2. kniha Samuelova

1 (HEM) ואלה דברי דוד האחרנים נאם דוד בן ישי ונאם הגבר הקם על משיח אלהי יעקב ונעים זמרות ישראל׃
1 (UKJV) Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

2 (HEM) רוח יהוה דבר בי ומלתו על לשוני׃
2 (UKJV) The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and his word was in my tongue.

3 (HEM) אמר אלהי ישראל לי דבר צור ישראל מושל באדם צדיק מושל יראת אלהים׃
3 (UKJV) The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, He that rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

4 (HEM) וכאור בקר יזרח שמש בקר לא עבות מנגה ממטר דשא מארץ׃
4 (UKJV) "And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain. "

5 (HEM) כי לא כן ביתי עם אל כי ברית עולם שם לי ערוכה בכל ושמרה כי כל ישעי וכל חפץ כי לא יצמיח׃
5 (UKJV) "Although my house be not so with God; yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow. "

6 (HEM) ובליעל כקוץ מנד כלהם כי לא ביד יקחו׃
6 (UKJV) But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:

7 (HEM) ואיש יגע בהם ימלא ברזל ועץ חנית ובאש שרוף ישרפו בשבת׃
7 (UKJV) "But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place. "

8 (HEM) אלה שמות הגברים אשר לדוד ישב בשבת תחכמני ראש השלשי הוא עדינו העצנו על שמנה מאות חלל בפעם אחד׃
8 (UKJV) "These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at the same. "

9 (HEM) ואחרו אלעזר בן דדי בן אחחי בשלשה גברים עם דוד בחרפם בפלשתים נאספו שם למלחמה ויעלו איש ישראל׃
9 (UKJV) And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:

10 (HEM) הוא קם ויך בפלשתים עד כי יגעה ידו ותדבק ידו אל החרב ויעש יהוה תשועה גדולה ביום ההוא והעם ישבו אחריו אך לפשט׃
10 (UKJV) "He arose, and stroke the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil. "

11 (HEM) ואחריו שמא בן אגא הררי ויאספו פלשתים לחיה ותהי שם חלקת השדה מלאה עדשים והעם נס מפני פלשתים׃
11 (UKJV) And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentils: and the people fled from the Philistines.

12 (HEM) ויתיצב בתוך החלקה ויצילה ויך את פלשתים ויעש יהוה תשועה גדולה׃
12 (UKJV) But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.

13 (HEM) וירדו שלשים מהשלשים ראש ויבאו אל קציר אל דוד אל מערת עדלם וחית פלשתים חנה בעמק רפאים׃
13 (UKJV) And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.

14 (HEM) ודוד אז במצודה ומצב פלשתים אז בית לחם׃
14 (UKJV) And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.

15 (HEM) ויתאוה דוד ויאמר מי ישקני מים מבאר בית לחם אשר בשער׃
15 (UKJV) And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!

16 (HEM) ויבקעו שלשת הגברים במחנה פלשתים וישאבו מים מבאר בית לחם אשר בשער וישאו ויבאו אל דוד ולא אבה לשתותם ויסך אתם ליהוה׃
16 (UKJV) And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.

17 (HEM) ויאמר חלילה לי יהוה מעשתי זאת הדם האנשים ההלכים בנפשותם ולא אבה לשתותם אלה עשו שלשת הגברים׃
17 (UKJV) And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

18 (HEM) ואבישי אחי יואב בן צרויה הוא ראש השלשי והוא עורר את חניתו על שלש מאות חלל ולו שם בשלשה׃
18 (UKJV) And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.

19 (HEM) מן השלשה הכי נכבד ויהי להם לשר ועד השלשה לא בא׃
19 (UKJV) Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: nevertheless he attained not unto the first three.

20 (HEM) ובניהו בן יהוידע בן איש חי רב פעלים מקבצאל הוא הכה את שני אראל מואב והוא ירד והכה את האריה בתוך הבאר ביום השלג׃
20 (UKJV) And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:

21 (HEM) והוא הכה את איש מצרי אשר מראה וביד המצרי חנית וירד אליו בשבט ויגזל את החנית מיד המצרי ויהרגהו בחניתו׃
21 (UKJV) "And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear. "

22 (HEM) אלה עשה בניהו בן יהוידע ולו שם בשלשה הגברים׃
22 (UKJV) These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.

23 (HEM) מן השלשים נכבד ואל השלשה לא בא וישמהו דוד אל משמעתו׃
23 (UKJV) He was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.

24 (HEM) עשה אל אחי יואב בשלשים אלחנן בן דדו בית לחם׃
24 (UKJV) "Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem, "

25 (HEM) שמה החרדי אליקא החרדי׃
25 (UKJV) Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

26 (HEM) חלץ הפלטי עירא בן עקש התקועי׃
26 (UKJV) Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,

27 (HEM) אביעזר הענתתי מבני החשתי׃
27 (UKJV) Abiezer the Anethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

28 (HEM) צלמון האחחי מהרי הנטפתי׃
28 (UKJV) Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,

29 (HEM) חלב בן בענה הנטפתי אתי בן ריבי מגבעת בני בנימן׃
29 (UKJV) Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai out of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,

30 (HEM) בניהו פרעתני הדי מנחלי געש׃
30 (UKJV) Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,

31 (HEM) אבי עלבון הערבתי עזמות הברחמי׃
31 (UKJV) Abialbon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,

32 (HEM) אליחבא השעלבני בני ישן יהונתן׃
32 (UKJV) Eliahba the Shaalbonite, of the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,

33 (HEM) שמה ההררי אחיאם בן שרר האררי׃
33 (UKJV) Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Hararite,

34 (HEM) אליפלט בן אחסבי בן המעכתי אליעם בן אחיתפל הגלני׃
34 (UKJV) Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maachathite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

35 (HEM) חצרו הכרמלי פערי הארבי׃
35 (UKJV) Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,

36 (HEM) יגאל בן נתן מצבה בני הגדי׃
36 (UKJV) Igal the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,

37 (HEM) צלק העמני נחרי הבארתי נשאי כלי יואב בן צריה׃
37 (UKJV) Zelek the Ammonite, Nahari the Beerothite, armour bearer to Joab the son of Zeruiah,

38 (HEM) עירא היתרי גרב היתרי׃
38 (UKJV) Ira an Ithrite, Gareb an Ithrite,

39 (HEM) אוריה החתי כל שלשים ושבעה׃
39 (UKJV) Uriah the Hittite: thirty and seven in all.
