2. kniha Samuelova

1 (KAT) Kráľ sa zachvel, vystúpil do izby nad bránou a zaplakal. Keď odchádzal, hovoril: „Syn môj, Absolón, syn môj, syn môj, Absolón! Keby som ja bol zomrel namiesto teba, Absolón, syn môj, syn môj!“
1 (VUL) Contremuit itaque rex et ascendit cenaculum portae et flevit. Et sic loquebatur vadens: “ Fili mi Absalom, fili mi, fili mi Absalom! Quis mihi tribuat, ut ego moriar pro te? Absalom fili mi, fili mi! ”.
1 (UKJV) And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weeps and mourns for Absalom.

2 (KAT) Joabovi oznámili: „Hľa, kráľ plače a smúti za Absolónom!“
2 (VUL) Nuntiatum est autem Ioab quod rex fleret et lugeret filium suum.
2 (UKJV) And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son.

3 (KAT) Tak sa v ten deň víťazstvo zmenilo na smútok pre celý ľud, lebo ľud v ten deň počul, že sa kráľ trápi pre svojho syna.
3 (VUL) Et versa est victoria in die illa in luctum omni populo; audivit enim populus in die illa dici: “ Dolet rex super filio suo ”.
3 (UKJV) And the people got them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.

5 (KAT) Kráľ si však zahalil hlavu a kráľ volal veľkým hlasom: „Syn môj Absolón, Absolón, syn môj, syn môj!“
5 (VUL) Porro rex operuit vultum suum et clamabat voce magna: “ Fili mi Absalom, Absalom fili mi, fili mi! ”.
5 (UKJV) "And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, You have shamed this day the faces of all your servants, which this day have saved your life, and the lives of your sons and of your daughters, and the lives of your wives, and the lives of your concubines; "

6 (KAT) Vtedy prišiel ku kráľovi do domu Joab a povedal: „Dnes si potupil tvár všetkých svojich sluhov, ktorí dnes zachránili tvoj život a život tvojich synov a dcér, život tvojich žien a život tvojich vedľajších žien.

7 (UKJV) Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto your servants: for I swear by the LORD, if you go not forth, there will not tarry one with you this night: and that will be worse unto you than all the evil that befell you from your youth until now.

8 (KAT) A teraz vstaň a prehovor k srdcu svojich sluhov! Lebo prisahám na Pána, ak nevyjdeš von, neostane s tebou tejto noci ani muž. A toto ti bude horšie ako všetko nešťastie, ktoré ťa postihlo od mladi až doteraz.“
8 (VUL) Nunc igitur surge et procede et loquere ad cor servorum tuorum; iuro enim tibi per Dominum quod si non exieris, ne unus quidem remansurus sit tecum nocte hac, et peius erit hoc tibi quam omnia mala, quae venerunt super te ab adulescentia tua usque in praesens ”.
8 (UKJV) Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king does sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.

9 (KAT) Nato kráľ vstal a sadol si do brány. A keď všetkému ľudu oznámili: „Hľa, kráľ sedí v bráne,“ všetok ľud prišiel pred kráľa. Izraeliti však utiekli každý do svojho domu.
9 (VUL) Surrexit ergo rex et sedit in porta, et omni populo nuntiatum est quod rex sederet in porta; venitque universa multitudo coram rege. Israel autem fugerat in tabernacula sua.
9 (UKJV) "And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom. "

10 (KAT) Vtedy sa dohadoval celý národ vo všetkých izraelských kmeňoch a hovorili: „Kráľ nás vyslobodil z ruky našich nepriateľov, on nás vytrhol z ruky Filištíncov a teraz ušiel z krajiny pre Absolóna.

12 (UKJV) All of you are my brethren, all of you are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are all of you the last to bring back the king?

13 (UKJV) And say all of you to Amasa, Are you not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

14 (KAT) A Amasovi povedzte: »Nie si ty moja kosť a moje telo? Toto nech mi urobí Boh a toto nech mi pridá, ak nebudeš u mňa celý čas vojvodcom namiesto Joaba.«“
14 (VUL) Et Amasae dicite: Nonne os meum es et caro mea? Haec faciat mihi Deus et haec addat, si non magister militiae fueris coram me omni tempore pro Ioab! ”.
14 (UKJV) "And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as the heart of one man; so that they sent this word unto the king, Return you, and all your servants. "

15 (KAT) Takto si naklonil srdce všetkých Júdovcov ako srdce jedného muža. I poslali po kráľa: „Vráť sa ty i všetci tvoji sluhovia!“
15 (VUL) Et inclinavit cor omnium virorum Iudae quasi viri unius; miseruntque ad regem dicentes: “ Revertere tu et omnes servi tui ”.
15 (UKJV) So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.

16 (UKJV) And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, which was of Bahurim, hasted and came down with the men of Judah to meet king David.

17 (KAT) Gérov syn Semei, Benjamínec z Bahurimu, zostupoval chytro s Júdovcami v ústrety kráľovi Dávidovi.
17 (VUL) Festinavit autem Semei filius Gera Beniaminita de Bahurim et descendit cum viris Iudae in occursum regis David;
17 (UKJV) "And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king. "

18 (KAT) Mal so sebou tisíc mužov z Benjamína. Aj Siba, sluha Šaulovho domu, a s ním jeho pätnásti synovia a dvadsiati sluhovia ponáhľali sa k Jordánu pred kráľa.
18 (VUL) mille viri de Beniamin et Siba puer de domo Saul et quindecim filii eius ac viginti servi erant cum eo. Irruperant autem Iordanem iam ante regem
18 (UKJV) "And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan; "

19 (VUL) et transierant vada, ut traducerent domum regis et facerent iuxta placitum eius. Semei autem filius Gera prostratus coram rege, cum transiturus esset Iordanem,
19 (UKJV) And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do you remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

20 (KAT) a hovoril kráľovi: „Nech mi môj pán nepripočítava za zločin a nepripomína si, čím sa previnil tvoj sluha v ten deň, keď môj kráľovský pán vychádzal z Jeruzalema! Nech si to kráľ neberie k srdcu!
20 (VUL) dixit ad eum: “ Ne reputes mihi, domine mi, iniquitatem neque memineris iniuriam servi tui in die, qua egressus es, domine mi rex, de Ierusalem; neque ponas, rex, in corde tuo.
20 (UKJV) For your servant does know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

21 (KAT) Veď ja, tvoj sluha, viem, že som sa prehrešil. Preto som prišiel prvý z celého Jozefovho domu a išiel som v ústrety svojmu kráľovskému pánovi!“
21 (VUL) Agnosco enim servus tuus peccatum meum et idcirco hodie primus veni de omni domo Ioseph descendique in occursum domini mei regis ”.
21 (UKJV) But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD's anointed?

22 (KAT) Nato sa ozval Abisai, syn Sarvie, a spýtal sa: „Nemá Semei zomrieť za to, že preklínal Pánovho pomazaného?!“
22 (VUL) Respondens vero Abisai filius Sarviae dixit: “ Numquid non occidetur Semei, pro hoc quia maledixit christo Domini? ”.
22 (UKJV) And David said, What have I to do with you, all of you sons of Zeruiah, that all of you should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

23 (KAT) Ale Dávid odpovedal: „Nechajte to, synovia Sarvie! Dnes ste mi na pokušenie! Dnes má niekto zomrieť v Izraeli? Či neviem, že som dnes kráľom nad Izraelom?“
23 (VUL) Et ait David: “ Quid mihi et vobis, filii Sarviae, quia efficimini mihi hodie in satan? Ergone hodie interficietur vir in Israel? An ignoro hodie me factum regem super Israel? ”.
23 (UKJV) Therefore the king said unto Shimei, You shall not die. And the king swore unto him.

24 (KAT) Potom kráľ povedal Semeimu: „Nezomrieš!“ A kráľ sa mu zaprisahal.
24 (VUL) Et ait rex Semei: “ Non morieris! ”. Iuravitque ei.
24 (UKJV) And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.

25 (KAT) Aj Šaulov syn Mifiboset prišiel dolu v ústrety kráľovi. Neošetril si nohy, neupravil si bradu a neopral si šaty odo dňa, čo kráľ odišiel, až do dňa, keď sa vrátil v pokoji.
25 (VUL) Meribbaal quoque filius Saul descendit in occursum regis; non laverat pedes nec circumcidit ungues nec totonderat barbam vestesque suas non laverat a die, qua egressus fuerat rex, usque ad diem reversionis eius in pace.
25 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore went not you with me, Mephibosheth?

26 (KAT) Keď prišiel kráľovi v ústrety do Jeruzalema, kráľ sa ho spýtal: „Prečo si nešiel so mnou, Mifiboset?“
26 (VUL) Cumque de Ierusalem occurrisset regi, dixit ei rex: “ Quare non venisti mecum, Meribbaal? ”.
26 (UKJV) "And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for your servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because your servant is lame. "

27 (KAT) Odpovedal: „Môj kráľovský pane, môj sluha ma oklamal. Lebo tvoj sluha povedal: »Osedlaj mi osla, chcem naň vysadnúť a ísť s kráľom.« Veď tvoj sluha je chromý!
27 (VUL) Qui respondens ait: “ Domine mi rex, servus meus decepit me! Nam dixeram ei ego famulus tuus: Sternere faciam mihi asinum et ascendens abibo cum rege; claudus enim sum servus tuus.
27 (UKJV) "And he has slandered your servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in your eyes. "

28 (KAT) Ale osočoval tvojho sluhu u môjho kráľovského pána. Lenže môj kráľovský pán je ako Boží anjel. Nuž urob, čo uznáš za dobré!

28 (UKJV) For all of my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet did you set your servant among them that did eat at your own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?

29 (KAT) Veď celý dom môjho otca nemohol čakať od môjho kráľovského pána nič iné, iba smrť. A predsa si zaradil svojho sluhu medzi tých, čo jedia z tvojho stola. Akéže mám ešte právo volať ďalej ku kráľovi?“
29 (VUL) Neque enim fuit domus patris mei nisi morti obnoxia domino meo regi; tu autem posuisti me servum tuum inter convivas mensae tuae. Quid ultra igitur habeo iustitiae, ut vociferer ad regem? ”.
29 (UKJV) And the king said unto him, Why speak you any more of your matters? I have said, You and Ziba divide the land.

30 (KAT) Kráľ mu povedal: „Načo hovoríš toľko rečí? Rozkazujem: Ty a Siba si podelíte pole!“
30 (VUL) Ait ergo ei rex: “ Quid ultra loqueris? Dixi: Tu et Siba dividite possessiones ”.
30 (UKJV) And Mephibosheth said unto the king, Yea, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king has come again in peace unto his own house.

31 (KAT) Mifiboset povedal kráľovi: „Nech si vezme hoci všetko, len keď sa môj kráľovský pán vrátil domov v pokoji!“
31 (VUL) Responditque Meribbaal regi: “ Etiam cuncta accipiat, postquam reversus est dominus meus rex pacifice in domum suam! ”.
31 (UKJV) And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.

32 (UKJV) "Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man. "

33 (UKJV) And the king said unto Barzillai, Come you over with me, and I will feed you with me in Jerusalem.

34 (KAT) Dávid povedal Berzelaimu: „Poď so mnou, budem ťa opatrovať u seba v Jeruzaleme!“
34 (VUL) Dixit itaque rex ad Berzellai: “ Veni mecum et praebebo tibi alimenta apud me in Ierusalem ”.
34 (UKJV) And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?

35 (KAT) Berzelai odpovedal kráľovi: „Koľkože rokov budem ešte žiť, aby som šiel s kráľom do Jeruzalema?
35 (VUL) Et ait Berzellai ad regem: “ Quot sunt dies annorum vitae meae, ut ascendam cum rege Ierusalem?
35 (UKJV) I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should your servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?

36 (KAT) Dnes mám osemdesiat rokov. Vari poznám ešte rozdiel medzi dobrým a zlým? Azda chutí ešte tvojmu sluhovi, čo je a pije? Alebo môžem ešte počúvať hlasy spevákov a speváčok? Nuž načo by mal byť tvoj sluha ešte na ťarchu svojmu kráľovskému pánovi?
36 (VUL) Octogenarius sum hodie; numquid vigent sensus mei ad discernendum suave aut amarum? Aut delectare potest servum tuum cibus et potus? Vel audire ultra possum vocem cantorum atque cantricum? Quare servus tuus esset ultra oneri domino meo regi?
36 (UKJV) Your servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?

37 (KAT) Len trocha chce ísť tvoj sluha s kráľom k Jordánu, prečo ma chce kráľ odmieňať za túto službičku?
37 (VUL) Paululum procedam famulus tuus ab Iordane tecum. Et cur dabit rex mihi hanc vicissitudinem?
37 (UKJV) "Let your servant, I pray you, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto you. "

38 (KAT) Nechže sa tvoj sluha smie vrátiť; chcem zomrieť vo svojom meste, pri hrobe svojho otca a matky. Ale hľa, tvoj sluha Chamám môže ísť s mojím kráľovským pánom, nalož s ním, ako uznáš za dobré!“
38 (VUL) Sed obsecro, ut revertar servus tuus et moriar in civitate mea iuxta sepulcrum patris mei et matris meae. Sed ecce servus tuus Chamaam; ipse vadat tecum, domine mi rex, et fac ei, quod tibi bonum videtur ”.
38 (UKJV) And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto you: and whatsoever you shall require of me, that will I do for you.

39 (KAT) Kráľ odpovedal: „Chamám nech ide so mnou a ja naložím s ním, ako ty uznáš za dobré. Urobím ti všetko, čo odo mňa žiadaš.“
39 (VUL) Dixitque rex: “ Mecum transeat Chamaam, et ego faciam ei, quidquid tibi placuerit; et omne, quod petieris a me, impetrabis ”.
39 (UKJV) "And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned unto his own place. "

40 (KAT) Potom všetok ľud prešiel cez Jordán. Prešiel aj kráľ. Kráľ pobozkal Berzelaiho, požehnal ho a on sa vrátil do svojho domova.
40 (VUL) Cumque transisset universus populus et rex Iordanem, osculatus est rex Berzellai et benedixit ei; et ille reversus est in locum suum.
40 (UKJV) Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.

41 (KAT) Kráľ potom išiel do Galgaly a Chamám išiel s ním. Kráľa sprevádzal všetok júdsky ľud aj polovica ľudu izraelského.
41 (VUL) Transivit ergo rex in Galgala, et Chamaam cum eo. Omnis autem populus Iudae traduxerat regem, et etiam media pars populi Israel.
41 (UKJV) And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen you away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David's men with him, over Jordan?

42 (KAT) Tu prišli ku kráľovi všetci Izraeliti a spýtali sa kráľa: „Prečo si ťa ukradli naši bratia Júdovci a previedli cez Jordán kráľa, jeho rodinu aj celú Dávidovu družinu?“
42 (VUL) Et ecce omnes viri Israel concurrentes ad regem dixerunt ei: “ Quare te furati sunt fratres nostri viri Iudae et traduxerunt regem et domum eius Iordanem omnesque viros David cum eo? ”.
42 (UKJV) And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be all of you angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king's cost? or has he given us any gift?

43 (KAT) Nato Júdovci odpovedali Izraelitom: „Preto, že nám je kráľ príbuzný. Čo sa pre túto vec hneváte? Azda sme niečo zjedli z kráľa? Alebo sme ho azda uniesli?“
43 (VUL) Et respondit omnis vir Iudae ad virum Israel: “ Quia propior mihi est rex. Cur irasceris super hac re? Numquid comedimus aliquid ex rege, aut munera nobis data sunt? ”.
43 (UKJV) And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than all of you: why then did all of you despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.

44 (KAT) Izraeliti odpovedali Júdovcom: „My máme nárok na desať čiastok z kráľa a aj Dávid patrí väčšmi nám ako vám. Nuž prečo ste nás znevážili? A nehovorili sme my prví o návrate nášho kráľa?“ Ale reči Júdovcov boli ešte tvrdšie než Izraelitov.
44 (VUL) Et respondit vir Israel ad virum Iudae et ait: “ Decem partes mihi sunt in rege et ideo etiam in David. Ego sum potior te; cur contempsisti me? Et non ego prior locutus sum, ut reducerem regem meum? ”. Durius autem responderunt viri Iudae viris Israel.
