2Kr 22, 1-20

1 (KAT) Joziáš mal osem rokov, keď začal kraľovať, a tridsaťjeden rokov kraľoval v Jeruzaleme.
1 (UKJV) Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.

2 (UKJV) And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

3 (KAT) V osemnástom roku kráľa Joziáša poslal kráľ pisára Safana, syna Asliáša, syna Mesulama, do Pánovho chrámu s odkazom:
3 (VUL) Anno autem octavo decimo regis Iosiae misit rex Saphan filium Eseliae filii Mesullam scribam ad templum Domini dicens ei:
3 (UKJV) And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of the LORD, saying,

4 (UKJV) Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:

5 (KAT) a nech ich odovzdá dielovedúcim, ktorí majú dozor v Pánovom chráme. Oni nech ich dajú robotníkom, ktorí sú v Pánovom chráme a opravujú poruchy Pánovho chrámu,
5 (UKJV) And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD: and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the LORD, to repair the breaches of the house,

6 (KAT) tesárom, staviteľom, murárom a nech zaopatria drevo a tesaný kameň na opravu chrámu!
6 (UKJV) Unto carpenters, and builders, and stone workers, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house.

7 (UKJV) Nevertheless there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.

8 (KAT) Vtedy povedal veľkňaz Helkiáš pisárovi Safanovi: „Našiel som Knihu zákona v Pánovom chráme.“ Helkiáš Knihu odovzdal Safanovi a on ju prečítal.
8 (VUL) Dixit autem Helcias pontifex ad Saphan scribam: “ Librum legis repperi in domo Domini! ”.
8 (UKJV) And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

9 (KAT) Potom išiel pisár Safan ku kráľovi a podal kráľovi správu: „Tvoji sluhovia vysypali peniaze, ktoré boli v chráme, a odovzdali ich dielovedúcim, čo majú dozor v Pánovom chráme.“
9 (UKJV) And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Your servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD.

10 (KAT) A pisár Safan oznámil kráľovi: „Kňaz Helkiáš mi dal knihu.“ A Safan ju čítal pred kráľom.
10 (VUL) Narravitque Saphan scriba regi dicens: “ Librum dedit mihi Helcias sacerdos ”. Quem cum legisset Saphan coram rege,
10 (UKJV) And Shaphan the scribe showed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest has delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.

11 (KAT) Keď kráľ počul slová Knihy zákona, roztrhol si rúcho.
11 (VUL) et audisset rex verba libri legis, scidit vestimenta sua
11 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes.

12 (KAT) A kráľ rozkázal kňazovi Helkiášovi, Safanovmu synovi Achikamovi, Michovmu synovi Achoborovi, pisárovi Safanovi a kráľovmu sluhovi Asaiášovi:
12 (VUL) et praecepit Helciae sacerdoti et Ahicam filio Saphan et Achobor filio Micha et Saphan scribae et Asaiae servo regis dicens:
12 (UKJV) And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king's, saying,

13 (UKJV) Go all of you, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

14 (KAT) Kňaz Helkiáš, Achikam, Achobor, Safan a Asaiáš išli k prorokyni Holde, manželke Seluma, syna Tekuu, syna Araása, strážcu šiat.
14 (UKJV) "So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her. "

15 (UKJV) And she said unto them, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me,

16 (UKJV) Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah has read:

17 (KAT) Pretože opustili mňa a pálili tymian iným bohom, aby ma popudzovali každým činom svojich rúk, vzbĺkne môj hnev proti tomuto miestu a nevyhasne.
17 (VUL) quia dereliquerunt me et sacrificaverunt diis alienis irritantes me in cunctis operibus manuum suarum; et succendetur indignatio mea in loco hoc et non exstinguetur.
17 (UKJV) "Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched. "

18 (UKJV) "But to the king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the LORD, thus shall all of you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, As concerning the words which you have heard; "

19 (KAT) Pretože zmäklo tvoje srdce, keď si počul tie slová, a pokoril si sa pred Pánom; keď si počul, čo som hovoril proti tomuto miestu a proti jeho obyvateľom, že bude pusté a prekliate; že si si roztrhol rúcho a plakal si predo mnou, aj ja som (ťa) vyslyšal, hovorí Pán.
19 (VUL) et perterritum est cor tuum, et humiliatus es coram Domino, auditis sermonibus contra locum istum et habitatores eius, quo videlicet fierent in stuporem et in maledictum, et scidisti vestimenta tua et flevisti coram me, et ego audivi, ait Dominus;
19 (UKJV) "Because your heart was tender, and you have humbled yourself before the LORD, when you heard what I spoke against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and have rent your clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard you, says the LORD. "

20 (UKJV) "Behold therefore, I will gather you unto your fathers, and you shall be gathered into your grave in peace; and your eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again. "
