Biblia - Sväté písmo

(KJV - Anglický - King James)

2Sam 5, 1-25

1 (KJV) Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
1 (ROH) Potom prišly všetky pokolenia Izraelove k Dávidovi do Hebrona a riekly: Hľa, my sme tvoja kosť a tvoje telo.

2 (KJV) Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.
2 (ROH) Už dávno, ešte keď bol Saul kráľom nad nami, ty si vyvodil a dovodil Izraela. A okrem toho ti riekol Hospodin: Ty budeš pásť môj ľud, Izraela, a ty budeš vojvodom nad Izraelom.

3 (KJV) So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
3 (ROH) A tak prišli všetci starší Izraelovi ku kráľovi do Hebrona, a kráľ Dávid učinil s nimi smluvu v Hebrone pred Hospodinom, a potom pomazali Dávida za kráľa nad Izraelom.

4 (KJV) David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
4 (ROH) Tridsať rokov mal Dávid, keď začal kraľovať, a kraľoval štyridsať rokov.

5 (KJV) In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.
5 (ROH) V Hebrone kraľoval nad Júdom sedem rokov a šesť mesiacov a v Jeruzaleme kraľoval tridsaťtri rokov nad celým Izraelom i nad Júdom.

6 (KJV) And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.
6 (ROH) A kráľ i jeho mužovia odišli do Jeruzalema proti Jebuzejovi, ktorý obýval tú zem a ktorý povedal Dávidovi: Nevojdeš sem, iba ak odstrániš slepých a krivých. Lebo vraveli vo svojej ubezpečenosti: Nevojde Dávid sem.

7 (KJV) Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.
7 (ROH) Ale Dávid zaujal hrad Sion. To je mesto Dávidovo.

8 (KJV) And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind, that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.
8 (ROH) A Dávid riekol toho dňa: Ktokoľvek zabije niektorého Jebuzeja, srúti ho do výmoliny, aj tých krivých a slepých, ktorých nenávidí duša Dávidova. Preto hovoria: Slepý a krivý nevojde do domu.

9 (KJV) So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.
9 (ROH) Potom býval Dávid na tom hrade a nazval ho mestom Dávidovým. A Dávid ho vystavil dokola od Millo až do vnútra.

10 (KJV) And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.
10 (ROH) A Dávid vše prospieval a bol väčším a väčším, a Hospodin, Bôh Zástupov, bol s ním.

11 (KJV) And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David an house.
11 (ROH) A Chíram, kráľ Týru, poslal poslov k Dávidovi a poslal mu aj cedrové drevo i tesárov a kameniarov murovať, a vystavili Dávidovi dom.

12 (KJV) And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.

13 (KJV) And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.
13 (ROH) A Dávid si vzal ešte viaceré ženiny i ženy z Jeruzalema, odkedy bol prišiel z Hebrona, a tedy ešte sa narodili Dávidovi viacerí synovia a viaceré dcéry.

14 (KJV) And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,

15 (KJV) Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
15 (ROH) a Jibchár, Elišua, Nefeg a Jafia,

16 (KJV) And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.
16 (ROH) a Elíšama, Eliada a Elípalet.

17 (KJV) But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
17 (ROH) A keď počuli Filištíni, že pomazali Dávida za kráľa nad Izraelom, vyšli hore všetci Filištíni hľadať Dávida. A Dávid počujúc o tom sišiel do hradu.

18 (KJV) The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
18 (ROH) A Filištíni prišli a rozložili sa v doline Refaim.

19 (KJV) And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
19 (ROH) Vtedy sa pýtal Dávid Hospodina a povedal: Či mám ísť hore proti Filištínom, či ich vydáš do mojej ruky? A Hospodin riekol Dávidovi: Iď, lebo cele iste dám Filištínov do tvojej ruky.

20 (KJV) And David came to Baal-perazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baal-perazim.
20 (ROH) A tak prišiel Dávid do Bálperacíma a tam ich porazil Dávid a povedal: Hospodin pretrhol mojich nepriateľov predo mnou, jako keď voda pretrhne breh. Preto nazval meno toho miesta Bál-peracím .

21 (KJV) And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.
21 (ROH) A zanechali tam svoje rytiny, a pobral ich Dávid a jeho mužovia.

22 (KJV) And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
22 (ROH) A ešte znova vyšli Filištíni hore a rozložili sa v doline Refaim.

23 (KJV) And when David inquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
23 (ROH) A keď sa pýtal Dávid Hospodina, riekol: Nepojdeš hore.

24 (KJV) And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.
24 (ROH) A bude, keď počuješ šust krokov po vrcholoch moruší, vtedy sa ponáhľaj, lebo vtedy vyšiel Hospodin pred tebou, aby uderil na tábor Filištínov.

25 (KJV) And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.

2Sam 5,11 - Hiram I., kráľ Týru, hlavného mesta Fenície, panoval r. 979–946 pr. Kr. Dávid zomrel asi v r. 971. Svoj dom staval teda len v posledných rokoch svojho panovania, v niektorý z rokov 979–971.
