1 (KAT) V tých dňoch Ezechiáš ochorel na smrť. I prišiel k nemu prorok Izaiáš, Amosov syn, a povedal mu: „Toto hovorí Pán: Usporiadaj si dom, lebo zomrieš a nebudeš žiť!“
1 (VUL) In diebus illis aegrotavit Ezechias usque ad mortem. Et venit ad eum Isaias filius Amos prophetes dixitque ei: “ Haec dicit Dominus: Dispone domui tuae, morieris enim et non vives ”.
1 (UKJV) "In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus says the LORD, Set your house in order; for you shall die, and not live. "

2 (KAT) Nato sa Ezechiáš obrátil tvárou k stene a modlil sa k Pánovi.
2 (VUL) Qui convertit faciem suam ad parietem et oravit Dominum dicens:
2 (UKJV) Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,

3 (VUL) “ Obsecro, Domine, memento quomodo ambulaverim coram te in veritate et in corde perfecto et, quod placitum est coram te, fecerim ”. Flevit itaque Ezechias fletu magno.
3 (UKJV) I plead to you, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

4 (KAT) Izaiáš ešte nevyšiel z prostredného nádvoria, keď ho Pán oslovil:
4 (VUL) Et antequam egrederetur Isaias mediam partem atrii, factus est sermo Domini ad eum dicens:
4 (UKJV) And it came to pass, before Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

5 (KAT) „Vráť sa a povedz Ezechiášovi, kniežaťu môjho ľudu: Toto hovorí Pán, Boh tvojho otca Dávida: Počul som tvoju modlitbu, videl som tvoje slzy; hľa, uzdravím ťa, na tretí deň pôjdeš do Pánovho chrámu.
5 (VUL) “ Revertere et dic Ezechiae duci populi mei: Haec dicit Dominus, Deus David patris tui: Audivi orationem tuam, vidi lacrimam tuam, et ecce sano te; die tertio ascendes templum Domini.
5 (UKJV) Return, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears: behold, I will heal you: on the third day you shall go up unto the house of the LORD.

6 (KAT) K tvojmu veku pridám pätnásť rokov a vyslobodím teba i toto mesto z rúk asýrskeho kráľa a budem zastávať toto mesto kvôli sebe a kvôli svojmu služobníkovi Dávidovi.“
6 (VUL) Et addam diebus tuis quindecim annos; sed et de manu regis Assyriorum liberabo te et civitatem hanc et protegam urbem istam propter me et propter David servum meum ”.
6 (UKJV) "And I will add unto your days fifteen years; and I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake. "

7 (KAT) Izaiáš povedal: „Vezmite figovú náplasť!“ Keď ju vzali a položili na vred, ožil.

8 (KAT) A Ezechiáš sa spýtal Izaiáša: „Čo bude znamením, že ma Pán uzdraví a že na tretí deň pôjdem hore do Pánovho chrámu?“
8 (VUL) Dixit autem Ezechias ad Isaiam: “ Quod erit signum quia Dominus me sanabit et quia ascensurus sum die tertio templum Domini? ”.
8 (UKJV) And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?

9 (KAT) Izaiáš odpovedal: „Toto ti bude znamením od Pána, že Pán splní, čo prisľúbil: Má ísť tôňa napred o desať stupňov, alebo sa má o desať stupňov vrátiť?“
9 (VUL) Cui ait Isaias: “ Hoc erit tibi signum a Domino quod facturus sit Dominus sermonem, quem locutus est: Vis ut accedat umbra decem gradibus, an ut revertatur totidem gradibus? ”.
9 (UKJV) And Isaiah said, This sign shall you have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

10 (KAT) Ezechiáš povedal: „Ľahko je tôni ísť napred o desať stupňov! Nie! Nech sa tôňa vráti o desať stupňov nazad!“
10 (VUL) Et ait Ezechias: “ Facile est umbram descendere decem gradibus, nec hoc volo ut fiat, sed ut revertatur retrorsum decem gradibus ”.
10 (UKJV) And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.

11 (KAT) Vtedy prorok Izaiáš volal k Pánovi a on vrátil tôňu na stupňoch, po ktorých zostúpila - na Achazových stupňoch -, o desať stupňov.
11 (VUL) Invocavit itaque Isaias propheta Dominum; et reduxit umbram per gradus, quibus iam descenderat in gradibus Achaz, retrorsum decem gradibus.
11 (UKJV) And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

12 (KAT) V tom čase poslal babylonský kráľ Merodach Baladan, syn Baladana, písmo a dary Ezechiášovi. Dopočul sa totiž, že Ezechiáš bol chorý.
12 (VUL) In tempore illo misit Merodachbaladan filius Baladan rex Babyloniorum litteras et munera ad Ezechiam; audierat enim quod aegrotasset Ezechias.
12 (UKJV) At that time Berodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.

13 (KAT) Ezechiáš sa im zaradoval a ukázal im svoju klenotnicu, striebro, zlato, voňavky, jemný olej a celú svoju zbrojnicu i všetko, čo sa nachádzalo v jeho pokladniciach. Nebolo ničoho, čo by im Ezechiáš nebol ukázal vo svojom dome a v celom svojom kráľovstve.
13 (VUL) Laetatus est autem in adventu eorum Ezechias et ostendit eis totam domum thesauri sui, argentum et aurum et aromata et oleum optimum et domum vasorum suorum et omnia, quae inventa sunt in thesauris suis: non fuit, quod non monstraret eis Ezechias in domo sua et in omni potestate sua.
13 (UKJV) And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah showed them not.

14 (KAT) Nato prišiel ku kráľovi Ezechiášovi prorok Izaiáš a povedal mu: „Čo hovorili títo mužovia a odkiaľ prišli k tebe?“ Ezechiáš odpovedal: „Z ďalekej krajiny prišli ku mne, z Babylonu.“
14 (VUL) Venit autem Isaias propheta ad regem Ezechiam dixitque ei: “ Quid dixerunt viri isti et unde venerunt ad te? ”. Cui ait Ezechias: “ De terra longinqua venerunt, de Babylone ”.
14 (UKJV) Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto you? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.

15 (KAT) Vravel: „Čo videli v tvojom dome?“ Ezechiáš odpovedal: „Videli všetko, čo je v mojom dome, niet ničoho, čo by som im nebol ukázal vo svojich pokladniciach.“
15 (VUL) At ille respondit: “ Quid viderunt in domo tua? ”. Ait Ezechias: “ Omnia, quae sunt in domo mea viderunt; nihil est, quod non monstraverim eis in thesauris meis ”.
15 (UKJV) And he said, What have they seen in your house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not showed them.

16 (KAT) Izaiáš povedal Ezechiášovi: „Čuj slovo Pánovo:
16 (VUL) Dixit itaque Isaias Ezechiae: “ Audi sermonem Domini:
16 (UKJV) And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.

17 (KAT) Hľa, prídu dni a všetko, čo je v tvojom dome, čo až do tohoto dňa nazhromaždili tvoji otcovia, odnesú do Babylonu, nič neostane, hovorí Pán.
17 (VUL) Ecce dies venient, et auferentur omnia, quae sunt in domo tua, et quae condiderunt patres tui usque in diem hanc, in Babylone; non remanebit quidquam, ait Dominus.
17 (UKJV) Behold, the days come, that all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, says the LORD.

18 (KAT) A vezmú aj z tvojich synov, ktorí budú pochádzať od teba, ktorých splodíš, a budú komorníkmi v paláci babylonského kráľa.“
18 (VUL) Sed et de filiis tuis, qui egredientur ex te, quos generabis, tollentur et erunt eunuchi in palatio regis Babylonis ”.
18 (UKJV) "And of your sons that shall issue from you, which you shall brought forth, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon. "

19 (KAT) Ezechiáš povedal Izaiášovi: „Dobré je slovo Pánovo, ktoré si hovoril.“ A ešte povedal: „Veď za mojich dní bude pokoj a istota.“
19 (VUL) Dixit Ezechias ad Isaiam: “ Bonus sermo Domini, quem locutus es ”. Et ait: “ Nonne erit pax et securitas in diebus meis? ”.
19 (UKJV) Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which you have spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?

20 (KAT) Ostatok Ezechiášových dejín, celá jeho chrabrosť a ako urobil rybník a vodovod a priviedol vodu do mesta, je opísané v Knihe letopisov júdskych kráľov.
20 (VUL) Reliqua autem gestorum Ezechiae et omnis fortitudo eius, et quomodo fecerit piscinam et aquae ductum et introduxerit aquas in civitatem, nonne haec scripta sunt in libro annalium regum Iudae?
20 (UKJV) And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

21 (KAT) Potom sa Ezechiáš uložil k svojim otcom a namiesto neho sa stal kráľom jeho syn Manasses.
21 (VUL) Dormivitque Ezechias cum patribus suis; et regnavit Manasses filius eius pro eo.
21 (UKJV) And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his position.
