1 (HEM) ויגד ליואב הנה המלך בכה ויתאבל על אבשלם׃
1 (KAT) Kráľ sa zachvel, vystúpil do izby nad bránou a zaplakal. Keď odchádzal, hovoril: „Syn môj, Absolón, syn môj, syn môj, Absolón! Keby som ja bol zomrel namiesto teba, Absolón, syn môj, syn môj!“
1 (UKJV) And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weeps and mourns for Absalom.

2 (HEM) ותהי התשעה ביום ההוא לאבל לכל העם כי שמע העם ביום ההוא לאמר נעצב המלך על בנו׃
2 (KAT) Joabovi oznámili: „Hľa, kráľ plače a smúti za Absolónom!“
2 (UKJV) And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son.

3 (HEM) ויתגנב העם ביום ההוא לבוא העיר כאשר יתגנב העם הנכלמים בנוסם במלחמה׃
3 (KAT) Tak sa v ten deň víťazstvo zmenilo na smútok pre celý ľud, lebo ľud v ten deň počul, že sa kráľ trápi pre svojho syna.
3 (UKJV) And the people got them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.

4 (HEM) והמלך לאט את פניו ויזעק המלך קול גדול בני אבשלום אבשלום בני בני׃
4 (KAT) Preto vojsko v ten deň len ukradomky vchádzalo do mesta, ako sa vkráda vojsko, ktoré sa hanbí, lebo ušlo z boja.
4 (UKJV) But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!

5 (HEM) ויבא יואב אל המלך הבית ויאמר הבשת היום את פני כל עבדיך הממלטים את נפשך היום ואת נפש בניך ובנתיך ונפש נשיך ונפש פלגשיך׃
5 (KAT) Kráľ si však zahalil hlavu a kráľ volal veľkým hlasom: „Syn môj Absolón, Absolón, syn môj, syn môj!“
5 (UKJV) "And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, You have shamed this day the faces of all your servants, which this day have saved your life, and the lives of your sons and of your daughters, and the lives of your wives, and the lives of your concubines; "

6 (HEM) לאהבה את שנאיך ולשנא את אהביך כי הגדת היום כי אין לך שרים ועבדים כי ידעתי היום כי לא אבשלום חי וכלנו היום מתים כי אז ישר בעיניך׃
6 (KAT) Vtedy prišiel ku kráľovi do domu Joab a povedal: „Dnes si potupil tvár všetkých svojich sluhov, ktorí dnes zachránili tvoj život a život tvojich synov a dcér, život tvojich žien a život tvojich vedľajších žien.
6 (UKJV) In that you love your enemies, and hate your friends. For you have declared this day, that you regard neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased you well.

7 (HEM) ועתה קום צא ודבר על לב עבדיך כי ביהוה נשבעתי כי אינך יוצא אם ילין איש אתך הלילה ורעה לך זאת מכל הרעה אשר באה עליך מנעריך עד עתה׃
7 (KAT) Lebo preukazuješ lásku tým, čo ťa nenávidia, a nenávidíš tých, čo ťa milujú. Veď si dnes prezradil, že nemáš za nič vojvodcov ani služobníkov! Dnes viem, že keby bol Absolón nažive a my by sme dnes boli všetci mŕtvi, to by ti bolo po vôli.
7 (UKJV) Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto your servants: for I swear by the LORD, if you go not forth, there will not tarry one with you this night: and that will be worse unto you than all the evil that befell you from your youth until now.

8 (HEM) ויקם המלך וישב בשער ולכל העם הגידו לאמר הנה המלך יושב בשער ויבא כל העם לפני המלך וישראל נס איש לאהליו׃
8 (KAT) A teraz vstaň a prehovor k srdcu svojich sluhov! Lebo prisahám na Pána, ak nevyjdeš von, neostane s tebou tejto noci ani muž. A toto ti bude horšie ako všetko nešťastie, ktoré ťa postihlo od mladi až doteraz.“
8 (UKJV) Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king does sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.

9 (HEM) ויהי כל העם נדון בכל שבטי ישראל לאמר המלך הצילנו מכף איבינו והוא מלטנו מכף פלשתים ועתה ברח מן הארץ מעל אבשלום׃
9 (KAT) Nato kráľ vstal a sadol si do brány. A keď všetkému ľudu oznámili: „Hľa, kráľ sedí v bráne,“ všetok ľud prišiel pred kráľa. Izraeliti však utiekli každý do svojho domu.
9 (UKJV) "And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom. "

10 (HEM) ואבשלום אשר משחנו עלינו מת במלחמה ועתה למה אתם מחרשים להשיב את המלך׃
10 (KAT) Vtedy sa dohadoval celý národ vo všetkých izraelských kmeňoch a hovorili: „Kráľ nás vyslobodil z ruky našich nepriateľov, on nás vytrhol z ruky Filištíncov a teraz ušiel z krajiny pre Absolóna.
10 (UKJV) And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak all of you not a word of bringing the king back?

11 (HEM) והמלך דוד שלח אל צדוק ואל אביתר הכהנים לאמר דברו אל זקני יהודה לאמר למה תהיו אחרנים להשיב את המלך אל ביתו ודבר כל ישראל בא אל המלך אל ביתו׃
11 (KAT) Absolón, ktorého sme pomazali nad sebou, padol v boji. Nuž dokedy chcete váhať priviesť kráľa naspäť?“
11 (UKJV) And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are all of you the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel has come to the king, even to his house.

12 (HEM) אחי אתם עצמי ובשרי אתם ולמה תהיו אחרנים להשיב את המלך׃
12 (KAT) A kráľ Dávid poslal kňazom Sadokovi a Abiatarovi odkaz: „Povedzte júdskym starším toto: »Prečo ste vy poslední, čo chcú priviesť kráľa naspäť do jeho domu?« (Lebo reči celého Izraela došli ku kráľovi do jeho domu.)
12 (UKJV) All of you are my brethren, all of you are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are all of you the last to bring back the king?

13 (HEM) ולעמשא תמרו הלוא עצמי ובשרי אתה כה יעשה לי אלהים וכה יוסיף אם לא שר צבא תהיה לפני כל הימים תחת יואב׃
13 (KAT) »Vy ste moji bratia, vy ste moja kosť a moje telo, nuž prečo ste poslední, čo chcú kráľa priviesť naspäť?«
13 (UKJV) And say all of you to Amasa, Are you not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

14 (HEM) ויט את לבב כל איש יהודה כאיש אחד וישלחו אל המלך שוב אתה וכל עבדיך׃
14 (KAT) A Amasovi povedzte: »Nie si ty moja kosť a moje telo? Toto nech mi urobí Boh a toto nech mi pridá, ak nebudeš u mňa celý čas vojvodcom namiesto Joaba.«“
14 (UKJV) "And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as the heart of one man; so that they sent this word unto the king, Return you, and all your servants. "

15 (HEM) וישב המלך ויבא עד הירדן ויהודה בא הגלגלה ללכת לקראת המלך להעביר את המלך את הירדן׃
15 (KAT) Takto si naklonil srdce všetkých Júdovcov ako srdce jedného muža. I poslali po kráľa: „Vráť sa ty i všetci tvoji sluhovia!“
15 (UKJV) So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.

16 (HEM) וימהר שמעי בן גרא בן הימיני אשר מבחורים וירד עם איש יהודה לקראת המלך דוד׃
16 (KAT) Kráľ sa vrátil a prišiel až k Jordánu. Júdovci prišli do Galgaly, chceli ísť v ústrety kráľovi, aby kráľa previedli cez Jordán.
16 (UKJV) And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, which was of Bahurim, hasted and came down with the men of Judah to meet king David.

17 (HEM) ואלף איש עמו מבנימן וציבא נער בית שאול וחמשת עשר בניו ועשרים עבדיו אתו וצלחו הירדן לפני המלך׃
17 (KAT) Gérov syn Semei, Benjamínec z Bahurimu, zostupoval chytro s Júdovcami v ústrety kráľovi Dávidovi.
17 (UKJV) "And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king. "

18 (HEM) ועברה העברה לעביר את בית המלך ולעשות הטוב בעינו ושמעי בן גרא נפל לפני המלך בעברו בירדן׃
18 (KAT) Mal so sebou tisíc mužov z Benjamína. Aj Siba, sluha Šaulovho domu, a s ním jeho pätnásti synovia a dvadsiati sluhovia ponáhľali sa k Jordánu pred kráľa.
18 (UKJV) "And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan; "

19 (HEM) ויאמר אל המלך אל יחשב לי אדני עון ואל תזכר את אשר העוה עבדך ביום אשר יצא אדני המלך מירושלם לשום המלך אל לבו׃
19 (KAT) Prešli cez brod, aby previedli kráľovu rodinu a aby sa mu dali k službám. Gérov syn Semei však padol pred kráľom, keď prechádzal cez Jordán,
19 (UKJV) And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do you remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

20 (HEM) כי ידע עבדך כי אני חטאתי והנה באתי היום ראשון לכל בית יוסף לרדת לקראת אדני המלך׃
20 (KAT) a hovoril kráľovi: „Nech mi môj pán nepripočítava za zločin a nepripomína si, čím sa previnil tvoj sluha v ten deň, keď môj kráľovský pán vychádzal z Jeruzalema! Nech si to kráľ neberie k srdcu!
20 (UKJV) For your servant does know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

21 (HEM) ויען אבישי בן צרויה ויאמר התחת זאת לא יומת שמעי כי קלל את משיח יהוה׃
21 (KAT) Veď ja, tvoj sluha, viem, že som sa prehrešil. Preto som prišiel prvý z celého Jozefovho domu a išiel som v ústrety svojmu kráľovskému pánovi!“
21 (UKJV) But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD's anointed?

22 (HEM) ויאמר דוד מה לי ולכם בני צרויה כי תהיו לי היום לשטן היום יומת איש בישראל כי הלוא ידעתי כי היום אני מלך על ישראל׃
22 (KAT) Nato sa ozval Abisai, syn Sarvie, a spýtal sa: „Nemá Semei zomrieť za to, že preklínal Pánovho pomazaného?!“
22 (UKJV) And David said, What have I to do with you, all of you sons of Zeruiah, that all of you should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

23 (HEM) ויאמר המלך אל שמעי לא תמות וישבע לו המלך׃
23 (KAT) Ale Dávid odpovedal: „Nechajte to, synovia Sarvie! Dnes ste mi na pokušenie! Dnes má niekto zomrieť v Izraeli? Či neviem, že som dnes kráľom nad Izraelom?“
23 (UKJV) Therefore the king said unto Shimei, You shall not die. And the king swore unto him.

24 (HEM) ומפבשת בן שאול ירד לקראת המלך ולא עשה רגליו ולא עשה שפמו ואת בגדיו לא כבס למן היום לכת המלך עד היום אשר בא בשלום׃
24 (KAT) Potom kráľ povedal Semeimu: „Nezomrieš!“ A kráľ sa mu zaprisahal.
24 (UKJV) And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.

25 (HEM) ויהי כי בא ירושלם לקראת המלך ויאמר לו המלך למה לא הלכת עמי מפיבשת׃
25 (KAT) Aj Šaulov syn Mifiboset prišiel dolu v ústrety kráľovi. Neošetril si nohy, neupravil si bradu a neopral si šaty odo dňa, čo kráľ odišiel, až do dňa, keď sa vrátil v pokoji.
25 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore went not you with me, Mephibosheth?

26 (HEM) ויאמר אדני המלך עבדי רמני כי אמר עבדך אחבשה לי החמור וארכב עליה ואלך את המלך כי פסח עבדך׃
26 (KAT) Keď prišiel kráľovi v ústrety do Jeruzalema, kráľ sa ho spýtal: „Prečo si nešiel so mnou, Mifiboset?“
26 (UKJV) "And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for your servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because your servant is lame. "

27 (HEM) וירגל בעבדך אל אדני המלך ואדני המלך כמלאך האלהים ועשה הטוב בעיניך׃
27 (KAT) Odpovedal: „Môj kráľovský pane, môj sluha ma oklamal. Lebo tvoj sluha povedal: »Osedlaj mi osla, chcem naň vysadnúť a ísť s kráľom.« Veď tvoj sluha je chromý!
27 (UKJV) "And he has slandered your servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in your eyes. "

28 (HEM) כי לא היה כל בית אבי כי אם אנשי מות לאדני המלך ותשת את עבדך באכלי שלחנך ומה יש לי עוד צדקה ולזעק עוד אל המלך׃
28 (KAT) Ale osočoval tvojho sluhu u môjho kráľovského pána. Lenže môj kráľovský pán je ako Boží anjel. Nuž urob, čo uznáš za dobré!
28 (UKJV) For all of my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet did you set your servant among them that did eat at your own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?

29 (HEM) ויאמר לו המלך למה תדבר עוד דבריך אמרתי אתה וציבא תחלקו את השדה׃
29 (KAT) Veď celý dom môjho otca nemohol čakať od môjho kráľovského pána nič iné, iba smrť. A predsa si zaradil svojho sluhu medzi tých, čo jedia z tvojho stola. Akéže mám ešte právo volať ďalej ku kráľovi?“
29 (UKJV) And the king said unto him, Why speak you any more of your matters? I have said, You and Ziba divide the land.

30 (HEM) ויאמר מפיבשת אל המלך גם את הכל יקח אחרי אשר בא אדני המלך בשלום אל ביתו׃
30 (KAT) Kráľ mu povedal: „Načo hovoríš toľko rečí? Rozkazujem: Ty a Siba si podelíte pole!“
30 (UKJV) And Mephibosheth said unto the king, Yea, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king has come again in peace unto his own house.

31 (HEM) וברזלי הגלעדי ירד מרגלים ויעבר את המלך הירדן לשלחו את בירדן׃
31 (KAT) Mifiboset povedal kráľovi: „Nech si vezme hoci všetko, len keď sa môj kráľovský pán vrátil domov v pokoji!“
31 (UKJV) And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.

32 (HEM) וברזלי זקן מאד בן שמנים שנה והוא כלכל את המלך בשיבתו במחנים כי איש גדול הוא מאד׃
32 (KAT) Aj Galaádčan Berzelai prišiel dolu z Rogelimu a išiel s kráľom až po Jordán, chcel ho sprevádzať cez Jordán.
32 (UKJV) "Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man. "

33 (HEM) ויאמר המלך אל ברזלי אתה עבר אתי וכלכלתי אתך עמדי בירושלם׃
33 (KAT) Berzelai bol veľmi starý, mal osemdesiat rokov. On zaopatroval kráľa, keď sa zdržoval v Mahanaime, bol totiž veľmi zámožný.
33 (UKJV) And the king said unto Barzillai, Come you over with me, and I will feed you with me in Jerusalem.

34 (HEM) ויאמר ברזלי אל המלך כמה ימי שני חיי כי אעלה את המלך ירושלם׃
34 (KAT) Dávid povedal Berzelaimu: „Poď so mnou, budem ťa opatrovať u seba v Jeruzaleme!“
34 (UKJV) And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?

35 (HEM) בן שמנים שנה אנכי היום האדע בין טוב לרע אם יטעם עבדך את אשר אכל ואת אשר אשתה אם אשמע עוד בקול שרים ושרות ולמה יהיה עבדך עוד למשא אל אדני המלך׃
35 (KAT) Berzelai odpovedal kráľovi: „Koľkože rokov budem ešte žiť, aby som šiel s kráľom do Jeruzalema?
35 (UKJV) I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should your servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?

36 (HEM) כמעט יעבר עבדך את הירדן את המלך ולמה יגמלני המלך הגמולה הזאת׃
36 (KAT) Dnes mám osemdesiat rokov. Vari poznám ešte rozdiel medzi dobrým a zlým? Azda chutí ešte tvojmu sluhovi, čo je a pije? Alebo môžem ešte počúvať hlasy spevákov a speváčok? Nuž načo by mal byť tvoj sluha ešte na ťarchu svojmu kráľovskému pánovi?
36 (UKJV) Your servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?

37 (HEM) ישב נא עבדך ואמת בעירי עם קבר אבי ואמי והנה עבדך כמהם יעבר עם אדני המלך ועשה לו את אשר טוב בעיניך׃
37 (KAT) Len trocha chce ísť tvoj sluha s kráľom k Jordánu, prečo ma chce kráľ odmieňať za túto službičku?
37 (UKJV) "Let your servant, I pray you, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto you. "

38 (HEM) ויאמר המלך אתי יעבר כמהם ואני אעשה לו את הטוב בעיניך וכל אשר תבחר עלי אעשה לך׃
38 (KAT) Nechže sa tvoj sluha smie vrátiť; chcem zomrieť vo svojom meste, pri hrobe svojho otca a matky. Ale hľa, tvoj sluha Chamám môže ísť s mojím kráľovským pánom, nalož s ním, ako uznáš za dobré!“
38 (UKJV) And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto you: and whatsoever you shall require of me, that will I do for you.

39 (HEM) ויעבר כל העם את הירדן והמלך עבר וישק המלך לברזלי ויברכהו וישב למקמו׃
39 (KAT) Kráľ odpovedal: „Chamám nech ide so mnou a ja naložím s ním, ako ty uznáš za dobré. Urobím ti všetko, čo odo mňa žiadaš.“
39 (UKJV) "And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned unto his own place. "

40 (HEM) ויעבר המלך הגלגלה וכמהן עבר עמו וכל עם יהודה ויעבירו את המלך וגם חצי עם ישראל׃
40 (KAT) Potom všetok ľud prešiel cez Jordán. Prešiel aj kráľ. Kráľ pobozkal Berzelaiho, požehnal ho a on sa vrátil do svojho domova.
40 (UKJV) Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.

41 (HEM) והנה כל איש ישראל באים אל המלך ויאמרו אל המלך מדוע גנבוך אחינו איש יהודה ויעברו את המלך ואת ביתו את הירדן וכל אנשי דוד עמו׃
41 (KAT) Kráľ potom išiel do Galgaly a Chamám išiel s ním. Kráľa sprevádzal všetok júdsky ľud aj polovica ľudu izraelského.
41 (UKJV) And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen you away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David's men with him, over Jordan?

42 (HEM) ויען כל איש יהודה על איש ישראל כי קרוב המלך אלי ולמה זה חרה לך על הדבר הזה האכול אכלנו מן המלך אם נשאת נשא לנו׃
42 (KAT) Tu prišli ku kráľovi všetci Izraeliti a spýtali sa kráľa: „Prečo si ťa ukradli naši bratia Júdovci a previedli cez Jordán kráľa, jeho rodinu aj celú Dávidovu družinu?“
42 (UKJV) And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be all of you angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king's cost? or has he given us any gift?

43 (HEM) ויען איש ישראל את איש יהודה ויאמר עשר ידות לי במלך וגם בדוד אני ממך ומדוע הקלתני ולא היה דברי ראשון לי להשיב את מלכי ויקש דבר איש יהודה מדבר איש ישראל׃
43 (KAT) Nato Júdovci odpovedali Izraelitom: „Preto, že nám je kráľ príbuzný. Čo sa pre túto vec hneváte? Azda sme niečo zjedli z kráľa? Alebo sme ho azda uniesli?“
43 (UKJV) And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than all of you: why then did all of you despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.

44 ----
44 (KAT) Izraeliti odpovedali Júdovcom: „My máme nárok na desať čiastok z kráľa a aj Dávid patrí väčšmi nám ako vám. Nuž prečo ste nás znevážili? A nehovorili sme my prví o návrate nášho kráľa?“ Ale reči Júdovcov boli ešte tvrdšie než Izraelitov.
