1. kniha kráľov

1 (KJV) Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah.
1 (ROH) Osemnásteho roku kráľa Jeroboáma, syna Nebátovho, kraľoval Abijam nad Júdom.

2 (KJV) Three years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.
2 (ROH) Kraľoval tri roky v Jeruzaleme. A meno jeho matky bolo Maacha, dcéra Abisalomova.

3 (KJV) And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.
3 (ROH) A chodil vo všetkých hriechoch svojho otca, ktoré robil pred ním, a jeho srdce nebolo celé s Hospodinom, jeho Bohom, jako srdce Dávida, jeho otca.

4 (KJV) Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:
4 (ROH) Lež pre Dávida mu dal Hospodin, jeho Bôh, sviecu v Jeruzaleme postaviac jeho syna po ňom a spôsobiac to, aby stál Jeruzalem,

5 (KJV) Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
5 (ROH) pretože Dávid činil to, čo je spravedlivé v očiach Hospodinových, a neuchýlil sa od ničoho z toho, čo mu prikázal, po všetky dni svojho života, krome vo veci Uriáša Hetejského.

6 (KJV) And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.
6 (ROH) A bola vojna medzi Rechabeámom a medzi Jeroboámom po všetky dni jeho života.

7 (KJV) Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.
7 (ROH) A ostatné deje Abijamove a všetko, čo robil, či nie je to napísané v knihe letopisov kráľov Júdových? A bola vojna medzi Abijamom a medzi Jeroboámom.

8 (KJV) And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.
8 (ROH) A tak ľahol Abijam a ležal so svojimi otcami, a pochovali ho v meste Dávidovom, a kraľoval Aza, jeho syn, miesto neho.

9 (KJV) And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah.
9 (ROH) A v dvadsiatom roku Jeroboáma, izraelského kráľa, kraľoval Aza nad Júdom.

10 (KJV) And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.
10 (ROH) Kraľoval štyridsaťjeden rokov v Jeruzaleme. A meno jeho matky bolo Maacha, dcéra Abisalomova.

11 (KJV) And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.
11 (ROH) A Aza robil to, čo je spravedlivé v očiach Hospodinových, ako Dávid, jeho otec.

12 (KJV) And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
12 (ROH) A odpratal zasvätených smilstvu zo zeme a odstránil všetky ukydané modly, ktorých boli narobili jeho otcovia.

13 (KJV) And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.
13 (ROH) Áno, i Maachu, svoju matku, odstránil, aby nebola kráľovnou, pretože bola spravila ohavu pre háj. Ale Aza vyťal jej ohavnú modlu a spálil ju pri potoku Kidrone.

14 (KJV) But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days.
14 (ROH) No, predsa len neustúpily výšiny, iba toľko, že srdce Azovo bolo celé s Hospodinom, po všetky jeho dni.

15 (KJV) And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels.
15 (ROH) A vniesol posvätné veci svojho otca i svoje vlastné posvätné veci do domu Hospodinovho, striebro, zlato a nádoby.

16 (KJV) And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
16 (ROH) A bola vojna medzi Azom a medzi Bášom, izraelským kráľom, po všetky ich dni.

17 (KJV) And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
17 (ROH) A Báša, izraelský kráľ, odišiel hore proti Júdovi a staväl Rámu, aby nedal nikomu ani vyjsť ani vojsť k Azovi, judskému kráľovi.

18 (KJV) Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Ben-hadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
18 (ROH) Vtedy vzal Aza všetko striebro a zlato, ktoré bolo ešte pozostalo v pokladoch domu Hospodinovho, i poklady domu kráľovho, a dal ich do ruky svojich služobníkov, a tak ich poslal kráľ Aza k Ben-hadadovi, synovi Tabrimmonovmu, synovi Chezjonovmu, sýrskemu kráľovi, ktorý býval v Damašku, a odkázal mu:

19 (KJV) There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
19 (ROH) Je smluva medzi mnou a medzi tebou, medzi mojím otcom a medzi tvojím otcom. Hľa, posielam ti dar, striebro a zlato. Idi, zruš svoju smluvu s Bášom, izraelským kráľom, aby odišiel hore odo mňa.

20 (KJV) So Ben-hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of the hosts which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-beth-maachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.
20 (ROH) A Ben-hadad poslúchol kráľa Azu a poslal veliteľov svojich vojsk proti mestám Izraelovým a zbil Ijjon, Dán a Ábel-bétmaachu i celý Genezaret s celou zemou Naftaliho.

21 (KJV) And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.
21 (ROH) A stalo sa, keď to počul Báša, že prestal staväť Rámu a býval v Tirci.

22 (KJV) Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
22 (ROH) A kráľ Aza dal vyhlásiť celému Júdovi, nikto nebol vyňatý, a pobrali kamene mesta Rámy i jeho drevo, z ktorého staväl Báša, a kráľ Aza vystavil z toho Gebu Benjaminovu a Micpu.

23 (KJV) The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
23 (ROH) A všetky ostatné deje Azove a všetka jeho udatnosť a všetko, čo robil, i mestá, ktoré staväl, či nie je to všetko napísané v knihe letopisov kráľov Júdových? Len že za času svojej staroby bol nemocný na svoje nohy.

24 (KJV) And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.
24 (ROH) A tak ľahol Aza a ležal so svojimi otcami a bol pochovaný s nimi v meste Dávida, svojho otca. A kraľoval Jozafat, jeho syn, miesto neho.

25 (KJV) And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years.
25 (ROH) A Nádab, syn Jeroboámov, kraľoval nad Izraelom v druhom roku Azu, judského kráľa, a kraľoval nad Izraelom dva roky.

26 (KJV) And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
26 (ROH) A robil to, čo je zlé v očiach Hospodinových, a chodil po ceste svojho otca a jeho hriechu, ktorým spôsobil to, aby hrešil Izrael.

27 (KJV) And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.
27 (ROH) A spiknul sa proti nemu Báša, syn Achiášov, z domu Izachárovho. A Báša ho porazil v Gibbetone, ktorý patril Filištínom. Nádab totiž a celý Izrael obliehali Gibbeton;

28 (KJV) Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead.
28 (ROH) a tak ho zabil Báša v treťom roku Azu, judského kráľa, a kraľoval miesto neho.

29 (KJV) And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:
29 (ROH) A stalo sa, keď začal kraľovať, že pobil celý dom Jeroboámov; nezanechal Jeroboámovi niktorej duše, dokiaľ ho len nevyhladil podľa slova Hospodinovho, ktoré hovoril skrze svojho služobníka, Achiáša Silonského,

30 (KJV) Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.
30 (ROH) pre hriechy Jeroboámove, ktorými hrešil a ktorými spôsobil to, aby hrešil Izrael, vo svojom popudzovaní, ktorým popudzoval Hospodina, Boha Izraelovho.

31 (KJV) Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
31 (ROH) A ostatné dej Nádabove a všetko to, čo robil, či nie je to napísané v knihe letopisov kráľov Izraelových?

32 (KJV) And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
32 (ROH) A bola vojna medzi Azom a medzi Bášom, izraelským kráľom, po všetky ich dni.

33 (KJV) In the third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years.
33 (ROH) V treťom roku Azu, judského kráľa, kraľoval Báša, syn Achiášov, nad celým Izraelom v Tirci dvadsaťštyri rokov.

34 (KJV) And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
34 (ROH) A robil to, čo je zlé v očiach Hospodinových, a chodil po ceste Jeroboámovej a v jeho hriechu, ktorým spôsobil to, aby hrešil Izrael.
