2Sam 3, 1-39

1 (CPDV) Then a long struggle occurred between the house of Saul and the house of David, with David prospering and growing ever stronger, but the house of Saul decreasing daily.
1 (ROH) A vojna trvala dlho medzi domom Saulovým a medzi domom Dávidovým. Ale Dávid mocnel vše viac a viac, a dom Saulov slabnul viac a viac.

2 (CPDV) And sons were born to David in Hebron. And his firstborn son was Amnon, from Ahinoam the Jezreelite.

3 (CPDV) And after him, there was Chileab, from Abigail, the wife of Nabal of Carmel. Then the third was Absalom, the son of Maacah, the daughter of Talmai, the king of Geshur.
3 (ROH) a jeho druhý bol Kileáb, syn Abigaili, predtým ženy Nábala Karmelského; tretí bol Absalom, syn Maachy, dcéry Talmaja, kráľa Gešúra;

4 (CPDV) Then the fourth was Adonijah, the son of Haggith. And the fifth was Shephatiah, the son of Abital.
4 (ROH) štvrtý bol Adoniáš, syn Chaggity, piaty Šefatiáš, syn Abitály,

5 (CPDV) Also, the sixth was Ithream, from Eglah, the wife of David. These were born to David at Hebron.
5 (ROH) a šiesty bol Jitream, syn Egly, ženy Dávidovej. Tí sa narodili Dávidovi v Hebrone.

6 (CPDV) Then, while there was a battle between the house of Saul and the house of David, Abner, the son of Ner, was reigning over the house of Saul.

7 (CPDV) Now Saul had a concubine named Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah. And Ishbosheth said to Abner,
7 (ROH) Ale Saul mal ženinu, ktorej bolo meno Ricpa, dcéra Ajju. A Iš-bóšet povedal Abnerovi: Prečo si vošiel k ženine môjho otca?

8 (CPDV) “Why did you enter to the concubine of my father?” But he, being exceedingly angry at the words of Ishbosheth, said: “Am I the head of a dog against Judah this day? I have shown mercy to the house of Saul, your father, and to his brothers and friends. And I have not delivered you into the hands of David. And yet today you have sought me, so that you might rebuke me over a woman?

9 (CPDV) May God do these things to Abner, and may he add these other things, if, in the same way that the Lord swore to David, I do not do so with him:
9 (ROH) Tak nech učiní Bôh Abnerovi a tak nech pridá, že jako prisahal Hospodin Dávidovi, tak mu aj istotne urobím,

10 (CPDV) that the kingdom be transferred from the house of Saul, and that the throne of David be elevated over Israel and over Judah, from Dan to Beersheba.”
10 (ROH) aby preniesol kráľovstvo preč od domu Saulovho a aby postavil trón Dávidov nad Izraelom a nad Júdom od Dána až po Bér-šebu.

11 (CPDV) And he was not able to respond anything to him, because he was in fear of him.
11 (ROH) A nemohol viacej odpovedať Abnerovi ani slova, pretože sa ho bál.

12 (CPDV) Therefore, Abner sent messengers to David for himself, saying, “Whose is the land?” and so that they would say, “Make a friendship with me, and my hand will be with you, and I will lead back all of Israel to you.”
12 (ROH) A Abner poslal poslov k Dávidovi hneď na mieste s odkazom: Komuže patrí zem? A tiež aby povedali: Učiň so mnou svoju smluvu, a hľa, moja ruka bude s tebou, aby som obrátil k tebe celého Izraela.

13 (CPDV) And he said: “It is best. I will make a friendship with you. But one thing I ask of you, saying: You shall not see my face before you bring Michal, the daughter of Saul. And in this way, you shall come, and see me.”
13 (ROH) A Dávid odpovedal: Dobre, ja učiním s tebou smluvu, len jednu vec žiadam od teba, a to, aby si neuvidel mojej tvári, krome ak prv dovedieš Míchaľ, dcéru Saulovu, keď prijdeš, aby si videl moju tvár.

14 (CPDV) Then David sent messengers to Ishbosheth, the son of Saul, saying, “Restore my wife Michal, whom I espoused to myself for one hundred foreskins of the Philistines.”
14 (ROH) A Dávid poslal poslov k Iš-bóšetovi, synovi Saulovmu, aby mu riekli: Daj mi moju ženu Míchaľ, ktorú som si zasnúbil za sto neobriezok Filištínov.

15 (CPDV) Therefore, Ishbosheth sent and took her from her husband Paltiel, the son of Laish.
15 (ROH) A Iš-bóšet poslal a vzal ju od muža, od Paltiela, syna Laišovho.

16 (CPDV) And her husband was following her, weeping, as far as Bahurim. And Abner said to him, “Go and return.” And he returned.

17 (CPDV) Likewise, Abner sent word to the elders of Israel, saying: “As much yesterday as the day before, you were seeking David, so that he might reign over you.
17 (ROH) A Abner hovoril so staršími Izraelovými a riekol: Už dávno hľadáte Dávida, aby bol kráľom nad vami.

18 (CPDV) Therefore, accomplish it now. For the Lord has spoken to David, saying: ‘By the hand of my servant David, I will save my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines and of all their enemies.’ ”

19 (CPDV) Then Abner also spoke to Benjamin. And he went away, so that he might speak to David in Hebron all that would be pleasing to Israel and to all of Benjamin.

20 (CPDV) And he went to David in Hebron with twenty men. And David made a feast for Abner, and for his men who had arrived with him.
20 (ROH) Tak prišiel Abner k Dávidovi do Hebrona a s ním dvadsať mužov. A Dávid učinil Abnerovi a mužom, ktorí boli s ním, hostinu.

21 (CPDV) And Abner said to David, “I will rise up, so that I may gather all of Israel to you, my lord the king, and so that I may enter into a pact with you, and so that you may reign over all, just as your soul desires.” Then, when David had led Abner away, and he had departed in peace,
21 (ROH) A Abner povedal Dávidovi: Vstanem a pojdem a shromaždím k svojmu pánovi kráľovi celého Izraela, a učinia s tebou smluvu, a budeš kraľovať nad všetkým, čo si žiada tvoja duša. A tak prepustil Dávid Abnera, a odišiel v pokoji.

22 (CPDV) immediately the servants of David and of Joab arrived, after having slain robbers, with exceedingly great spoils. But Abner was not with David in Hebron. For by then he had sent him away, and he had set out in peace.
22 (ROH) A tu hľa, hneď za tým prišli služobníci Dávidovi, i Joáb prišiel, od porážky lupičov, a dopravili so sebou veľkú korisť. Ale Abnera už nebolo s Dávidom v Hebrone, lebo ho prepustil, a odišiel v pokoji.

23 (CPDV) And Joab, and the entire army that was with him, had arrived afterward. And so, it was reported to Joab, explaining that Abner, the son of Ner, went to the king, and he dismissed him, and he went away in peace.
23 (ROH) A tedy Joáb i všetko vojsko, ktoré bolo s ním, prišli. A oznámili Joábovi a riekli: Prišiel Abner, syn Nérov, ku kráľovi, a prepustil ho, a odišiel v pokoji.

24 (CPDV) And Joab entered to the king, and he said: “What have you done? Behold, Abner came to you. Why did you dismiss him, so that he has gone and departed?
24 (ROH) Potom prišiel Joáb ku kráľovi a povedal: Čo si to urobil? Hľa, prišiel k tebe Abner, prečo si ho prepustil, aby zase odišiel?

25 (CPDV) Do you not know, about Abner, the son of Ner, that he came to you for this, so that he might deceive you, and might know of your departure and your return, and so that he might know all that you do?”
25 (ROH) Veď znáš Abnera, syna Nérovho. Lebo prišiel na to, aby ťa podviedol a aby zvedel tvoje vychádzanie a tvoje vchádzanie ako aj aby zvedel všetko, čo robíš.

26 (CPDV) And so, Joab, going out from David, sent messengers after Abner, and he brought him back from the cistern of Sirah, without David knowing.

27 (CPDV) And when Abner had returned to Hebron, Joab took him alone to the middle of the gate, so that he might speak to him, but with deceit. And there, he stabbed him in the groin, and he died, in revenge for the blood of Asahel, his brother.
27 (ROH) A keď sa navrátil Abner do Hebrona, zaviedol ho Joáb do ústrania, doprostred brány, aby s ním potajme hovoril, a tam ho uderil do brucha, a zomrel, za krv Azaela, jeho brata.

28 (CPDV) And when David had heard of it, now that the matter was done, he said: “I and my kingdom are clean before the Lord, even forever, of the blood of Abner, the son of Ner.
28 (ROH) Keď to potom počul Dávid, riekol: Bez viny som i ja i moje kráľovstvo pred Hospodinom až na veky na krvi Abnera, syna Nérovho.

29 (CPDV) And may it fall upon the head of Joab, and upon the entire house of his father. And may there not fail to be, in the house of Joab, one who suffers from a flow of seed, or one who is leprous, or one who is effeminate, or one who falls by the sword, or one who is in need of bread.”

30 (CPDV) And so, Joab and his brother Abishai killed Abner, because he had killed their brother Asahel at Gibeon, during the battle.

31 (CPDV) Then David said to Joab, and to all the people who were with him, “Tear your garments, and gird yourselves with sackcloth, and mourn before the funeral procession of Abner.” Moreover, king David himself was following the casket.

32 (CPDV) And when they had buried Abner in Hebron, king David lifted up his voice, and he wept over the burial mound of Abner. And all the people also wept.
32 (ROH) A tak pochovali Abnera v Hebrone. A kráľ pozdvihol svoj hlas a plakal nad hrobom Abnerovým a plakal i všetok ľud.

33 (CPDV) And the king, mourning and lamenting Abner, said: “By no means has Abner died the way that cowards usually die.

34 (CPDV) Your hands are not bound, and your feet are not weighed down with fetters. But just as men often fall before the sons of iniquity, so you have fallen.” And while repeating this, all the people wept over him.
34 (ROH) Tvoje ruky neboly poviazané, a tvoje nohy neboly sovrené medenými putami.

35 (CPDV) And when the entire multitude had arrived to take food with David, while it was still broad daylight, David swore, saying, “May God do these things to me, and may he add these other things, if I taste bread or anything else before the sun sets.”
35 (ROH) A keď potom prišiel všetok ľud, aby dali Dávidovi pokrm, kým ešte bol deň, prisahal Dávid povediac: Nech mi tak učiní Bôh a tak nech pridá, jestli prv, ako zajde slnce, okúsim chleba, alebo nech už by to bolo čokoľvek.

36 (CPDV) And all the people heard it, and everything that the king did in the sight of the entire people was pleasing to them.
36 (ROH) A poznal to všetok ľud, a ľúbilo sa mu to, jako i všetko, čo učinil kráľ, ľúbilo sa všetkému ľudu.

37 (CPDV) And every common person, and all of Israel, realized on that day that the killing of Abner, the son of Ner, had not been done by the king.
37 (ROH) A tak poznal všetok ľud i celý Izrael toho dňa, že to nebolo od kráľa, aby zabili Abnera, syna Nérovho.

38 (CPDV) The king also said to his servants: “Could you be ignorant that a leader and a very great man has fallen today in Israel?
38 (ROH) A kráľ povedal svojim služobníkom: Či neviete, že knieža a velikán padol tohoto dňa v Izraelovi?

39 (CPDV) But I am still tender, and yet anointed king. And these men of the sons of Zeruiah are too harsh for me. May the Lord repay whoever does evil in accord with his malice.” 169
39 (ROH) A ja som dnes ešte slabý, hoci som pomazaný kráľ, a títo mužovia, synovia Ceruje, sú mi priťažkí a pritvrdí. Hospodin nech odplatí tomu, kto robí zlé, podľa jeho zlosti.

2Sam 3, 1-39

Verš 27
And when Abner had returned to Hebron, Joab took him alone to the middle of the gate, so that he might speak to him, but with deceit. And there, he stabbed him in the groin, and he died, in revenge for the blood of Asahel, his brother.
1Kr 2:5 - Also, you know what Joab, the son of Zeruiah, has done to me, what he did to the two leaders of the army of Israel, to Abner, the son of Ner, and to Amasa, the son of Jether. He killed them, and so he shed the blood of war in peace time, and he set the bloodshed of battle on his belt, which was around his waist, and in his shoes, which were on his feet.
2Sam 2:23 - But he disdained to heed him, and he was not willing to turn aside. Therefore, turning, Abner struck him with his spear in the groin, and he pierced him through, and he died in the same place. And all those who would pass by the place, in which Asahel had fallen and died, would stand still.

Verš 2
And sons were born to David in Hebron. And his firstborn son was Amnon, from Ahinoam the Jezreelite.
1Krn 3:1 - Truly, David had these sons, who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelite; the second Daniel, from Abigail the Carmelite;

Verš 15
Therefore, Ishbosheth sent and took her from her husband Paltiel, the son of Laish.
1Sam 25:44 - Then Saul gave his daughter Michal, the wife of David, to Palti, the son of Laish, who was from Gallim.

Verš 14
Then David sent messengers to Ishbosheth, the son of Saul, saying, “Restore my wife Michal, whom I espoused to myself for one hundred foreskins of the Philistines.”
1Sam 18:25 - Then Saul said, “Speak in this way to David: The king does not have need of any dowry, but only one hundred foreskins from the Philistine men, so that he may be vindicated from the enemies of the king.” So did Saul think to deliver David into the hands of the Philistines.
1Sam 18:27 - And after a few days, David, rising up, went with the men who were under him, and he struck down two hundred men of the Philistines. And he brought their foreskins, and he counted them out for the king, so that he might be his son-in-law. And so, Saul gave to him his daughter Michal as wife.

Verš 7
Now Saul had a concubine named Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah. And Ishbosheth said to Abner,
2Sam 21:8 - And so the king took the two sons of Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah, whom she bore to Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth, and the five sons of Michal, the daughter of Saul, whom she conceived of Adriel, the son of Barzillai, who was from Meholath,
2Sam 21:10 - Then Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah, taking a haircloth, spread it under herself on a rock, from the beginning of the harvest until water dropped from heaven upon them. And she did not permit the birds to tear them by day, nor the beasts by night.

– Slovo "júdsky" chýba v LXX a treba ho pravdepodobne vynechať. Bez neho je zmysel hladší. "Som ja psohlavec? Podnes preukazujem lásku…"

2Sam 3,10 - Výraz: "Od Danu až po Bersabe" pozri v pozn. k 1 Sam 3,20.

2Sam 3,12 - Abner chce povedať: "Krajina by síce mala patriť tebe, ale 11 kmeňov drží v skutočnosti so mnou, preto bude dobre, keď sa so mnou pokonáš."

2Sam 3,14 - Porov. 1 Sam 18,25.

2Sam 3,15 - Porov. 1 Sam 25,44.
