1 (HEM) ויהי המלך שלמה מלך על כל ישראל׃
1 (UKJV) So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

2 (HEM) ואלה השרים אשר לו עזריהו בן צדוק הכהן׃
2 (UKJV) "And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest, "

3 (HEM) אליחרף ואחיה בני שישא ספרים יהושפט בן אחילוד המזכיר׃
3 (UKJV) "Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder. "

4 (HEM) ובניהו בן יהוידע על הצבא וצדוק ואביתר כהנים׃
4 (UKJV) And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

5 (HEM) ועזריהו בן נתן על הנצבים וזבוד בן נתן כהן רעה המלך׃
5 (UKJV) And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:

6 (HEM) ואחישר על הבית ואדנירם בן עבדא על המס׃
6 (UKJV) And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

7 (HEM) ולשלמה שנים עשר נצבים על כל ישראל וכלכלו את המלך ואת ביתו חדש בשנה יהיה על אחד לכלכל׃
7 (UKJV) And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

8 (HEM) ואלה שמותם בן חור בהר אפרים׃
8 (UKJV) And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

9 (HEM) בן דקר במקץ ובשעלבים ובית שמש ואילון בית חנן׃
9 (UKJV) The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan:

10 (HEM) בן חסד בארבות לו שכה וכל ארץ חפר׃
10 (UKJV) "The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher: "

11 (HEM) בן אבינדב כל נפת דאר טפת בת שלמה היתה לו לאשה׃
11 (UKJV) "The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife: "

12 (HEM) בענא בן אחילוד תענך ומגדו וכל בית שאן אשר אצל צרתנה מתחת ליזרעאל מבית שאן עד אבל מחולה עד מעבר ליקמעם׃
12 (UKJV) "Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam: "

13 (HEM) בן גבר ברמת גלעד לו חות יאיר בן מנשה אשר בגלעד לו חבל ארגב אשר בבשן ששים ערים גדלות חומה ובריח נחשת׃
13 (UKJV) "The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brazen bars: "

14 (HEM) אחינדב בן עדא מחנימה׃
14 (UKJV) Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:

15 (HEM) אחימעץ בנפתלי גם הוא לקח את בשמת בת שלמה לאשה׃
15 (UKJV) "Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife: "

16 (HEM) בענא בן חושי באשר ובעלות׃
16 (UKJV) Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:

17 (HEM) יהושפט בן פרוח ביששכר׃
17 (UKJV) Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

18 (HEM) שמעי בן אלא בבנימן׃
18 (UKJV) Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

19 (HEM) גבר בן ארי בארץ גלעד ארץ סיחון מלך האמרי ועג מלך הבשן ונציב אחד אשר בארץ׃
19 (UKJV) "Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land. "

20 (HEM) יהודה וישראל רבים כחול אשר על הים לרב אכלים ושתים ושמחים׃
20 (UKJV) Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

21 (HEM) ושלמה היה מושל בכל הממלכות מן הנהר ארץ פלשתים ועד גבול מצרים מגשים מנחה ועבדים את שלמה כל ימי חייו׃
21 (UKJV) And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22 (HEM) ויהי לחם שלמה ליום אחד שלשים כר סלת וששים כר קמח׃
22 (UKJV) And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

23 (HEM) עשרה בקר בראים ועשרים בקר רעי ומאה צאן לבד מאיל וצבי ויחמור וברברים אבוסים׃
23 (UKJV) Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.

24 (HEM) כי הוא רדה בכל עבר הנהר מתפסח ועד עזה בכל מלכי עבר הנהר ושלום היה לו מכל עבריו מסביב׃
24 (UKJV) For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

25 (HEM) וישב יהודה וישראל לבטח איש תחת גפנו ותחת תאנתו מדן ועד באר שבע כל ימי שלמה׃
25 (UKJV) And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

26 (HEM) ויהי לשלמה ארבעים אלף ארות סוסים למרכבו ושנים עשר אלף פרשים׃
26 (UKJV) And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27 (HEM) וכלכלו הנצבים האלה את המלך שלמה ואת כל הקרב אל שלחן המלך שלמה איש חדשו לא יעדרו דבר׃
27 (UKJV) And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

28 (HEM) והשערים והתבן לסוסים ולרכש יבאו אל המקום אשר יהיה שם איש כמשפטו׃
28 (UKJV) Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

29 (HEM) ויתן אלהים חכמה לשלמה ותבונה הרבה מאד ורחב לב כחול אשר על שפת הים׃
29 (UKJV) And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

30 (HEM) ותרב חכמת שלמה מחכמת כל בני קדם ומכל חכמת מצרים׃
30 (UKJV) And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31 (HEM) ויחכם מכל האדם מאיתן האזרחי והימן וכלכל ודרדע בני מחול ויהי שמו בכל הגוים סביב׃
31 (UKJV) "For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about. "

32 (HEM) וידבר שלשת אלפים משל ויהי שירו חמשה ואלף׃
32 (UKJV) And he spoke three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

33 (HEM) וידבר על העצים מן הארז אשר בלבנון ועד האזוב אשר יצא בקיר וידבר על הבהמה ועל העוף ועל הרמש ועל הדגים׃
33 (UKJV) And he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springs out of the wall: he spoke also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

34 (HEM) ויבאו מכל העמים לשמע את חכמת שלמה מאת כל מלכי הארץ אשר שמעו את חכמתו׃
34 (UKJV) And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
