1 (B21) David a hlavní hodnostáři vyčlenili některé z Asafových, Hemanových a Jedutunových synů ke službě prorokování za zvuku citer, lyr a činelů. Zde je výčet mužů, kteří konali tuto službu:

2 (B21) Z Asafových synů: Zakur, Josef, Netaniáš a Asarela, synové Asafovi pod vedením Asafa, který prorokoval na králův pokyn.
2 (KAT) z Asafových synov Zachur, Jozef, Nataniáš a Asarela. Asafovi synovia boli pod rukou Asafa, ktorý prorokoval pod dozorom kráľa.
2 (UKJV) "Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, which prophesied according to the order of the king. "

5 (B21) Ti všichni byli synové králova vidoucího Hemana. Bůh mu zaslíbil, že pozdvihne jeho roh, a tak mu dal čtrnáct synů a tři dcery.
5 (KAT) Všetci títo boli synovia kráľovho vidca Hemana. Podľa Božích výrokov, že povýši jeho roh, dal Boh Hemanovi štrnásť synov a tri dcéry.

6 (B21) Ti všichni se v Hospodinově domě pod vedením svého otce věnovali hudbě na činely, lyry a citery; to byla jejich služba při Božím domě. (Asaf, Jedutun a Heman zodpovídali přímo králi.)
6 (KAT) Títo všetci boli pod vedením svojho otca zapojení do spevu v Pánovom chráme. Pri cimbaloch, harfách a citarách boli v službe Božiemu domu pod vedením kráľa, Asafa, Idutuna a Hemana.

8 (B21) Služby si rozvrhli losem, mladí stejně jako staří, mistři spolu s žáky.
8 (KAT) O službe žrebovali rovnako medzi malým i veľkým, majstrom i žiakom.
8 (UKJV) And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.

9 (B21) Výsledky losování: první: Josef z Asafova rodu a jeho bratři a synové 12 druhý: Gedaliáš a jeho bratři a synové 12
9 (KAT) Prvý žreb vyšiel Asafovcovi Jozefovi. Druhý Godoliášovi, jemu, jeho bratom a synom, dvanástim.
