Kniha Ezdrášova

1 (KJV) These are now the chief of their fathers, and this is the genealogy of them that went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king.
1 (B21) Toto je seznam rodových vůdců a jejich příbuzných, kteří se mnou za vlády krále Artaxerxe odešli z Babylonu:

2 (KJV) Of the sons of Phinehas; Gershom: of the sons of Ithamar; Daniel: of the sons of David; Hattush.
2 (B21) Ze synů Pinchasových: Geršom; ze synů Itamarových: Daniel; ze synů Davidových: Chatuš,

3 (KJV) Of the sons of Shechaniah, of the sons of Pharosh; Zechariah: and with him were reckoned by genealogy of the males an hundred and fifty.
3 (B21) syn Šekaniášův; ze synů Parošových: Zachariáš a s ním 150 zapsaných mužů;

4 (KJV) Of the sons of Pahath-moab; Elihoenai the son of Zerahiah, and with him two hundred males.
4 (B21) ze synů Pachat-moábových: Eljoenaj, syn Zerachiášův, a s ním 200 mužů;

5 (KJV) Of the sons of Shechaniah; the son of Jahaziel, and with him three hundred males.
5 (B21) ze synů Zatuových: Šekaniáš, syn Jachazielův, a s ním 300 mužů;

6 (KJV) Of the sons also of Adin; Ebed the son of Jonathan, and with him fifty males.
6 (B21) ze synů Adinových: Ebed, syn Jonatanův, a s ním 50 mužů;

7 (KJV) And of the sons of Elam; Jeshaiah the son of Athaliah, and with him seventy males.
7 (B21) ze synů Elamových: Ješajáš, syn Ataliášův, a s ním 70 mužů;

8 (KJV) And of the sons of Shephatiah; Zebadiah the son of Michael, and with him fourscore males.
8 (B21) ze synů Šefatiášových: Zebadiáš, syn Michaelův, a s ním 80 mužů;

9 (KJV) Of the sons of Joab; Obadiah the son of Jehiel, and with him two hundred and eighteen males.
9 (B21) ze synů Joábových: Obadiáš, syn Jechielův, a s ním 218 mužů;

10 (KJV) And of the sons of Shelomith; the son of Josiphiah, and with him an hundred and threescore males.
10 (B21) ze synů Baniho: Šelomit, syn Josifiášův, a s ním 160 mužů;

11 (KJV) And of the sons of Bebai; Zechariah the son of Bebai, and with him twenty and eight males.
11 (B21) ze synů Bebajových: Zachariáš, syn Bebajův, a s ním 28 mužů;

12 (KJV) And of the sons of Azgad; Johanan the son of Hakkatan, and with him an hundred and ten males.
12 (B21) ze synů Azgadových: Jochanan, syn Hakatanův, a s ním 110 mužů;

13 (KJV) And of the last sons of Adonikam, whose names are these, Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them threescore males.
13 (B21) ze synů Adonikamových jmenovitě: Elifelet, Jehiel, Šemajáš a s nimi dalších 60 mužů;

14 (KJV) Of the sons also of Bigvai; Uthai, and Zabbud, and with them seventy males.
14 (B21) ze synů Bigvajových: Utaj a Zabud a s ním 70 mužů.

15 (KJV) And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
15 (B21) Shromáždil jsem je u ahavského průplavu, kde jsme po tři dny tábořili. Pátral jsem mezi lidem i mezi kněžími po levitech, ale žádné jsem nenašel.

16 (KJV) Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.
16 (B21) Svolal jsem tedy vůdce Eliezera, Ariela, Šemajáše, Elnatana, Jariba, Elnatana, Nátana, Zachariáše a Mešulama spolu s učeným Jojaribem a Elnátanem

17 (KJV) And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.
17 (B21) a poslal jsem je za Idem, představeným levitů v Kasifii. Poučil jsem je, co říci Idovi a jeho bratrům, chrámovým sluhům v Kasifii: Ať nám pošlou služebníky pro dům našeho Boha.

18 (KJV) And by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;
18 (B21) Náš Bůh nad námi držel svou dobrotivou ruku. Ze synů Machliho, syna Leviho, syna Izraelova, nám poslali Šerebiáše, velmi schopného muže; s jeho syny a bratry jich bylo osmnáct.

19 (KJV) And Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;
19 (B21) Ze synů Merariho poslali Chašabiáše a Ješajáše; s jejich bratry a syny jich bylo 20.

20 (KJV) Also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.
20 (B21) Poslali také některé chrámové sluhy, které David s knížaty ustanovil, aby pomáhali levitům. Chrámových sluhů bylo 220; všichni jsou na jmenném seznamu.

21 (KJV) Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
21 (B21) Tehdy jsem tam u průplavu Ahava vyhlásil půst. Pokořovali jsme se před naším Bohem a žádali ho, aby na cestě chránil nás, naše děti i všechen náš majetek.

22 (KJV) For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.
22 (B21) Styděl jsem se totiž prosit krále o vojsko a jízdu, aby nás na cestě chránili před nepřáteli. Řekli jsme králi: "Náš Bůh dobrotivě drží svou ruku nade všemi, kdo ho hledají, ale jeho síla a hněv je proti všem, kdo ho opouštějí."

23 (KJV) So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.
23 (B21) Postili jsme se tedy a prosili za to svého Boha, a vyslyšel nás.

24 (KJV) Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them,
24 (B21) Potom jsem vybral dvanáct předních kněží: Šerebiáše, Chašabiáše a dalších deset jejich bratrů.

25 (KJV) And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering of the house of our God, which the king, and his counsellers, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered:
25 (B21) Navážil jsem jim stříbro, zlato i náčiní, které jako příspěvek na dům našeho Boha věnoval král, jeho rádci a hodnostáři jakož i všechen přítomný Izrael.

26 (KJV) I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels an hundred talents, and of gold an hundred talents;
26 (B21) Navážil jsem tedy a svěřil jim do péče: 650 talentů stříbra, 100 talentů stříbrného náčiní, 100 talentů zlata,

27 (KJV) Also twenty basons of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold.
27 (B21) 20 zlatých mis za 1 000 dareiků, 2 nádoby z jakostní leštěné mosazi vzácné jako zlato.

28 (KJV) And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the LORD; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.
28 (B21) Řekl jsem jim: "Jste svatí Hospodinu a rovněž toto náčiní je svaté. Toto zlato a stříbro je dobrovolný dar Hospodinu, Bohu vašich otců.

29 (KJV) Watch ye, and keep them, until ye weigh them before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the LORD.
29 (B21) Pečlivě je střežte, dokud je v Jeruzalémě neodvážíte předním kněžím, levitům a představitelům izraelských otcovských rodů do komor Hospodinova chrámu."

30 (KJV) So took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem unto the house of our God.
30 (B21) Tito kněží a levité tedy přijali zodpovědnost za stříbro, zlato i náčiní, jež měli donést do Jeruzaléma, do domu našeho Boha.

31 (KJV) Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.
31 (B21) Dvanáctého dne prvního měsíce jsme se od průplavu Ahava vydali na cestu do Jeruzaléma. Bůh nad námi držel svou ruku a chránil nás na cestě před nepřáteli a lupiči.

32 (KJV) And we came to Jerusalem, and abode there three days.
32 (B21) Po příchodu do Jeruzaléma jsme tři dny odpočívali.

33 (KJV) Now on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, Levites;
33 (B21) Čtvrtého dne bylo zlato, stříbro i náčiní pro dům našeho Boha odváženo a předáno knězi Meremotovi, synu Uriášovu, a Eleazarovi, synu Pinchasovu, za přítomnosti levitů Jozabada, syna Ješuova, a Noadiáše, syna Binuiho.

34 (KJV) By number and by weight of every one: and all the weight was written at that time.
34 (B21) Vše bylo spočítáno, zváženo a všechny váhy byly ihned zapsány.

35 (KJV) Also the children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering unto the LORD.
35 (B21) Když se vyhnanci vrátili ze zajetí, přinesli Bohu Izraele zápalné oběti: 12 býčků za celý Izrael, 96 beranů, 77 jehňat, 12 kozlů jako oběť za hřích. To vše přinesli jako zápalnou oběť Hospodinu.

36 (KJV) And they delivered the king's commissions unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the river: and they furthered the people, and the house of God.
36 (B21) Královským satrapům a zaeufratským hejtmanům předali královské rozkazy, a ti pak lidu i Božímu domu pomáhali.
