1 (HEM) באדין דריוש מלכא שם טעם ובקרו בבית ספריא די גנזיא מהחתין תמה בבבל׃
1 (KAT) Vtedy kráľ Dárius vydal rozkaz hľadať v klenotnici písomnosti, ktoré boli uložené až tam v Babylone.
1 (UKJV) Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon.

2 (HEM) והשתכח באחמתא בבירתא די במדי מדינתה מגלה חדה וכן כתיב בגוה דכרונה׃
2 (KAT) Aj sa našiel v panovníckom sídle Ekbatana, ktoré leží v médskej provincii, jeden zvitok, kde bol zaznačený tento doklad:
2 (UKJV) And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written:

3 (HEM) בשנת חדה לכורש מלכא כורש מלכא שם טעם בית אלהא בירושלם ביתא יתבנא אתר די דבחין דבחין ואשוהי מסובלין רומה אמין שתין פתיה אמין שתין׃
3 (KAT) „V prvom roku kráľa Kýra rozkázal kráľ Kýros vo veci jeruzalemského chrámu Božieho: Nech sa stavia tento chrám ako miesto, na ktorom sa prinášajú obety a žertvy, na základoch, ktoré znesú jeho výšku šesťdesiat lakťov a jeho šírku šesťdesiat lakťov.
3 (UKJV) "In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be built, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits; "

4 (HEM) נדבכין די אבן גלל תלתא ונדבך די אע חדת ונפקתא מן בית מלכא תתיהב׃
4 (KAT) Vo tri vrstvy nech je z kresaného kameňa a potom jedna vrstva z dreva.
4 (UKJV) With three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king's house:

5 (HEM) ואף מאני בית אלהא די דהבה וכספא די נבוכדנצר הנפק מן היכלא די בירושלם והיבל לבבל יהתיבון ויהך להיכלא די בירושלם לאתרה ותחת בבית אלהא׃
5 (KAT) Náklad nech sa dáva z kráľovského dvora. Aj zlaté a strieborné nádoby, ktoré patrili Božiemu domu a ktoré Nabuchodonozor zobral z chrámu v Jeruzaleme a doniesol do Babylonu, nech vrátia a nech putujú späť do jeruzalemského chrámu! Zlož ich v Božom chráme!“
5 (UKJV) And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of God.

6 (HEM) כען תתני פחת עבר נהרה שתר בוזני וכנותהון אפרסכיא די בעבר נהרה רחיקין הוו מן תמה׃
6 (KAT) „Teraz teda choďte odtiaľ preč, vladár na Záriečí Tatenai a Šetar Bozenai so svojimi spolupracovníkmi i Afarsechičania spoza Rieky!
6 (UKJV) Now therefore, Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the Apharsachites, which are beyond the river, be all of you far from thence:

7 (HEM) שבקו לעבידת בית אלהא דך פחת יהודיא ולשבי יהודיא בית אלהא דך יבנון על אתרה׃
7 (KAT) Nechajte, nech sa pracuje na tom Božom dome! Nech židovský vladár a ich starší stavajú ten Boží chrám tam, kde stál predtým.
7 (UKJV) "Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in his place. "

8 (HEM) ומני שים טעם למא די תעבדון עם שבי יהודיא אלך למבנא בית אלהא דך ומנכסי מלכא די מדת עבר נהרה אספרנא נפקתא תהוא מתיהבא לגבריא אלך די לא לבטלא׃
8 (KAT) Aj z mojej strany sa týmto vydáva rozkaz o tom, ako sa máte zachovať k židovským starším, ktorí stavajú ten Boží chrám: Nech sa z kráľovských príjmov, z toho, čo vynáša daň Záriečia, bez okolkov vyplácajú náklady tým mužom, aby dielo neviazlo.
8 (UKJV) Moreover I make a decree what all of you shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king's goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expenses be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.

9 (HEM) ומה חשחן ובני תורין ודכרין ואמרין לעלון לאלה שמיא חנטין מלח חמר ומשח כמאמר כהניא די בירושלם להוא מתיהב להם יום ביום די לא שלו׃
9 (KAT) A čo treba, junce, barany a jahňatá na zápalné žertvy nebeskému Bohu, zrno, soľ, víno a či olej nech sa im každodenne dáva bez akéhokoľvek klamstva, o čo požiadajú kňazi,
9 (UKJV) And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:

10 (HEM) די להון מהקרבין ניחוחין לאלה שמיא ומצלין לחיי מלכא ובנוהי׃
10 (KAT) aby prinášali nebeskému Bohu ľúbe obety a modlili sa za blažený život kráľa a jeho rodiny.
10 (UKJV) That they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.

11 (HEM) ומני שים טעם די כל אנש די יהשנא פתגמא דנה יתנסח אע מן ביתה וזקיף יתמחא עלהי וביתה נולו יתעבד על דנה׃
11 (KAT) Ďalej sa vydáva z mojej strany rozkaz: Ktokoľvek by nedodržal toto nariadenie, nech vytrhnú z jeho domu trám, nech ho vztýčia a nech ho naň pribijú! A jeho dom nech je z trestu obrátený na rozvalenisko!
11 (UKJV) "Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this. "

12 (HEM) ואלהא די שכן שמה תמה ימגר כל מלך ועם די ישלח ידה להשניה לחבלה בית אלהא דך די בירושלם אנה דריוש שמת טעם אספרנא יתעבד׃
12 (KAT) A Boh, ktorý tam dáva prebývať svojmu menu, nech zvrhne každého kráľa a ľud, ktorí by sa odvážili toto nedodržiavať a mariť ten Boží chrám v Jeruzaleme! Ja, Dárius, som vydal tento rozkaz. Nech sa prísne dodržiava!“
12 (UKJV) "And the God that has caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed. "

13 (HEM) אדין תתני פחת עבר נהרה שתר בוזני וכנותהון לקבל די שלח דריוש מלכא כנמא אספרנא עבדו׃
13 (KAT) A vladár na Záriečí Tatenai, Šetar Bozenai a ich spolupracovníci urobili presne podľa toho, ako im odpovedal kráľ Dárius.
13 (UKJV) Then Tatnai, governor on this side the river, Shetharboznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the king had sent, so they did speedily.

14 (HEM) ושבי יהודיא בנין ומצלחין בנבואת חגי נביאה וזכריה בר עדוא ובנו ושכללו מן טעם אלה ישראל ומטעם כורש ודריוש וארתחששתא מלך פרס׃
14 (KAT) A tak židovskí starší mohli ďalej stavať a robota im išla od rúk, ako predpovedal prorok Aggeus a Idov syn Zachariáš. Stavali teda, až dostavali z nariadenia Izraelovho Boha a z nariadenia perzských kráľov Kýra, Dária a Artaxerxa.
14 (UKJV) And the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

15 (HEM) ושיציא ביתה דנה עד יום תלתה לירח אדר די היא שנת שת למלכות דריוש מלכא׃
15 (KAT) A tak ten Boží dom dokončili do tretieho dňa mesiaca adar, v šiestom roku kraľovania kráľa Dária.
15 (UKJV) And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

16 (HEM) ועבדו בני ישראל כהניא ולויא ושאר בני גלותא חנכת בית אלהא דנה בחדוה׃
16 (KAT) Potom Izraeliti, kňazi, leviti a ostatní, čo prišli zo zajatia, oslávili natešení posvätenie Božieho chrámu.
16 (UKJV) And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy.

17 (HEM) והקרבו לחנכת בית אלהא דנה תורין מאה דכרין מאתין אמרין ארבע מאה וצפירי עזין לחטיא על כל ישראל תרי עשר למנין שבטי ישראל׃
17 (KAT) Na posviacku tohto Božieho chrámu obetovali sto býkov, dvesto baranov, štyristo jahneniec a dvanásť capov na obetu za hriech, za celý Izrael podľa počtu izraelských kmeňov.
17 (UKJV) "And offered at the dedication of this house of God an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve he goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel. "

18 (HEM) והקימו כהניא בפלגתהון ולויא במחלקתהון על עבידת אלהא די בירושלם ככתב ספר משה׃
18 (KAT) Potom zadelili kňazov po ich triedach, levitov takisto po ich oddeleniach na Božiu službu v Jeruzaleme, ako sa píše v Mojžišovej knihe.
18 (UKJV) "And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, for the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in the book of Moses. "

19 (HEM) ויעשו בני הגולה את הפסח בארבעה עשר לחדש הראשון׃
19 (KAT) Vtedy tí, čo prišli zo zajatia, slávili Veľkú noc, na štrnásty deň prvého mesiaca.
19 (UKJV) And the children of the captivity kept the passover upon the fourteenth day of the first month.

20 (HEM) כי הטהרו הכהנים והלוים כאחד כלם טהורים וישחטו הפסח לכל בני הגולה ולאחיהם הכהנים ולהם׃
20 (KAT) Lebo kňazi a leviti sa do jedného očistili; všetci boli čistí, a tak zabíjali veľkonočného baránka všetkým, čo prišli zo zajatia aj svojim bratom kňazom, aj sebe.
20 (UKJV) For the priests and the Levites were purified together, all of them were pure, and killed the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.

21 (HEM) ויאכלו בני ישראל השבים מהגולה וכל הנבדל מטמאת גוי הארץ אלהם לדרש ליהוה אלהי ישראל׃
21 (KAT) Izraeliti teda jedli veľkonočného baránka; a nielen tí, čo prišli zo zajatia, ale aj všetci, čo sa oddelili od poškvrny pohanov tej krajiny a pridali sa k nim, aby hľadali Pána, Izraelovho Boha.
21 (UKJV) And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat,

22 (HEM) ויעשו חג מצות שבעת ימים בשמחה כי שמחם יהוה והסב לב מלך אשור עליהם לחזק ידיהם במלאכת בית האלהים אלהי ישראל׃
22 (KAT) Slávili aj sviatok Nekvasených chlebov sedem dní v radosti, lebo Pán ich obdaroval radosťou, že im naklonil priazeň asýrskeho kráľa, takže im bol na pomoci pri stavaní chrámu Boha, Izraelovho Boha.
22 (UKJV) And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the LORD had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.
