(VUL - Latinský - Nova Vulgata)

1Kr 1, 1-53

1 (VUL) Et rex David senuerat habebat que aetatis plurimos dies; cum que operiretur vestibus, non calefiebat.
1 (UKJV) "Now king David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he got no heat. "

2 (VUL) Dixerunt ergo ei servi sui: “ Quaeratur domino nostro regi adulescentula virgo et stet coram rege et curam eius agat dormiatque in sinu tuo et calefaciat dominum nostrum regem ”.
2 (UKJV) Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in your bosom, that my lord the king may get heat.

3 (UKJV) So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.

4 (UKJV) And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king, and ministered to him: but the king had sexual contact with her not.

5 (VUL) Adonias autem filius Haggith elevabatur dicens: “ Ego regnabo! ”.
5 (UKJV) Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.

6 (VUL) Nec corripuit eum pater suus aliquando dicens: “ Quare hoc fecisti? ”.
6 (UKJV) "And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why have you done so? and he also was a very goodly man; and his mother bare him after Absalom. "

7 (UKJV) And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest: and they following Adonijah helped him.

8 (UKJV) But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.

9 (VUL) Immolatis ergo Adonias ovibus et vitulis et pinguibus iuxta lapidem Zoheleth, qui erat vicinus fonti Rogel, vocavit universos fratres suos filios regis et omnes viros Iudae servos regis;
9 (UKJV) And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth, which is by Enrogel, and called all his brethren the king's sons, and all the men of Judah the king's servants:

10 (VUL) Nathan autem prophetam et Banaiam et robustos quosque et Salomonem fratrem suum non vocavit.
10 (UKJV) But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he called not.

11 (UKJV) Wherefore Nathan spoke unto Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith does reign, and David our lord knows it not?

12 (VUL) Nunc ergo veni, accipe a me consilium et salva animam tuam filiique tui Salomonis.
12 (UKJV) Now therefore come, let me, I pray you, give you counsel, that you may save your own life, and the life of your son Solomon.

13 (VUL) Vade et ingredere ad regem David et dic ei: Nonne tu, domine mi rex, iurasti mihi ancillae tuae dicens: “Salomon filius tuus regnabit post me et ipse sedebit in solio meo”? Quare ergo regnat Adonias?
13 (UKJV) Go and get you in unto king David, and say unto him, Did not you, my lord, O king, swear unto your handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then does Adonijah reign?

14 (VUL) Et, adhuc ibi te loquente cum rege, ego veniam post te et complebo sermones tuos ”.
14 (UKJV) Behold, while you yet talk there with the king, I also will come in after you, and confirm your words.

15 (UKJV) "And Bathsheba went in unto the king into the chamber: and the king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite ministered unto the king. "

16 (UKJV) And Bathsheba bowed, and did reverence unto the king. And the king said, What would you?

17 (VUL) Quae respondens ait: “ Domine mi, tu iurasti per Dominum Deum tuum ancillae tuae: “Salomon filius tuus regnabit post me, et ipse sedebit in solio meo”;
17 (UKJV) And she said unto him, My lord, you sware by the LORD your God unto your handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.

18 (VUL) et ecce nunc Adonias regnat, te, domine mi rex, ignorante.
18 (UKJV) "And now, behold, Adonijah reigns; and now, my lord the king, you know it not: "

19 (UKJV) And he has slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and has called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon your servant has he not called.

20 (VUL) Verumtamen, domine mi rex, in te oculi respiciunt totius Israel, ut indices eis quis sedere debeat in solio tuo, domine mi rex, post te.
20 (UKJV) And you, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon you, that you should tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

21 (UKJV) Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders.

22 (VUL) Adhuc illa loquente cum rege, Nathan propheta venit;
22 (UKJV) And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in.

23 (VUL) et nuntiaverunt regi dicentes: “ Adest Nathan propheta ”. Cumque introisset ante conspectum regis et adorasset eum pronus in terram,
23 (UKJV) And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

24 (VUL) dixit Nathan: “ Domine mi rex, tu ergo dixisti: “Adonias regnet post me, et ipse sedeat super thronum meum”?
24 (UKJV) And Nathan said, My lord, O king, have you said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?

25 (VUL) Quia descendit hodie et immolavit boves et pinguia et arietes plurimos et vocavit universos filios regis et principes exercitus, Abiathar quoque sacerdotem; illique vescentes et bibentes coram eo dixerunt: “Vivat rex Adonias!”.
25 (UKJV) "For he is gone down this day, and has slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king's sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah. "

26 (UKJV) But me, even me your servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and your servant Solomon, has he not called.

27 (VUL) Numquid a domino meo rege exivit hoc verbum, et mihi non indicasti servo tuo quis sessurus esset super thronum domini mei regis post eum? ”.
27 (UKJV) Is this thing done by my lord the king, and you have not showed it unto your servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?

28 (VUL) Et respondit rex David dicens: “ Vocate ad me Bethsabee ”.
28 (UKJV) Then king David answered and said, Call me Bathsheba. And she came into the king's presence, and stood before the king.

29 (UKJV) And the king swore, and said, As the LORD lives, that has redeemed my soul out of all distress,

30 (VUL) quia, sicut iuravi tibi per Dominum, Deum Israel, dicens: Salomon filius tuus regnabit post me et ipse sedebit super solium meum pro me, sic faciam hodie ”.
30 (UKJV) "Even as I swore unto you by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my position; even so will I certainly do this day. "

31 (VUL) Summissoque Bethsabee in terram vultu, adoravit regem dicens: “ Vivat dominus meus rex David in aeternum! ”.
31 (UKJV) Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth, and did reverence to the king, and said, Let my lord king David live for ever.

32 (VUL) Dixit quoque rex David: “ Vocate mihi Sadoc sacerdotem et Nathan prophetam et Banaiam filium Ioiadae ”. Qui cum ingressi fuissent coram rege,
32 (UKJV) And king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.

33 (VUL) dixit ad eos: “ Tollite vobiscum servos domini vestri et imponite Salomonem filium meum, super mulam meam et ducite eum in Gihon,
33 (UKJV) The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon:

34 (VUL) et ungat eum ibi Sadoc sacerdos et Nathan propheta in regem super Israel, et canetis bucina atque dicetis: “Vivat rex Salomon!”.
34 (UKJV) And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow all of you with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon.

35 (UKJV) "Then all of you shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my position: and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah. "

36 (VUL) Et respondit Banaias filius Ioiadae regi dicens: “ Amen, sic loquatur Dominus Deus domini mei regis.
36 (UKJV) And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, Amen: the LORD God of my lord the king say so too.

37 (UKJV) As the LORD has been with my lord the king, even so be he with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David.

38 (VUL) Descendit ergo Sadoc sacerdos et Nathan propheta et Banaias filius Ioiadae et Cherethi et Phelethi, et imposuerunt Salomonem super mulam regis David et adduxerunt eum in Gihon.
38 (UKJV) So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon.

39 (UKJV) "And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon. "

40 (UKJV) And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.

41 (UKJV) And Adonijah and all the guest that were with him heard it as they had made an end of eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, Wherefore is this noise of the city being in an uproar?

42 (VUL) Adhuc illo loquente, Ionathan filius Abiathar sacerdotis venit; cui dixit Adonias: “ Ingredere, quia vir strenuus es et bona nuntians ”.
42 (UKJV) "And while he yet spoke, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came; and Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for you are a valiant man, and bring good tidings. "

43 (VUL) Responditque Ionathan Adoniae: “ Nequaquam! Dominus enim noster, rex David, regem constituit Salomonem
43 (UKJV) And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Verily our lord king David has made Solomon king.

44 (VUL) misitque cum eo Sadoc sacerdotem et Nathan prophetam et Banaiam filium Ioiadae et Cherethi et Phelethi, et imposuerunt eum super mulam regis;
44 (UKJV) And the king has sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king's mule:

45 (VUL) unxeruntque eum Sadoc sacerdos et Nathan propheta regem in Gihon. Et ascenderunt inde laetantes, et insonuit civitas; haec est vox, quam audistis.
45 (UKJV) And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This is the noise that all of you have heard.

46 (VUL) Sed et Salomon sedit super solio regni,
46 (UKJV) And also Solomon sits on the throne of the kingdom.

47 (VUL) et ingressi servi regis benedixerunt domino nostro regi David dicentes: “Amplificet Deus nomen Salomonis super nomen tuum et magnificet thronum eius super thronum tuum”. Et adoravit rex in lectulo suo.
47 (UKJV) And moreover the king's servants came to bless our lord king David, saying, God make the name of Solomon better than your name, and make his throne greater than your throne. And the king bowed himself upon the bed.

48 (UKJV) And also thus said the king, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which has given one to sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeing it.

49 (UKJV) And all the guest that were with Adonijah were afraid, and rose up, and went every man his way.

50 (UKJV) And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

51 (VUL) Et nuntiaverunt Salomoni dicentes: “ Ecce Adonias timens regem Salomonem tenuit cornua altaris dicens: “Iuret mihi hodie rex Salomon quod non interficiat servum suum gladio””.
51 (UKJV) And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah fears king Solomon: for, lo, he has caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me today that he will not slay his servant with the sword.

52 (VUL) Dixitque Salomon: “ Si fuerit vir bonus, non cadet ne unus quidem capillus eius in terram; sin autem malum inventum fuerit in eo, morietur ”.
52 (UKJV) And Solomon said, If he will show himself a worthy man, there shall not an hair of him fall to the earth: but if wickedness shall be found in him, he shall die.

53 (VUL) Misit ergo rex Salomon et eduxit eum ab altari, et ingressus adoravit regem Salomonem; dixitque ei Salomon: “ Vade in domum tuam ”.
53 (UKJV) So king Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him, Go to your house.
