1Krn 21, 1-30

1 (KAT) I povstal satan proti Izraelovi a pokúšal Dávida, aby spočítal Izraelitov.
1 (UKJV) And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.

2 (UKJV) "And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it. "

3 (UKJV) And Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? why then does my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?

4 (UKJV) Nevertheless the king's word prevailed against Joab. Wherefore Joab departed, and went throughout all Israel, and came to Jerusalem.

5 (KAT) A Joab odovzdal výsledok sčítania ľudu Dávidovi. V celom Izraeli bolo milión stotisíc mužov, ktorí tasia meč, Júdovcov však bolo štyristosedemdesiattisíc mužov, ktorí tasia meč.
5 (VUL) Deditque David numerum census, et inventus est omnis Israel numerus mille milia et centum milia virorum educentium gladium; de Iuda autem quadringenta septuaginta milia bellatorum;
5 (UKJV) And Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto David. And all they of Israel were a thousand thousand and an hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword.

6 (KAT) Levitov a Benjamíncov nepočítal medzi nich, lebo Joabovi bol Dávidov rozkaz odporný.
6 (UKJV) But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: for the king's word was abominable to Joab.

7 (KAT) Ani Bohu sa táto vec nepáčila a potrestal Izraelitov.
7 (UKJV) "And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he stroke Israel. "

8 (UKJV) "And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I plead to you, do away the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly. "

9 (UKJV) And the LORD spoke unto Gad, David's seer, saying,

10 (KAT) „Choď a povedz Dávidovi: Toto hovorí Pán: Predkladám ti tri veci; vyber si z nich jednu, tú na teba dopustím!“
10 (UKJV) Go and tell David, saying, Thus says the LORD, I offer you three things: choose you one of them, that I may do it unto you.

11 (KAT) Gad išiel k Dávidovi a povedal mu: „Toto hovorí Pán: Vyber si:
11 (VUL) Cumque venisset Gad ad David, dixit ei: “ Haec dicit Dominus: Elige, quod volueris:
11 (UKJV) So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus says the LORD, Choose you

Nunc igitur vide quid respondeam ei, qui misit me ”.
12 (UKJV) "Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before your foes, while that the sword of your enemies overtakes you; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise yourself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me. "

13 (KAT) Dávid povedal Gadovi: „Som vo veľkej úzkosti. No nech padnem do Pánovej ruky, lebo jeho milosrdenstvo je veľké!
13 (UKJV) "And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man. "

14 (KAT) Tak Pán dopustil mor na Izrael, takže z Izraelitov padlo sedemdesiattisíc mužov.
14 (VUL) Misit ergo Dominus pestilentiam in Israel, et ceciderunt de Israel septuaginta milia virorum.
14 (UKJV) So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men.

15 (KAT) Potom Boh poslal anjela do Jeruzalema, aby ho ničil.
15 (VUL) Misit quoque Deus angelum in Ierusalem, ut percuteret eam. Porro angelus Domini stabat iuxta aream Ornan Iebusaei.
15 (UKJV) And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now your hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

16 (KAT) Keď Dávid zdvihol zrak, videl Pánovho anjela stáť medzi zemou a nebom s vytaseným mečom v ruke, ktorú mal vystretú nad Jeruzalem. Nato Dávid a starší, poobliekaní do vrecovín, padli na tvár
16 (UKJV) And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.

17 (KAT) a Dávid hovoril Bohu: „Nerozkázal som ja spočítať ľud?
17 (UKJV) "And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let your hand, I pray you, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on your people, that they should be plagued. "

18 (KAT) A Pánov anjel poveril Gada povedať Dávidovi, aby šiel hore a aby na humne Jebuzejca Ornana postavil Pánovi oltár.
18 (VUL) Angelus autem Domini praecepit Gad dicere David, ut ascenderet exstrueretque altare Domino in area Ornan Iebusaei.
18 (UKJV) Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the LORD in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

19 (KAT) Dávid teda šiel hore podľa slova, ktoré mu v Pánovom mene povedal Gad.
19 (VUL) Ascendit ergo David iuxta sermonem Gad, quem locutus fuerat ex nomine Domini.
19 (UKJV) And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spoke in the name of the LORD.

20 (UKJV) "And Ornan turned back, and saw the angel; and his four sons with him hid themselves. Now Ornan was threshing wheat. "

21 (UKJV) And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshing floor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.

22 (UKJV) Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshing floor, that I may build an altar therein unto the LORD: you shall grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people.

23 (KAT) Ornan povedal Dávidovi: „Vezmi si ho! A nech môj kráľovský pán urobí, čo uzná za dobré. Pozri, hovädá dám na celopal, mláťačku na drevo a pšenicu na nekrvavú obetu; to všetko dávam.“
23 (UKJV) "And Ornan said unto David, Take it to you, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give you the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the food offering; I give it all. "

24 (UKJV) "And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is your for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost. "

25 (VUL) Dedit ergo David Ornan pro loco siclos auri iustissimi ponderis sescentos
25 (UKJV) So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.

26 (VUL) et aedificavit ibi altare Domino obtulitque holocausta et pacifica et invocavit Dominum. Et exaudivit eum in igne de caelo super altare holocausti,
26 (UKJV) "And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering. "

27 (KAT) Nato dal Pán anjelovi rozkaz a on dal svoj meč naspäť do pošvy.
27 (VUL) praecepitque Dominus angelo, et convertit gladium suum in vaginam.
27 (UKJV) "And the LORD commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof. "

28 (KAT) V tom čase, keď Dávid videl, že ho Pán vypočul na humne Jebuzejca Ornana, prinášal tam obety.
28 (VUL) In illo ergo tempore David videns quod exaudisset eum Dominus in area Ornan Iebusaei immolavit ibi victimas.
28 (UKJV) At that time when David saw that the LORD had answered him in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.

29 (VUL) Tabernaculum autem Domini, quod fecerat Moyses in deserto, et altare holocaustorum ea tempestate erat in excelso Gabaon;
29 (UKJV) For the tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high place at Gibeon.

30 (UKJV) But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
