do modlitby tvojho služobníka a tiež do modlitby tvojich služobníkov, ktorí so záľubou ctia tvoje meno, a dopraj dnes úspech svojmu služobníkovi, dožič, aby našiel milosť v očiach tohto muža!“ Bol som totiž kráľovským čašníkom.
