6 (KAT) Tento Ezdráš vyšiel z Babylonu. Bol zákonníkom, zbehlým v Mojžišovom zákone, ktorý dal Pán, Boh Izraela. Keďže bola nad ním ruka Pána, jeho Boha, kráľ mu dával všetko, o čo žiadal.

8 (UKJV) And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king.

9 (KAT) Na prvý deň prvého mesiaca bol totiž určený odchod z Babylonu a v prvý deň piateho mesiaca sa dostal do Jeruzalema, lebo na ňom spočívala dobrotivá ruka jeho Boha.
9 (VUL) In primo die mensis primi coepit ascendere de Babylone et in primo die mensis quinti venit in Ierusalem, iuxta manum Dei sui bonam super se.
9 (UKJV) For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.

10 (KAT) Lebo Ezdráš si umienil skúmať Pánov zákon, plniť ho a učiť izraelský ľud ustanovenia a právo.
10 (VUL) Esdras enim applicavit cor suum, ut investigaret et impleret legem Domini et faceret et doceret in Israel praeceptum et iudicium.
10 (UKJV) For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

14 (UKJV) "Forasmuch as you are sent of the king, and of his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of your God which is in your hand; "

16 (VUL) Et omne argentum et aurum, quodcumque inveneris in universa provincia Babylonis simul cum oblationibus sponte oblatis a populo et a sacerdotibus pro domo Dei sui, quae est in Ierusalem,
16 (UKJV) And all the silver and gold that you can find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem:

17 (KAT) Preto za tieto strieborniaky bezodkladne nakúp býky, barany a jahňatá s príslušnými pokrmovými a nápojovými obetami a obetuj ich na oltári chrámu vášho Boha v Jeruzaleme!

18 (UKJV) And whatsoever shall seem good to you, and to your brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.

19 (KAT) Nádoby, ktoré dostávaš pre službu v dome tvojho Boha, odovzdaj pred Bohom v Jeruzaleme!
19 (VUL) Vasa quoque, quae dantur tibi in ministerium domus Dei tui, trade in conspectu Dei in Ierusalem.
19 (UKJV) The vessels also that are given you for the service of the house of your God, those deliver you before the God of Jerusalem.

20 (KAT) A čo ešte treba pre dom tvojho Boha, čo ti bude ešte treba vynaložiť, uhraď z kráľovskej pokladnice!
20 (VUL) Sed et cetera, quibus opus fuerit in domum Dei tui, quantumcumque necesse est ut expendas, dabitur ab aerario regis.
20 (UKJV) And whatsoever more shall be necessary for the house of your God, which you shall have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king's treasure house.

21 (KAT) Ja, kráľ Artaxerxes, týmto nariaďujem všetkým pokladníkom na Záriečí: Všetko, o čo by vás požiadal kňaz Ezdráš, znalec zákona nebeského Boha, treba bez okolkov splniť

21 (UKJV) And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,

22 (KAT) do sto hrivien striebra, do sto korov pšenice, do sto batov vína, do sto batov oleja a soli bez účtovania!
22 (VUL) usque ad argenti talenta centum et usque ad frumenti coros centum et usque ad vini batos centum et usque ad batos olei centum; sal vero absque mensura.
22 (UKJV) Unto an hundred talents of silver, and to an hundred measures of wheat, and to an hundred baths of wine, and to an hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.

23 (KAT) Všetko, čo sa žiada podľa rozhodnutia nebeského Boha, treba presne splniť pre dom nebeského Boha, aby azda nezahorel hnevom proti kráľovej ríši a proti jeho synom.
23 (VUL) Omne, quod requirit Deus caeli, tribuatur diligenter in domo Dei caeli, ne forte irascatur contra regnum regis et filiorum eius.
23 (UKJV) Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

24 (KAT) Ďalej vám oznamujeme, že nik nemá práva uvaliť daň, dávku či mýto ani na kňazov, ani na levitov, spevákov, vrátnikov, chrámových nevoľníkov, ani na nijakých služobníkov tohto Božieho chrámu.
24 (VUL) Vobis quoque notum facimus de universis sacerdotibus et Levitis et cantoribus et ianitoribus, oblatis et ministris domus Dei huius, ut tributum et annonas et vectigal non habeatis potestatem imponendi super eos.
24 (UKJV) Also we certify you, that concerning any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.

25 (KAT) A ty, Ezdráš, podľa toho, ako prikazuje múdrosť tvojho Boha, ktorú máš v rukách, menuj sudcov vedno s obhájcami, aby vysluhovali právo všetkému ľudu na Záriečí, tým totiž, ktorí poznajú zákon tvojho Boha; a kto by ho nepoznal, toho učte!
25 (VUL) Tu autem, Esdra, secundum sapientiam Dei tui, quae est in manu tua, constitue praesides et iudices, ut iudicent omni populo, qui est trans flumen, his videlicet, qui noverunt legem Dei tui; sed et imperitos docete.
25 (UKJV) "And you, Ezra, after the wisdom of your God, that is in your hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of your God; and teach all of you them that know them not. "

26 (KAT) A tak každý, kto by neposlúchol zákon tvojho Boha alebo kráľov zákon, nech je bez okolkov odsúdený alebo na smrť, alebo do vyhnanstva, alebo na stratu majetku, alebo do žalára!“
26 (VUL) Et omnis, qui non fecerit legem Dei tui et legem regis diligenter, iudicium erit de eo, sive in mortem sive in exsilium sive in damnum substantiae eius vel certe in carcerem ”.
26 (UKJV) And whosoever will not do the law of your God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

27 (KAT) „Nech je zvelebený Pán, Boh našich otcov, ktorý vnukol kráľovi do srdca, aby okrášlil Pánov dom v Jeruzaleme
27 (VUL) Benedictus Dominus, Deus patrum nostrorum, qui dedit hoc in corde regis, ut glorificaret domum Domini, quae est in Ierusalem,
27 (UKJV) Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which has put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem:

28 (KAT) a naklonil ku mne milosť kráľa, jeho radcov a všetkých vysokých hodnostárov kráľa. A tak ja, posilnený rukou Pána, svojho Boha, ktorá bola nado mnou, zhromaždil som popredných z Izraela, aby išli so mnou.“
28 (VUL) et in me inclinavit misericordiam regis et consiliariorum eius et cunctorum principum eius potentium. Et ego confortatus manu Domini Dei mei, quae erat in me, congregavi de Israel principes, qui ascenderent mecum.
28 (UKJV) And has extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
