(CPDV - Anglický - Catholic PD)

1Kr 1, 1-53

1 (CPDV) Now king David had become elderly, and he had many days in his lifetime. And though he was covered with clothes, he was not warmed.
1 (ROH) A kráľ Dávid bol starý a sošlý vekom, a hoci ho prikrývali rúchom, nezohrial sa.

2 (CPDV) Therefore, his servants said to him: “Let us seek, for our lord the king, a young virgin. And let her stand before the king, and warm him, and sleep in his bosom, and provide warmth for our lord the king.”
2 (ROH) Preto mu povedali jeho služobníci: Nech pohľadajú môjmu pánu kráľovi devu pannu, ktorá by stála pred kráľom a opatrovala ho, a bude ležať v tvojom lone, a tak bude môjmu pánu kráľovi teplo.

3 (CPDV) And so they sought a beautiful young woman in all the parts of Israel. And they found Abishag, a Shunammite, and they led her to the king.
3 (ROH) A tak hľadali krásnu devu po všetkých krajoch Izraelových a našli Abizagu Sunamitskú a doviedli ju ku kráľovi.

4 (CPDV) Now the girl was exceedingly beautiful. And she slept with the king, and she ministered to him. Yet truly, the king did not know her.
4 (ROH) A deva bola náramne krásna a opatrovala kráľa a posluhovala mu, ale kráľ jej nepoznal.

5 (CPDV) Then Adonijah, the son of Haggith, exalted himself, saying, “I shall reign!” And he appointed for himself chariots and horsemen, with fifty men who would run before him.
5 (ROH) A Adoniáš, syn Chaggity, sa pozdvihoval a vravel: Ja budem kraľovať! A zadovážil si vozy a jazdcov a päťdesiatich mužov, ktorí behali pred ním.

6 (CPDV) Neither did his father chastise him at any time, saying, “Why have you done this?” Now he, too, was very beautiful, the second in birth, after Absalom.

7 (CPDV) And he conferred with Joab, the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar, the priest, who gave assistance to the side of Adonijah.
7 (ROH) A mal dohovor s Joábom, synom Ceruje, a s Ebiatárom, kňazom. A pomáhali za Adoniášom.

8 (CPDV) Yet truly, Zadok, the priest, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan, the prophet, and Shimei and Rei, and the mature men of the army of David were not with Adonijah.
8 (ROH) Ale Cádok, kňaz, a Benaiáš, syn Jehojadov, a prorok Nátan a Šimei a Rei a iní hrdinovia, ktorých mal Dávid, neboli s Adoniášom.

9 (CPDV) Then Adonijah, having immolated rams and calves and every kind of fat cattle beside the Stone of the Serpent, which was in the vicinity of the fountain Rogel, summoned all his brothers, the sons of the king, and all the men of Judah, the servants of the king.
9 (ROH) A Adoniáš nabil oviec a volov a iného tučného dobytka pri kameni Zochelet, ktorý je vedľa studne Rogel, a povolal všetkých svojich bratov, synov kráľových, i všetkých mužov Júdových, služobníkov kráľových.

10 (CPDV) But he did not summon Nathan, the prophet, and Benaiah, and all the mature men, and Solomon, his brother.
10 (ROH) Ale proroka Nátana a Benaiáša a hrdinov ani Šalamúna, svojho brata, nepovolal.

11 (CPDV) And so Nathan said to Bathsheba, the mother of Solomon: “Have you not heard that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, has begun to reign, and that our lord David is ignorant of this?
11 (ROH) Vtedy povedal Nátan Bat-šebe, matke Šalamúnovej, a riekol: Či si nepočula, že kraľuje Adoniáš, syn Chaggity? A náš pán Dávid nevie o tom.

12 (CPDV) Now then, come, accept my counsel, and save your life and the life of your son Solomon.
12 (ROH) Preto teraz poď, prosím, nech ti dám radu, a zachráň, svoj život i život svojho syna, Šalamúna.

13 (CPDV) Go and enter to king David, and say to him: ‘Did you not, my lord the king, swear to me, your handmaid, saying: “Your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he himself shall sit on my throne?” Then why does Adonijah reign?’
13 (ROH) Iď a vojdi ku kráľovi Dávidovi a povieš mu: Či si ty, môj pán kráľ, neprisahal svojej služobnici povediac: Šalamún, tvoj syn, bude kraľovať po mne, cele iste, a on bude sedieť na mojom tróne? Nuž prečože kraľuje Adoniáš?

14 (CPDV) And while you are still speaking with the king there, I will enter after you, and I will complete your words.”
14 (ROH) A hľa, kým ty tam budeš ešte hovoriť s kráľom, vojdem ja za tebou a doplním tvoje slová.

15 (CPDV) And so Bathsheba entered to the king in the bedroom. Now the king was very old, and Abishag, the Shunammite, was ministering to him.
15 (ROH) A tak vošla Bat-šeba ku kráľovi do izby. A kráľ už bol veľmi starý, a Abizaga Sunamitská posluhovala kráľovi.

16 (CPDV) Bathsheba bowed herself, and she reverenced the king. And the king said to her, “What do you wish?”
16 (ROH) A Bat-šeba sa zohla a poklonila sa kráľovi. A kráľ povedal: Čo chceš?

17 (CPDV) And responding, she said: “My lord, you swore to your handmaid, by the Lord your God: ‘your son Solomon will reign after me, and he himself shall sit upon my throne.’
17 (ROH) A riekla mu: Môj pane, ty si prisahal svojej služobnici na Hospodina, svojho Boha, povediac: Šalamún, tvoj syn, bude kraľovať po mne, cele iste, a on bude sedieť na mojom tróne.

18 (CPDV) And now behold, Adonijah reigns, while you, my lord the king, are ignorant of it.
18 (ROH) A teraz hľa, Adoniáš kraľuje, a teraz ty, môj pán kráľ, nevieš o tom.

19 (CPDV) He has slain oxen, and every kind of fattened cattle, and many rams. And he has summoned all the sons of the king, as well as Abiathar, the priest, and Joab, the leader of the military. But Solomon, your servant, he did not summon.
19 (ROH) Nabil volov a vytučeného statku a drobného dobytka množstvo a povolal všetkých synov kráľových aj Ebiatára, kňaza, i Joába, veliteľa vojska, ale Šalamúna, tvojho služobníka, nepovolal.

20 (CPDV) Truly now, my lord the king, the eyes of all of Israel look with favor upon you, that you may indicate to them who ought to sit upon your throne, my lord the king, after you.

21 (CPDV) Otherwise, this will be: when my lord the king sleeps with his fathers, I and my son Solomon will be as sinners.”
21 (ROH) Lebo ináče stane sa, keď raz bude ležať môj pán kráľ so svojimi otcami, že ja i môj syn Šalamún budeme hriešnikmi

22 (CPDV) And while she was still speaking with the king, Nathan, the prophet, arrived.
22 (ROH) A hľa, kým ona ešte hovorila s kráľom, prišiel prorok Nátan.

23 (CPDV) And they announced to the king, saying, “Nathan, the prophet, is here.” And when he had entered in the sight of the king, and he had reverenced prone on the ground,
23 (ROH) A oznámili kráľovi a riekli: Hľa, prorok Nátan!

24 (CPDV) Nathan said: “My lord the king, did you say, ‘Let Adonijah reign after me, and let him sit upon my throne?’
24 (ROH) A Nátan povedal: Môj pán kráľ, či si ty povedal: Adoniáš bude kraľovať po mne a on bude sedieť na mojom tróne?

25 (CPDV) For today, he descended, and he immolated oxen, and fattened cattle, and many rams. And he summoned all the sons of the king, and the leaders of the army, along with Abiathar, the priest. And they are eating and drinking before him, and saying, ‘As king Adonijah lives.’
25 (ROH) Lebo dnes odišiel dolu a nabil volov a tučného statku a drobného dobytka množstvo a povolal všetkých synov kráľových i veliteľov vojska i Ebiatára, kňaza, a hľa, jedia a pijú pred ním a hovoria: Nech žije kráľ Adoniáš!

26 (CPDV) But he did not summon me, your servant, and Zadok, the priest, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and Solomon, your lowly servant.
26 (ROH) Ale mňa, tvojho služobníka, ani Cádoka, kňaza, ani Benaiáša, syna Jehojadovho, ani Šalamúna, tvojho služobníka, nepovolal.

27 (CPDV) Could this word have gone out from my lord the king, and could you not have revealed it to me, your servant, as to who would be seated upon the throne of my lord the king after him?”

28 (CPDV) And king David responded, saying, “Summon to me Bathsheba.” And when she had entered before the king, and she had stood before him,
28 (ROH) A kráľ Dávid odpovedal a riekol: Zavolajte mi Bat-šebu! A vojdúc pred kráľa stála pred kráľom.

29 (CPDV) the king swore and said: “As the Lord lives, who has rescued my soul from all distress,
29 (ROH) A kráľ prisahal a riekol: Ako že žije Hospodin, ktorý vyslobodil moju dušu zo všetkých úzkostí,

30 (CPDV) just as I swore to you by the Lord God of Israel, saying: ‘Your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he himself shall sit upon my throne in my place,’ so shall I do this day.”

31 (CPDV) And Bathsheba, having lowered her face to the ground, reverenced the king, saying, “May my lord David live forever.”

32 (CPDV) And king David said, “Summon to me Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada.” And when they had entered before the king,
32 (ROH) A kráľ Dávid povedal: Zavolajte mi Cádoka, kňaza, a Nátana, proroka, a Benaiáša, syna Jehojadovho! A prišli pred kráľa.

33 (CPDV) he said to them: “Take with you the servants of your lord, and place my son Solomon upon my mule. And lead him to Gihon.
33 (ROH) Vtedy im povedal kráľ: Vezmite so sebou služobníkov svojho pána a vysaďte Šalamúna, môjho syna, na moju mulicu a zaveďte ho dolu do Gichona.

34 (CPDV) And let Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, anoint him in that place as the king over Israel. And you shall sound the trumpet, and you shall say, ‘As king Solomon lives.’
34 (ROH) A tam ho pomaže Cádok, kňaz, a Nátan, prorok, za kráľa nad Izraelom, a zatrúbite na trúbu a poviete: Nech žije kráľ Šalamún!

35 (CPDV) And you shall ascend after him, and he shall arrive and shall sit upon my throne. And he himself shall reign in my place. And I will command that he be the ruler over Israel and over Judah.”
35 (ROH) Potom pojdete za ním sem hore, a prijde a sadne na môj trón a on bude kraľovať miesto mňa, a jemu som prikázal, aby bol vodcom nad Izraelom i nad Júdom.

36 (CPDV) And Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, responded to the king, saying: “Amen. So says the Lord, the God of my lord the king.
36 (ROH) A Benaiáš, syn Jehojadov, odpovedal kráľovi a riekol: Ameň! Tak nech povie i Hospodin, Bôh môjho pána kráľa!

37 (CPDV) In the same way that the Lord has been with my lord the king, so may he be with Solomon. And may he make his throne more sublime than the throne of my lord, king David.”

38 (CPDV) Then Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, descended, with Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and Pelethites. And they placed Solomon on the mule of king David, and they led him to Gihon.
38 (ROH) A tak odišiel dolu Cádok, kňaz, a Nátan, prorok, a Benaiáš, syn Jehojadov, a Keréťania a Peléťania a vysadili Šalamúna na mulicu kráľa Dávida a zaviedli ho na rovinu Gichon.

39 (CPDV) And Zadok, the priest, took the horn of oil from the tabernacle, and he anointed Solomon. And they sounded the trumpet. And all the people said, “As king Solomon lives.”
39 (ROH) A Cádok, kňaz, vzal roh na olej zo stánu Božieho, pomazal Šalamúna, a zatrúbili na trúbu, a riekli, všetok ľud: Nech žije kráľ Šalamún!

40 (CPDV) And the entire multitude ascended after him. And the people were playing on pipes, and rejoicing with great joy. And the earth resounded before the noise of them.

41 (CPDV) Then Adonijah, and all who had been summoned by him, heard it. And now the feast had ended. Then, too, Joab, hearing the voice of the trumpet, said, “What is the meaning of this clamor from the tumultuous city?”
41 (ROH) A počul to Adoniáš i všetci povolaní, ktorí boli s ním, keď boli práve dojedli. A keď počul Joáb zvuk trúby, povedal: Prečo ten zvuk mesta búrlivý?

42 (CPDV) While he was 184 still speaking, Jonathan, the son of Abiathar the priest, arrived. And Adonijah said to him, “Enter, for you are a valiant man, and you report good news.”
42 (ROH) No, kým on ešte hovoril, tu hľa, prišiel Jonatán, syn Ebiatára, kňaza. A Adoniáš mu povedal: Vojdi, lebo si chrabrý muž a nesieš dobrú zvesť.

43 (CPDV) And Jonathan answered Adonijah: “By no means. For our lord king David has appointed Solomon as king.
43 (ROH) A Jonatán odpovedal a riekol Adoniášovi: Áno, ale náš pán kráľ Dávid ustanovil za kráľa Šalamúna.

44 (CPDV) And he has sent with him Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and Pelethites. And they have placed him on the mule of the king.
44 (ROH) A kráľ poslal s ním Cádoka, kňaza, a Nátana, proroka, a Benaiáša, syna Jehojadovho, a Keréťanov a Peléťanov, a vysadili ho na mulicu kráľovu.

45 (CPDV) And Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, have anointed him king, at Gihon. And they are ascending from there, rejoicing, and so the city resounds. This is the noise that you have heard.

46 (CPDV) But also, Solomon sits upon the throne of the kingdom.

47 (CPDV) And the servants of the king, entering, have blessed our lord king David, saying: ‘May God amplify the name of Solomon above your name, and may he magnify his throne above your throne.’ And the king reverenced from his bed.
47 (ROH) Áno, aj služobníci kráľovi prišli, aby dobrorečili nášmu pánu kráľovi Dávidovi a riekli: Nech učiní tvoj Bôh meno Šalamúnovo ešte lepším než tvoje meno a nech zvelebí jeho trón nad to, jako bol zvelebený tvoj trón! A kráľ sa poklonil na posteli.

48 (CPDV) And he said: ‘Blessed is the Lord, the God of Israel, who today has bestowed someone to sit upon my throne, while my eyes may see it.’ ”

49 (CPDV) Therefore, all those who had been summoned by Adonijah were terrified. And they all rose up, and each one went his own way.
49 (ROH) Vtedy sa predesili a vstali všetci pozvaní, ktorí boli za Adoniáša, a išli každý svojou cestou.

50 (CPDV) Then Adonijah, fearing Solomon, rose up and went away. And he took hold of the horn of the altar.
50 (ROH) A Adoniáš bojac sa Šalamúna vstal a odišiel a chytil sa rohov oltára.

51 (CPDV) And they reported to Solomon, saying: “Behold, Adonijah, fearing king Solomon, has taken hold of the horn of the altar, saying: ‘May king Solomon swear to me this day that he will not put to death his servant with the sword.’ ”
51 (ROH) A oznámili Šalamúnovi a riekli: Hľa, Adoniáš sa bojí kráľa Šalamúna a hľa, drží sa rohov oltára a hovorí: Nech mi prisahá dnes kráľ Šalamún, že nezabije svojho služobníka mečom.

52 (CPDV) And Solomon said: “If he is a good man, not so much as one hair of his head shall fall to the ground. But if evil is found in him, he shall die.”

53 (CPDV) Therefore, king Solomon sent and brought him from the altar. And entering, he reverenced king Solomon. And Solomon said to him, “Go to your own house.”
53 (ROH) Potom poslal kráľ Šalamún, aby ho doviedli od oltára dolu. A keď prišiel, poklonil sa kráľovi Šalamúnovi. A Šalamún mu povedal: Idi do svojho domu.

And it crosses the waters that are called the Fountain of the Sun. And its exit shall be at the Fountain of Rogel.

2Sam 15:1 - Then, after these things, Absalom obtained for himself chariots, and horsemen, and fifty men who went before him.

Verš 6
Neither did his father chastise him at any time, saying, “Why have you done this?” Now he, too, was very beautiful, the second in birth, after Absalom.

1Kr 2:28 - And the news came to Joab, for Joab had turned aside after Adonijah, and he had not turned aside after Solomon. And so, Joab fled into the tabernacle of the Lord, and he took hold of the horn of the altar.
