(KAT - Katolícky preklad)

2Sam 20, 1-26

1 (KAT) Náhodou tam bol naničhodný človek, Bochriho syn, Benjamínec menom Seba. Ten zatrúbil na trúbe a volal: „Nemáme podielu na Dávidovi a nemáme čiastku na synovi Izaiho. Každý do svojho stanu, Izrael!“
1 (UKJV) And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.

2 (VUL) Et separatus est omnis vir Israel a David secutusque est Seba filium Bochri; viri autem Iudae adhaeserunt regi suo a Iordane usque Ierusalem.
2 (UKJV) So every man of Israel went up from after David, and followed Sheba the son of Bichri: but the men of Judah clave unto their king, from Jordan even to Jerusalem.

3 (KAT) Keď kráľ Dávid došiel domov do Jeruzalema, vzal desať vedľajších žien, ktoré zanechal strážiť dom, a dal ich do väzenia.
3 (UKJV) "And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood. "

4 (KAT) Potom kráľ povedal Amasovi: „Zvolaj mi Júdovcov! Tri dni a buď tu!“
4 (VUL) Dixit autem rex Amasae: “ Convoca mihi omnes viros Iudae in diem tertium et tu adesto praesens ”.
4 (UKJV) Then said the king to Amasa, Assemble me the men of Judah within three days, and be you here present.

5 (UKJV) So Amasa went to assemble the men of Judah: but he tarried longer than the set time which he had appointed him.

6 (KAT) Vtedy povedal Dávid Abisaimu: „Teraz nám Bochriho syn Seba spôsobí väčšie nešťastie ako Absolón. Preto si vezmi sluhov svojho pána a prenasleduj ho, ináč si nájde opevnené mestá a unikne našim očiam.“
6 (UKJV) And David said to Abishai, Now shall Sheba the son of Bichri do us more harm than did Absalom: take you your lord's servants, and pursue after him, lest he get him fenced cities, and escape us.

7 (KAT) I vyrazili za ním Joabovi mužovia, Kereťania a Feleťania a všetci hrdinovia. Vytiahli z Jeruzalema prenasledovať Bochriho syna Sebu.
7 (UKJV) And there went out after him Joab's men, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and all the mighty men: and they went out of Jerusalem, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.

8 (VUL) Cumque illi essent iuxta lapidem grandem, qui est in Gabaon, Amasa venerat ante eos. Porro Ioab accinctus erat habitu suo, et in cingulo super lumbos gladius absconditus erat, qui levi motu ex vagina in manum suam cecidit.
8 (UKJV) "When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa went before them. And Joab's garment that he had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle with a sword fastened upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as he went forth it fell out. "

9 (KAT) Vtedy Joab povedal Amasovi: „Vedie sa ti dobre, brat?“ Pritom Joab pravou rukou chytil Amasovu bradu, aby ho pobozkal.
9 (VUL) Dixitque Ioab ad Amasam: “ Estne pax tibi, mi frater? ”.
9 (UKJV) And Joab said to Amasa, Are you in health, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard with the right hand to kiss him.

10 (KAT) Ale Amasa si nevšimol meč, ktorý mal Joab v ruke, a vrazil mu ho do brucha, takže mu vylial vnútornosti na zem a ten zomrel. Ani mu úder nezopakoval a zomrel. Potom Joab a jeho brat Abisai prenasledovali Bochriho syna Sebu.
10 (UKJV) "But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's hand: so he stroke him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri. "

11 (KAT) Jeden z Joabových mužov ostal pri ňom stáť a volal: „Kto má rád Joaba a kto patrí Dávidovi: Za Joabom!“
11 (UKJV) And one of Joab's men stood by him, and said, He that favours Joab, and he that is for David, let him go after Joab.

12 (UKJV) And Amasa wallowed in blood in the midst of the highway. And when the man saw that all the people stood still, he removed Amasa out of the highway into the field, and cast a cloth upon him, when he saw that every one that came by him stood still.

13 (UKJV) When he was removed out of the highway, all the people went on after Joab, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.

14 (KAT) On prešiel cez všetky izraelské kmene do Abel-Bet-Maáchy a všetci Bochriti sa zhromaždili a išli za ním.
14 (UKJV) And he went through all the tribes of Israel unto Abel, and to Bethmaachah, and all the Berites: and they were gathered together, and went also after him.

15 (KAT) I prišli a obliehali ho v Abel-Bet-Maáche; zdvihli proti mestu násyp.
15 (UKJV) And they came and besieged him in Abel of Bethmaachah, and they cast up a bank against the city, and it stood in the trench: and all the people that were with Joab battered the wall, to throw it down.

16 (KAT) Vtedy akási múdra žena volala z mesta: „Čujte, čujte! Povedzte Joabovi: »Pristúp sem, chcem sa s tebou zhovárať!«“
16 (VUL) Et exclamavit mulier sapiens de civitate: “ Audite, audite! Dicite Ioab: “Appropinqua huc, et loquar tecum” ”.
16 (UKJV) "Then cried a wise woman out of the city, Hear, hear; say, I pray you, unto Joab, Come near here, that I may speak with you. "

17 (KAT) I priblížil sa k nej a žena sa spýtala: „Ty si Joab?“ Odpovedal: „Ja.“ I povedala mu: „Počuj slová svojej služobnice!“ Odpovedal: „Počúvam.“
17 (UKJV) And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Are you Joab? And he answered, I am he. Then she said unto him, Hear the words of your handmaid. And he answered, I do hear.

18 (VUL) Rursumque illa: “ Sermo, inquit, dicebatur in vetere proverbio: “Interrogent in Abel, et sic perficient rem”.
18 (UKJV) Then she spoke, saying, They were known to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter.

19 (KAT) Či nie ja dávam pravdivú odpoveď v Izraeli? Ty chceš zabiť mesto a matku v Izraeli! Prečo chceš znivočiť Pánovo dedičstvo?“
19 (VUL) Ego pacifica fidelium Israel, et tu quaeris subruere civitatem et evertere matrem in Israel. Quare praecipitas hereditatem Domini? ”.
19 (UKJV) I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: you seek to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why will you swallow up the inheritance of the LORD?

20 (KAT) Joab odpovedal: „Ani zďaleka! Nijako nechcem zničiť, nechcem zahubiť.
20 (VUL) Respondensque Ioab ait: “ Absit, absit hoc a me; non praecipito neque demolior.
20 (UKJV) And Joab answered and said, Far be it, far be it from me, that I should swallow up or destroy.

21 (UKJV) The matter is not so: but a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, has lifted up his hand against the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to you over the wall.

22 (UKJV) Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom. And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and cast it out to Joab. And he blew a trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the king.

23 (KAT) Joab bol nad celým izraelským vojskom. Jojadov syn Banaiáš bol nad Kereťanmi a Feleťanmi.
23 (VUL) Erat ergo Ioab super omnem exercitum Israel; Banaias autem filius Ioiadae super Cherethaeos et Phelethaeos;
23 (UKJV) Now Joab was over all the host of Israel: and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and over the Pelethites:

24 (KAT) Aduram bol nad robotami, Ahiludov syn Jozafat bol kancelárom,
24 (VUL) Adoniram vero super onera; porro Iosaphat filius Ahilud a commentariis.
24 (UKJV) And Adoram was over the tribute: and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder:

25 (KAT) Siva bol pisárom, Sadok a Abiatar boli kňazmi.
25 (VUL) Siva autem scriba, Sadoc vero et Abiathar sacerdotes;
25 (UKJV) And Sheva was scribe: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

26 (KAT) Aj Jairovec Ira bol kňazom pri Dávidovi.
26 (VUL) Hira quoque Iairites erat sacerdos David.
26 (UKJV) And Ira also the Jairite was a chief ruler about David.

2Sam 20, 1-26

Ani mu úder nezopakoval a zomrel. Potom Joab a jeho brat Abisai prenasledovali Bochriho syna Sebu.
1Kr 2:5 - Potom vieš sám, čo mi urobil Joab, syn Sarvie, čo urobil dvom veliteľom izraelského vojska, Nérovmu synovi Abnerovi a Jeterovmu synovi Amasovi, že ich zabil a v čase mieru vylieval krv ako za vojny a nevinnou krvou poškvrnil opasok, ktorý mám na páse, a obuv, ktorú mám na nohách.

Verš 23
Joab bol nad celým izraelským vojskom. Jojadov syn Banaiáš bol nad Kereťanmi a Feleťanmi.
2Sam 8:16 - Joab, syn Sarvie, bol veliteľom vojska, Ahiludov syn Jozafat bol kancelárom.

2Sam 20,3 - Nežil s nimi manželsky, lebo ich zneuctil jeho syn Absolón (16,22).

2Sam 20,4 - Amasa bol vojvodcom, porov. 19,14.

2Sam 20,15 - "I prišli", totiž Joabovi ľudia.

2Sam 20,23 - O Banaiášovi, Kereťanoch a Feleťanoch pozri 8,18.
