2. kniha Samuelova

1 (CPDV) And David spoke to the Lord the words of this verse, in the day that the Lord freed him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.
1 (ROH) A Dávid hovoril Hospodinovi slová tejto piesne v deň, v ktorý ho vytrhnul Hospodin z ruky všetkých jeho nepriateľov i z ruky Saula,

2 (CPDV) And he said: “The Lord is my rock, and my strength, 181 and my Savior.
2 (ROH) a riekol: Hospodin je mojou skalou a mojím hradom a je mi mojím vysloboditeľom,

3 (CPDV) I will hope in him. God is my strong one, my shield, and the horn of my salvation. He lifts me up, and he is my refreshment. You, O my Savior, will free me from iniquity.
3 (ROH) je Bohom mojej skaly, ku ktorému sa utiekam, mojím štítom, rohom môjho spasenia mojou vysokou pevnosťou a mojím útočišťom. Môj Spasiteľu, zachraňuješ ma od ukrutnosti.

4 (CPDV) I will call upon the Lord, who is praiseworthy; and I will be saved from my enemies.
4 (ROH) Na veleslávneho som volal Hospodina, a bol som zachránený od svojich nepriateľov.

5 (CPDV) For the pangs of death have encircled me. The torrents of Belial have terrified me.
5 (ROH) Lebo ma boly obkľúčily vlnobitia smrti; potoky beliála ma boly predesily;

6 (CPDV) The ropes of Hell have encompassed me. The snares of death have intercepted me.
6 (ROH) povrazy ríše mŕtvych ma boly obňaly; boly ma nadišly osídla smrti.

7 (CPDV) In my tribulation, I will call upon the Lord, and I will cry out to my God. And he will heed my voice from his temple, and my outcry will reach his ears.
7 (ROH) Vo svojej úzkosti som vzýval Hospodina a volal som na svojho Boha. Uslyšal môj hlas zo svojho chrámu, a moje volanie o pomoc prišlo do jeho uší.

8 (CPDV) The earth was shaken, and it quaked. The foundations of the mountains were struck together and violently shaken, because he was angry with them.
8 (ROH) Vtedy sa pohla a zatriasla zem; základy nebies sa chvely od strachu a pohybovaly sa, lebo horel hnevom.

9 (CPDV) Smoke ascends from his nostrils, and fire from his mouth will devour; coals have been kindled by it.
9 (ROH) Dym vystupoval jeho nozdrami, a oheň z jeho úst trávil, takže sa uhlie zanietilo od neho.

10 (CPDV) He bent down the heavens, and it descended; and a fog was beneath his feet.
10 (ROH) Naklonil nebesia a sostúpil, a mrákava bola pod jeho nohami;

11 (CPDV) And he climbed upon the cherubim, and he flew; and he slid upon the wings of the wind.
11 (ROH) vysadol na cheruba a letel a ukázal sa na krýdlach vetra.

12 (CPDV) He set darkness as a hiding place around himself, with waters sifted from the clouds of the heavens.
12 (ROH) Postavil tmu vôkol seba jako nejaké stány, hromadu vôd, husté oblaky vysoké.

13 (CPDV) By means of the brightness of his glance, coals of fire were kindled.
13 (ROH) Od blesku pred ním roznietilo sa uhlie ohňa.

14 (CPDV) The Lord will thunder from heaven; and the Most High will utter his voice.
14 (ROH) Hospodin hrmel z nebies, a Najvyšší vydal svoj hlas.

15 (CPDV) He shot arrows, and he scattered them; lightning, and he consumed them.
15 (ROH) Poslal svoje strely a rozohnal ich, blesk hromu, a podesil ich.

16 (CPDV) And the overflow of the sea appeared, and the foundations of the globe were revealed, at the rebuke of the Lord, at the exhale of the breath of his fury.
16 (ROH) A ukázaly sa riečištia mora; odkryly sa základy okruhu sveta, pre žehranie Hospodinovo, od dychu ducha jeho nozdier.

17 (CPDV) He sent from on high, and he took me up. And he drew me out of many waters.
17 (ROH) Vystrel rameno z výsosti, pochytil ma, vytiahol ma z velikých vôd.

18 (CPDV) He freed me from my most powerful enemy and from those who had hated me. For they were too strong for me.
18 (ROH) Vytrhol ma z moci môjho silného nepriateľa, z moci tých, ktorí ma nenávideli, lebo boli mocnejší ako ja.

19 (CPDV) He went before me in the day of my affliction, and the Lord became my firmament.
19 (ROH) Prišli na mňa v deň môjho nešťastia, ale Hospodin mi bol oporou

20 (CPDV) And he led me out to a wide-open place. He freed me, because I was pleasing to him.
20 (ROH) a vyviedol ma na priestranstvo, vytrhol ma, lebo má vo mne záľubu.

21 (CPDV) The Lord will reward me according to my justice. And he will repay me according to the cleanness of my hands.
21 (ROH) Hospodin mi odplatil podľa mojej spravedlivosti, vrátil mi podľa čistoty mojich rúk.

22 (CPDV) For I have kept to the ways of the Lord, and I have not acted impiously before my God.
22 (ROH) Lebo som ostríhal cesty Hospodinove a nedopustil som sa tej bezbožnosti, aby som bol odišiel od svojho Boha.

23 (CPDV) For all his judgments are in my sight. And I have not removed his precepts from me.
23 (ROH) Lebo všetky jeho súdy sú predo mnou, ani som neuhnul od niktorého z jeho ustanovení.

24 (CPDV) And I shall be perfect with him. And I shall guard myself from my own iniquity.
24 (ROH) A bol som mu bez úhony a vystríhal som sa svojej neprávosti.

25 (CPDV) And the Lord will recompense me according to my justice, and according to the cleanness of my hands in the sight of his eyes.
25 (ROH) A tak mi zaplatil Hospodin podľa mojej spravedlivosti, podľa mojej čistoty pred jeho očima.

26 (CPDV) With the holy one, you will be holy, and with the strong one, you will be perfect.
26 (ROH) So zbožným si zbožný; s udatným bezúhonným si bezúhonný;

27 (CPDV) With the elect one, you will be elect, and with the perverse one, you will be perverse.
27 (ROH) s čistým si čistý, a s premršteným si prevrátený.

28 (CPDV) And you will bring to salvation the poor people, and you will humble the exalted with your eyes.
28 (ROH) A pokorný ľud strápený zachrániš; ale tvoje oči hľadia na vysokomyseľných, aby si ich ponížil.

29 (CPDV) For you are my lamp, O Lord. And you, O Lord, will illuminate my darkness.
29 (ROH) Lebo ty si mojou sviecou Hospodine. A Hospodin jasne osvecuje moju tmu.

30 (CPDV) For in you, I will run girded. In my God, I will leap over the wall.
30 (ROH) Lebo v tebe som prebehnul vojskom. Vo svojom Bohu som preskočil múr.

31 (CPDV) God, his way is immaculate; the eloquence of the Lord is an exacting fire. He is the shield of all who hope in him.
31 (ROH) Cesta silného Boha je bezúhonná. Reč Hospodinova je čistá a dokázaná sťa zlato v ohni. On je štítom všetkým, ktorí sa utiekajú k nemu.

32 (CPDV) Who is God except the Lord? And who is strong except our God?
32 (ROH) Lebo kde kto je silným Bohom krome Hospodina, a kto je skalou mimo nášho Boha?!

33 (CPDV) God, he has girded me with fortitude, and he has made my way perfect:
33 (ROH) Silný Bôh je mojou pevnosťou a silou. Úprimného vodí svojou cestou.

34 (CPDV) making my feet like the feet of the stag, and stationing me upon my exalted places,
34 (ROH) Robí jeho nohy podobnými nohám jelenice, a postavuje ma na mojich výšinách.

35 (CPDV) teaching my hands to do battle, and making my arms like a bow of brass.
35 (ROH) Moje ruky učí boju; a moje ramená lámu aj oceľové lučište.

36 (CPDV) You have given me the shield of your salvation. And your mildness has multiplied me.
36 (ROH) Dal si mi štít svojho spasenia, a tvoja blahosklonnosť ma zveličuje.

37 (CPDV) You will enlarge my steps under me, and my ankles will not fail.
37 (ROH) Rozšíril si podo mnou môj krok, a moje členky sa nehly.

38 (CPDV) I will pursue my enemies, and crush them. And I will not turn back, until I consume them.
38 (ROH) Honil som svojich nepriateľov a zahladil som ich ani som sa nevrátil, až som im urobil koniec.

39 (CPDV) I will consume them and break them apart, so that they cannot rise up; they will fall under my feet.
39 (ROH) Docela som ich zničil a porazil som ich tak, že nepovstanú, a padli pod moje nohy.

40 (CPDV) You have girded me with strength for the battle. Those who resisted me, you have bent down under me.
40 (ROH) Prepasovával si ma silou do boja; zohol si podo mňa tých, ktorí povstávali proti mne.

41 (CPDV) You have caused my enemies to turn their back to me; they have hatred for me, and I shall destroy them.
41 (ROH) Mojich nepriateľov si mi dal, aby som im stupil na šiju, tých, ktorí ma nenávideli, aby som ich vyplienil.

42 (CPDV) They will cry out, and there will be no one to save; to the Lord, and he will not heed them.
42 (ROH) Obzerali sa, ale nebolo spomocníka; volali k Hospodinovi, ale sa im neozval.

43 (CPDV) I will wipe them away like the dust of the earth. I will break them apart and crush them, like the mud of the streets.
43 (ROH) Rozdrvil som ich tak, že boli jako prach zeme, zdeptal som ich ako blato ulice a rozšliapal som ich.

44 (CPDV) You will save me from the contradictions of my people. You will preserve me to be the head of the Gentiles; a people I do not know shall serve me.
44 (ROH) Vyslobodil si ma zo svárov môjho ľudu, strážil si ma, aby som bol hlavou národom; ľud, ktorého som neznal, mi slúži.

45 (CPDV) The sons of foreigners, who will resist me, at the hearing of the ear they will be obedient to me.
45 (ROH) Synovia cudzieho národa sa mi lichotne koria. Len čo počuli chýr o mne, poslúchajú ma.

46 (CPDV) The foreigners flowed away, but they will be drawn together in their anguishes.
46 (ROH) Synovia cudzieho národa vädnú strachom a trasúci sa prichádzajú zo svojich miest zavrených.

47 (CPDV) The Lord lives, and my God is blessed. And the strong God of my salvation shall be exalted.
47 (ROH) Žije Hospodin, a nech je požehnaná moja skala, a nech je vyvýšený Bôh skaly môjho spasenia!

48 (CPDV) God gives me vindication, and he casts down the peoples under me.
48 (ROH) Silný Bôh je to, ktorý mi dáva pomstu a podmaňuje národy podo mňa;

49 (CPDV) He leads me away from my enemies, and he lifts me up from those who resist me. You will free me from the iniquitous man.
49 (ROH) vyvodí ma z moci mojich nepriateľov. A povyšuješ ma nad tých, ktorí povstávajú proti mne. Vytrhol si ma, znova a znova, z moci ukrutného človeka.

50 (CPDV) Because of this, I will confess to you, O Lord, among the Gentiles, and I will sing to your name:
50 (ROH) Preto ťa budem chváliť, ó, Hospodine, medzi národami, a tvojmu menu budem spievať žalmy.

51 (CPDV) magnifying the salvation of his king, and showing mercy to David, his Christ, and to his offspring forever.”
51 (ROH) Dáva veľké spasenie svojmu kráľovi a činí milosť svojmu pomazanému, Dávidovi, a jeho semenu, až na veky.
