1 (HEM) ויהי כהכין מלכות רחבעם וכחזקתו עזב את תורת יהוה וכל ישראל עמו׃
1 (KJV) And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him.
1 (ROH) A stalo sa, keď už stálo pevne kráľovstvo Rechabeámovo a keď už cítil svoju silu, že opustil zákon Hospodinov a celý Izrael s ním.

2 (HEM) ויהי בשנה החמישית למלך רחבעם עלה שישק מלך מצרים על ירושלם כי מעלו ביהוה׃
2 (KJV) And it came to pass, that in the fifth year of king Rehoboam Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against the LORD,
2 (ROH) A stalo sa v piatom roku kráľa Rechabeáma, že prišiel hore Šišak, egyptský kráľ, proti Jeruzalemu, lebo sa boli prehrešili proti Hospodinovi dopustiac sa nevernosti,

3 (HEM) באלף ומאתים רכב ובששים אלף פרשים ואין מספר לעם אשר באו עמו ממצרים לובים סכיים וכושים׃
3 (KJV) With twelve hundred chariots, and threescore thousand horsemen: and the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt; the Lubims, the Sukkiims, and the Ethiopians.
3 (ROH) s tisíc a dvesto vozmi a so šesťdesiat tisíc jazdcami, a nebolo počtu ľudu, ktorý prišiel s ním z Egypta, Lýbovia, Sukkovia a Ethiopi.

4 (HEM) וילכד את ערי המצרות אשר ליהודה ויבא עד ירושלם׃
4 (KJV) And he took the fenced cities which pertained to Judah, and came to Jerusalem.
4 (ROH) A zaujal ohradené mestá, ktoré patrily Judsku, a prišiel až k Jeruzalemu.

5 (HEM) ושמעיה הנביא בא אל רחבעם ושרי יהודה אשר נאספו אל ירושלם מפני שישק ויאמר להם כה אמר יהוה אתם עזבתם אתי ואף אני עזבתי אתכם ביד שישק׃
5 (KJV) Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
5 (ROH) Vtedy prišiel prorok Šemaiáš k Rechabeámovi a k judským kniežatám, ktorí sa boli shromaždili do Jeruzalema pred Šišakom, a riekol im: Takto hovorí Hospodin: Vy ste mňa opustili, a preto som i ja vás opustil a vydal do ruky Šišaka.

6 (HEM) ויכנעו שרי ישראל והמלך ויאמרו צדיק יהוה׃
6 (KJV) Whereupon the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, The LORD is righteous.
6 (ROH) Vtedy sa pokorili izraelské kniežatá i kráľ a riekli: Hospodin je spravedlivý.

7 (HEM) ובראות יהוה כי נכנעו היה דבר יהוה אל שמעיה לאמר נכנעו לא אשחיתם ונתתי להם כמעט לפליטה ולא תתך חמתי בירושלם ביד שישק׃
7 (KJV) And when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
7 (ROH) A keď videl Hospodin, že sa pokorili, stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo k Šemaiášovi povediac: Pokorili sa, nezahladím ich, ale im dám, aby o málo času unikli, a nevylejem svojho hnevu na Jeruzalem skrze Šišaka.

8 (HEM) כי יהיו לו לעבדים וידעו עבודתי ועבודת ממלכות הארצות׃
8 (KJV) Nevertheless they shall be his servants; that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.
8 (ROH) Avšak istotne mu budú za sluhov, aby poznali moju službu a službu kráľovstiev zemí.

9 (HEM) ויעל שישק מלך מצרים על ירושלם ויקח את אצרות בית יהוה ואת אצרות בית המלך את הכל לקח ויקח את מגני הזהב אשר עשה שלמה׃
9 (KJV) So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he took all: he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
9 (ROH) A tedy vyšiel Šišak, egyptský kráľ, hore proti Jeruzalemu a pobral poklady domu Hospodinovho i poklady domu kráľovho. Všetko pobral a vzal i malé štíty zlaté, ktorých bol narobil Šalamún.

10 (HEM) ויעש המלך רחבעם תחתיהם מגני נחשת והפקיד על יד שרי הרצים השמרים פתח בית המלך׃
10 (KJV) Instead of which king Rehoboam made shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the chief of the guard, that kept the entrance of the king's house.
10 (ROH) A kráľ Rechabeám narobil malých štítov medených miesto nich a oddal ich do ruky veliteľom behúňov kráľovskej stráže, ktorí strážili vchod do domu kráľovho.

11 (HEM) ויהי מדי בוא המלך בית יהוה באו הרצים ונשאום והשבום אל תא הרצים׃
11 (KJV) And when the king entered into the house of the LORD, the guard came and fetched them, and brought them again into the guard chamber.
11 (ROH) A bývalo, že kedykoľvek išiel kráľ do domu Hospodinovho, prišli behúni a nosili ich a zase ich odnášali zpät do strážnice behúňov.

12 (HEM) ובהכנעו שב ממנו אף יהוה ולא להשחית לכלה וגם ביהודה היה דברים טובים׃
12 (KJV) And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.
12 (ROH) Ale keď sa pokoril, odvrátil sa od neho hnev Hospodinov, a nechcel ho celkom zahladiť. A boly aj v Júdovi dobré veci.-

13 (HEM) ויתחזק המלך רחבעם בירושלם וימלך כי בן ארבעים ואחת שנה רחבעם במלכו ושבע עשרה שנה מלך בירושלם העיר אשר בחר יהוה לשום את שמו שם מכל שבטי ישראל ושם אמו נעמה העמנית׃
13 (KJV) So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
13 (ROH) A tedy sa zmocnil kráľ Rechabeám v Jeruzaleme a kraľoval, lebo Rechabeám mal štyridsaťjeden rokov, keď začal kraľovať, a kraľoval sedemnásť rokov v Jeruzaleme, v meste, ktoré si vyvolil Hospodin zo všetkých pokolení Izraelových nato, aby tam položil svoje meno. A meno jeho matky bolo Naama Ammonská.

14 (HEM) ויעש הרע כי לא הכין לבו לדרוש את יהוה׃
14 (KJV) And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.
14 (ROH) Robil to, čo je zlé, lebo neustavil svojho srdca hľadať Hospodina.

15 (HEM) ודברי רחבעם הראשנים והאחרונים הלא הם כתובים בדברי שמעיה הנביא ועדו החזה להתיחש ומלחמות רחבעם וירבעם כל הימים׃
15 (KJV) Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the book of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer concerning genealogies? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
15 (ROH) A deje Rechabeámove, prvé i posledné, či nie sú napísané v dejinách proroka Šemaiáša a vidiaceho Iddu, kde sa vypočitujú rody? A vojny boly medzi Rechabeámom a Jeroboámom po všetky dni.

16 (HEM) וישכב רחבעם עם אבתיו ויקבר בעיר דויד וימלך אביה בנו תחתיו׃
16 (KJV) And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David: and Abijah his son reigned in his stead.
16 (ROH) A tak ľahol Rechabeám a ležal so svojimi otcami a bol pochovaný v meste Dávidovom. A kraľoval Abiáš, jeho syn, miesto neho.
