1 (UKJV) Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.
1 (ROH) Potom po smrti Achabovej sprotivil sa Moáb Izraelovi.
1 (RIV) Or dopo la morte di Achab, Moab si ribellò contro Israele.

2 (UKJV) And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.
2 (ROH) A Achaziáš spadol cez mrežu na svojom hornom príbytku svojho paláca, ktorý bol v Samárii, a onemocnel. Vtedy poslal poslov a povedal im: Iďte, opýtajte sa Bál-zebúba, boha mesta Ekrona, či vyjdem z tejto svojej nemoci a budem žiť?
2 (RIV) Achazia cadde dalla cancellata della sala superiore di un suo appartamento a Samaria, e ne restò ammalato; e spedì dei messi, dicendo loro: "Andate a consultare Baal-Zebub, dio di Ekron, per sapere se mi riavrò di questa malattia".

3 (UKJV) But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that all of you go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?
3 (ROH) Ale anjel Hospodinov hovoril Eliášovi Tišbänskému: Vstaň, iď hore vústrety poslom kráľa Samárie a hovor im: Či preto, že niet Boha v Izraelovi, idete sa pýtať Bál-zebúba, boha Ekrona?
3 (RIV) Ma un angelo dell’Eterno disse ad Elia il Tishbita: "Lèvati, sali incontro ai messi del re di Samaria, e di’ loro: E’ forse perché non v’è Dio in Israele che voi andate a consultare Baal-Zebub, dio di Ekron?

4 (UKJV) Now therefore thus says the LORD, You shall not come down from that bed on which you are gone up, but shall surely die. And Elijah departed.
4 (ROH) Preto takto hovorí Hospodin: S lože, na ktorú si vyšiel, viacej nesídeš, ale istotne zomrieš. Potom odišiel Eliáš.
4 (RIV) Perciò, così dice l’Eterno: Tu non scenderai dal letto sul quale sei salito, ma per certo morrai". Ed Elia se ne andò.

5 (UKJV) And when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are all of you now turned back?
5 (ROH) A keď sa navrátili poslovia k nemu, povedal im: Prečo ste sa vrátili?
5 (RIV) I messi tornarono ad Achazia, il quale disse loro: "Perché siete tornati?"

6 (UKJV) And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, return unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus says the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that you send to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore you shall not come down from that bed on which you are gone up, but shall surely die.
6 (ROH) A oni mu odpovedali: Nejaký muž nám vyšiel hore vústrety a povedal nám: Iďte, vráťte sa ku kráľovi, ktorý vás poslal, a hovorte mu: Takto hovorí Hospodin: Či preto, že niet Boha v Izraelovi, posielaš sa pýtať Bál-zebúba, boha Ekrona? Preto s lože, na ktorú si vyšiel, viacej nesídeš, ale istotne zomrieš.
6 (RIV) E quelli risposero: "Un uomo ci è venuto incontro, e ci ha detto: Andate, tornate dal re che vi ha mandati, e ditegli: Così dice l’Eterno: E’ forse perché non v’è alcun Dio in Israele che tu mandi a consultare Baal-Zebub, dio di Ekron? Perciò, non scenderai dal letto sul quale sei salito, ma per certo morrai".

7 (UKJV) And he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words?
7 (ROH) A hovoril im: Aký je spôsob muža, ktorý vám vyšiel hore vústrety a hovoril vám tie slová?
7 (RIV) Ed Achazia chiese loro: "Com’era l’uomo che vi è venuto incontro e vi ha detto coteste parole?"

8 (UKJV) And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
8 (ROH) A oni mu povedali: Je to vlasatý človek a je opásaný koženým pásom na svojich bedrách. Vtedy povedal: To je Eliáš Tišbänský.
8 (RIV) Quelli gli risposero: "Era un uomo vestito di pelo, con una cintola di cuoio intorno ai fianchi". E Achazia disse: "E’ Elia il Tishbita!"

9 (UKJV) Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spoke unto him, You man of God, the king has said, Come down.
9 (ROH) A poslal k nemu veliteľa nad päťdesiatimi a jeho päťdesiatich, a tak išiel k nemu hore. A hľa, sedel hore na vrchu. A hovoril mu: Mužu Boží, kráľ hovoril: Sídi!
9 (RIV) Allora mandò un capitano di cinquanta uomini con la sua compagnia ad Elia; quegli salì e trovò Elia che stava seduto in cima al monte. Il capitano gli disse: "O uomo di Dio, il re dice: Scendi!"

10 (UKJV) And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume you and your fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
10 (ROH) Ale Eliáš odpovedal a hovoril veliteľovi nad päťdesiatimi: A jestli som ja muž Boží, nech sostúpi oheň s neba a strávi teba i tvojich päťdesiatich! A sostúpil oheň s neba a strávil jeho i jeho päťdesiatich.
10 (RIV) Elia rispose e disse al capitano dei cinquanta: "Se io sono un uomo di Dio, scenda del fuoco dal cielo, e consumi te e i tuoi cinquanta uomini!" E dal cielo scese del fuoco che consumò lui e i suoi cinquanta uomini.

11 (UKJV) Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus has the king said, Come down quickly.
11 (ROH) Opät poslal k nemu iného veliteľa nad päťdesiatimi i jeho päťdesiatich, ktorý odpovedajúc vravel mu: Mužu Boží, takto hovorí kráľ: Sídi rýchle!
11 (RIV) Achazia mandò di nuovo un altro capitano di cinquanta uomini con la sua compagnia, il quale si rivolse ad Elia e gli disse: "O uomo di Dio, il re dice così: Fa’ presto, scendi!;

12 (UKJV) And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume you and your fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
12 (ROH) A Eliáš odpovedal a hovoril im: Ak som ja muž Boží, nech sostúpi oheň s neba a strávi teba i tvojich päťdesiatich! A sostúpil oheň Boží s neba a strávil jeho i jeho päťdesiatich.
12 (RIV) Elia rispose e disse loro: "Se io sono un uomo di Dio, scenda del fuoco dal cielo, e consumi te e i tuoi cinquanta uomini". E dal cielo scese il fuoco di Dio che consumò lui e i suoi cinquanta.

13 (UKJV) And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray you, let my life, and the life of these fifty your servants, be precious in your sight.
13 (ROH) A zase poslal veliteľa nad päťdesiatimi, tretieho, i jeho päťdesiatich. A tak odišiel hore a prišiel ten tretí veliteľ nad päťdesiatimi a kľaknúc na svoje kolená naproti pred Eliášom prosil ho pokorne a hovoril mu: Mužu Boží, prosím, nech je drahá moja duša a duša týchto tvojich päťdesiat služobníkov v tvojich očiach!
13 (RIV) Achazia mandò di nuovo un terzo capitano di cinquanta uomini con la sua compagnia. Questo terzo capitano di cinquanta uomini salì da Elia; e, giunto presso a lui, gli si gittò davanti in ginocchio, e lo supplicò, dicendo: "O uomo di Dio, ti prego, la mia vita e la vita di questi cinquanta tuoi servi sia preziosa agli occhi tuoi!

14 (UKJV) Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in your sight.
14 (ROH) Hľa, oheň sostúpil s neba a strávil dvoch prvých veliteľov nad päťdesiatimi aj ich päťdesiatich; ale teraz nech je drahou moja duša v tvojich očiach.
14 (RIV) Ecco che del fuoco è sceso dal cielo, e ha consumato i due primi capitani di cinquanta uomini con le loro compagnie; ma ora sia la vita mia preziosa agli occhi tuoi".

15 (UKJV) And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.
15 (ROH) A anjel Hospodinov hovoril Eliášovi: Sídi s nimi, neboj sa jeho tvári. Vtedy vstal a sišiel s ním ku kráľovi.
15 (RIV) E l’angelo dell’Eterno disse ad Elia: "Scendi con lui; non aver timore di lui". Elia dunque si levò, scese col capitano, andò dal re, e gli disse:

16 (UKJV) And he said unto him, Thus says the LORD, Forasmuch as you have sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore you shall not come down off that bed on which you are gone up, but shall surely die.
16 (ROH) A hovoril mu: Takto hovorí Hospodin: Preto, že si poslal poslov pýtať sa Bál-zebúba, boha Ekrona, jako keby nebolo Boha v Izraelovi, aby si sa opýtal jeho slova, preto s lože, na ktorú si vyšiel, viacej nesídeš, ale istotne zomrieš.
16 (RIV) "Così dice l’Eterno: Poiché tu hai spediti de’ messi a consultar Baal-Zebub, dio d’Ekron, quasi che non ci fosse in Israele alcun Dio da poter consultare, perciò tu non scenderai dal letto sul quale sei salito, ma per certo morrai".

17 (UKJV) "So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his position in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son. "
17 (ROH) A tak zomrel podľa slova Hospodinovho, ktoré hovoril Eliáš, a kraľoval Jehorám miesto neho v druhom roku Jehoráma, syna Jozafatovho, judského kráľa, lebo nemal syna.
17 (RIV) E Achazia morì, secondo la parola dell’Eterno pronunziata da Elia; e Jehoram cominciò a regnare invece di lui l’anno secondo di Jehoram, figliuolo di Giosafat re di Giuda, perché Achazia non aveva figliuoli.

18 (UKJV) Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
18 (ROH) A ostatné deje Achaziášove, čo robil, či nie je to napísané v knihe letopisov kráľov Izraelových?
18 (RIV) Or il resto delle azioni compiute da Achazia sta scritto nel libro delle Cronache dei re d’Israele.
