1 (CPDV) Then David again gathered together all the elect men of Israel, thirty thousand.
1 (ROH) A Dávid zase shromaždil všetkých vybraných v Izraelovi, tridsať tisíc.

2 (CPDV) And David arose and went away, with the entire people who were with him from the men of Judah, so that they might lead back the ark of God, over which is invoked the name of the Lord of hosts, who sits upon the cherubim above it.
2 (ROH) Potom sa zobral Dávid a išiel i všetok ľud, ktorý bol s ním, z Baaléjúdu, aby doniesli odtiaľ truhlu Božiu hore, nad ktorou sa vzýva Meno, meno Hospodina Zástupov, ktorý tróni na cherubínoch.

3 (CPDV) And they placed the ark of God on a new cart. And they took it from the house of Abinadab, who was in Gibeon. And Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
3 (ROH) A vyložiac truhlu Božiu na nový voz vzali ju z domu Abinadába, ktorý bol v Gibei. A Uza a Achio, synovia Abinadábovi, poháňali nový voz.

4 (CPDV) And when they had taken it from the house of Abinadab, who was in Gibeon, Ahio preceded the ark as the keeper of the ark of God.
4 (ROH) Tedy vzali ju z domu Abinadábovho, ktorý bol v Gibei, a tak išli s truhlou Božou, a Achio išiel pred truhlou.

5 (CPDV) But David and all of Israel played before the Lord on every kind of musical instrument made of wood, and on harps, and lyres, and 170 timbrels, and bells, and cymbals.
5 (ROH) A Dávid a celý dom Izraelov veseliac sa hrali pred Hospodinom na všelijaký hudobný nástroj z jedľového dreva, na citary, na harfy, na bubny, na husle a na cymbaly.

6 (CPDV) And after they had arrived at the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah extended his hand to the ark of God, and he touched it, because the oxen were kicking and had caused it to tip.
6 (ROH) A tak prišli až po humno Náchonovo. A tu vystrel Uza ruku po truhle Božej a zachytil ju, pretože voly vybočily z cesty.

7 (CPDV) And the indignation of the Lord was enraged against Uzzah. And he struck him for his temerity. And there he died, beside the ark of God.
7 (ROH) Preto sa rozhneval Hospodin na Uzu, a Bôh ho tam zabil pre to pochybenie, a zomrel tam pri truhle Božej.

8 (CPDV) Then David was saddened because the Lord had struck Uzzah. And the name of that place was called: the Striking of Uzzah, even to this day.
8 (ROH) Vtedy sa nahneval Dávid pre to, že Hospodin učinil takú trhlinu na Uzovi zabijúc ho. A pomenoval to miesto Perec-uza , a tak sa volá až do tohoto dňa.

9 (CPDV) And David was very fearful of the Lord on that day, saying, “How shall the ark of the Lord be brought to me?”
9 (ROH) A Dávid sa bál Hospodina toho dňa a povedal: Ako prijde ku mne truhla Hospodinova?!

10 (CPDV) And he was not willing to send the ark of the Lord to himself in the city of David. Instead, he sent it into the house of Obededom, the Gittite.
10 (ROH) Preto nechcel Dávid dopraviť truhlu Hospodinovu k sebe, hore do mesta Dávidovho. Ale Dávid urobil to, aby sa uhla do domu Obed-edoma Gitťanského.

11 (CPDV) And the ark of the Lord dwelt in the house of Obededom the Gittite, for three months. And the Lord blessed Obededom, and all his household.
11 (ROH) A tak bývala truhla Hospodinova v dome Obed-edoma Gitťanského tri mesiace. A Hospodin požehnal Obed-edoma i celý jeho dom.

12 (CPDV) And it was reported to king David that the Lord had blessed Obededom, and all that was his, because of the ark of God. Therefore, David went and brought the ark of God, from the house of Obededom, into the city of David with joy. And there were with David seven choirs, and calves for victims.
12 (ROH) Potom oznámili kráľovi Dávidovi, že vraj Hospodin požehnal dom Obed-edoma i všetko, čo má, pre truhlu Božiu. Vtedy išiel Dávid a dopravil truhlu Božiu z domu Obed-edoma hore do mesta Dávidovho s radosťou.

13 (CPDV) And when those who were carrying the ark of the Lord had traveled six steps, he immolated an ox and a ram.
13 (ROH) A bolo tak, že keď pokročili tí, ktorí niesli truhlu Hospodinovu, šesť krokov, obetoval vola a tučný kus dobytka.

14 (CPDV) And David danced with all his ability before the Lord. And David was girded with the linen ephod.
14 (ROH) A Dávid točiac sa vyskakoval z celej sily pred Hospodinom. A Dávid bol opásaný ľanovým efodom.

15 (CPDV) And David, and all the house of Israel, were leading the ark of the testament of the Lord, with jubilation and the sound of the trumpet.
15 (ROH) A tak Dávid a celý dom Izraelov niesli truhlu Hospodinovu hore s radostným pokrikovaním a so zvukom trúby.

16 (CPDV) And when the ark of the Lord had entered into the city of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looking out through a window, saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord. And she despised him in her heart.
16 (ROH) A stalo sa, keď vchádzala truhla Hospodinova do mesta Dávidovho, že Míchaľ, dcéra Saulova, hľadela z okna. A keď videla kráľa Dávida, že poskakuje a točiac sa vyskakuje pred Hospodinom, pohŕdla ním vo svojom srdci.

17 (CPDV) And they led in the ark of the Lord. And they set it in its place in the middle of the tabernacle, which David had pitched for it. And David offered holocausts and peace offerings in the sight of the Lord.
17 (ROH) A keď doniesli truhlu Hospodinovu, postavili ju na jej miesto, naprostred stánu, ktorý jej bol postavil Dávid. A Dávid obetoval zápalné obeti pred Hospodinom i pokojné obeti.

18 (CPDV) And when he had completed offering holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.
18 (ROH) A keď doobetoval Dávid zápalnú obeť i pokojné obeti, požehnal ľud v mene Hospodina Zástupov.

19 (CPDV) And he distributed to the entire multitude of Israel, as much to men as to women, to each one: one loaf of bread, and one piece of roasted beef, and fine wheat flour fried with oil. And all the people went away, each one to his own house.
19 (ROH) A nadelil všetkému ľudu, všetkému množstvu Izraelovmu, od muža až po ženu, každému jeden bochník chleba, jeden kus pečeného mäsa a jeden kus hroznového koláča. A tak odišiel všetok ľud, každý do svojho domu.

20 (CPDV) And David returned, so that he might bless his own house. And Michal, the daughter of Saul, going out to meet David, said: “How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself before the handmaids of his servants, and being unclothed, as if one of the performers were unclothed.”
20 (ROH) Potom sa navrátil Dávid, aby požehnal svoj dom. A tu vyšla Míchaľ, dcéra Saulova, oproti Dávidovi a povedala: Oj, aký slávny bol dnes kráľ Izraelov, ktorý sa odkrýval dnes pred očami dievok svojich služobníkov tak, ako sa odkrývava niektorý z prázdnych ľudí ľahkomyseľných.

21 (CPDV) And David said to Michal: “Before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father, and rather than his entire house, and who commanded me, that I should be the leader over the people of the Lord in Israel,
21 (ROH) Na to riekol Dávid Míchali: Pred Hospodinom, ktorý si ma vyvolil nad tvojho otca a nad celý jeho dom a prikázal mi, aby som bol vojvodom nad ľudom Hospodinovým, nad Izraelom, plesal som a budem plesať pred Hospodinom,

22 (CPDV) I will both play and demean myself, more so than I have done. And I will be little in my own eyes. And with the handmaids, about whom you are speaking, I will appear more glorious.”
22 (ROH) a budem ochotne ešte opovrženejším ako to a budem nízky vo svojich očiach; a u tých dievok, o ktorých si hovorila, práve u tých budem oslávený.

23 (CPDV) And so, there was no child born to Michal, the daughter of Saul, even to the day of her death.
23 (ROH) Preto potom Míchaľ, dcéra Saulova, nemala plodu až do dňa svojej smrti.
