1 (KAT) Asa robil, čo bolo dobré a spravodlivé v očiach Pána, jeho Boha.

4 (KAT) Odstránil zo všetkých júdskych miest výšiny a chamány. Kým bol on, kráľovstvo malo pokoj.
4 (VUL) et abstulit e cunctis urbibus Iudae excelsa et thymiateria et regnavit in pace.

6 (KAT) Povedal Júdovi: „Stavajme tieto mestá a ohraďme ich múrom, vežami, bránami a závorami! Krajina je ešte pred nami, lebo sme hľadali Pána, svojho Boha. Hľadali sme a doprial nám pokoj zo všetkých strán.“ Stavali teda s úspechom.
6 (VUL) Dixit autem Iudae: “ Aedificemus civitates istas et vallemus muris et roboremus turribus et portis et seris, donec a bellis quieta sunt omnia; quia quaesivimus Dominum Deum nostrum, quaesivit nos et dedit nobis pacem per gyrum ”. Aedificaverunt igitur et prosperati sunt.

10 (VUL) et invocavit Asa Dominum Deum suum et ait: “ Domine, non est apud te ulla distantia, utrum paucis auxilieris an pluribus; adiuva nos, Domine Deus noster. In te enim et in tuo nomine habentes fiduciam venimus contra hanc multitudinem. Domine, Deus noster tu es, non praevaleat contra te homo ”.

12 (KAT) Asa a vojsko, ktoré bolo s ním, prenasledovalo ich až po Gerar. Z Etiópčanov padli toľkí, že sotva bolo u nich živého, lebo Pán a jeho vojsko ich zlomili. Nabrali veľa koristi
12 (VUL) Et persecutus est eos Asa et populus, qui cum eo erat, usque Gerar; et ruerunt Aethiopes usque ad internecionem, quia Domino caedente contriti sunt et exercitu illius proeliante. Tulerunt ergo spolia multa
12 (UKJV) "So the LORD stroke the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled. "

13 (KAT) a porazili všetky mestá na okolí Geraru, lebo sa ich zmocnil strach pred Pánom. Všetky tie mestá vyplienili, lebo v nich bolo veľa koristi.
13 (VUL) et percusserunt omnes civitates per circuitum Gerarae; terror quippe Domini eos invaserat. Et diripuerunt omnes urbes et multam praedam asportaverunt.
13 (UKJV) "And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar: and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil. "

14 (KAT) Zborili aj stany pri dobytku, zajali množstvo oviec a tiav a vrátili sa do Jeruzalema.
14 (VUL) Sed et caulas ovium destruentes tulerunt pecorum infinitam multitudinem et camelorum reversique sunt Ierusalem.
14 (UKJV) "And they stroke all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them: and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them. "

15 (UKJV) They stroke also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.
