1 (HEM) ודוד עבר מעט מהראש והנה ציבא נער מפי בשת לקראתו וצמד חמרים חבשים ועליהם מאתים לחם ומאה צמוקים ומאה קיץ ונבל יין׃
1 (KAT) Keď Dávid zašiel trocha za kopec, išiel mu naproti Mifibosetov sluha Siba s párom osedlaných oslov, na ktorých bolo dvesto chlebov, sto hrozienkových koláčov, sto fíg a mech vína.
1 (UKJV) And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.

2 (HEM) ויאמר המלך אל ציבא מה אלה לך ויאמר ציבא החמורים לבית המלך לרכב ולהלחם והקיץ לאכול הנערים והיין לשתות היעף במדבר׃
2 (KAT) Kráľ sa opýtal Sibu: „Čo s týmto chceš?“ Siba odpovedal: „Osly sú pre kráľovskú rodinu na jazdenie, chlieb a figy sú jedlo pre služobníkov a víno bude nápoj pre tých, čo ustanú na púšti.“
2 (UKJV) "And the king said unto Ziba, What mean you by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink. "

3 (HEM) ויאמר המלך ואיה בן אדניך ויאמר ציבא אל המלך הנה יושב בירושלם כי אמר היום ישיבו לי בית ישראל את ממלכות אבי׃
3 (KAT) Kráľ sa spýtal: „Kde je syn tvojho pána?“ Siba odpovedal Dávidovi: „Sedí v Jeruzaleme, lebo hovorí: »Dnes mi Izraelov dom vráti kráľovstvo môjho otca.«“
3 (UKJV) And the king said, And where is your master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abides at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

4 (HEM) ויאמר המלך לצבא הנה לך כל אשר למפי בשת ויאמר ציבא השתחויתי אמצא חן בעיניך אדני המלך׃
4 (KAT) A kráľ povedal Sibovi: „Všetko, čo mal Mifiboset, je tvoje.“ Siba odpovedal: „Klaniam sa! Našiel som milosť v očiach svojho kráľovského pána.“
4 (UKJV) Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, your are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly plead to you that I may find grace in your sight, my lord, O king.

5 (HEM) ובא המלך דוד עד בחורים והנה משם איש יוצא ממשפחת בית שאול ושמו שמעי בן גרא יצא יצוא ומקלל׃
5 (KAT) Keď kráľ došiel až k Bahurim, práve vychádzal odtiaľ muž z príbuzenstva Šaulovho domu, Gérov syn menom Semei. Kadiaľ išiel, tadiaľ preklínal
5 (UKJV) And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.

6 (HEM) ויסקל באבנים את דוד ואת כל עבדי המלך דוד וכל העם וכל הגברים מימינו ומשמאלו׃
6 (KAT) a hádzal kamene do Dávida a do sluhov kráľa Dávida, hoci mu všetok ľud a všetci hrdinovia išli po pravej i ľavej strane.
6 (UKJV) And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.

7 (HEM) וכה אמר שמעי בקללו צא צא איש הדמים ואיש הבליעל׃
7 (KAT) Semei hovoril takto, keď preklínal: „Von, von, krvavý muž, muž beliálov!
7 (UKJV) And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, you bloody man, and you man of Belial:

8 (HEM) השיב עליך יהוה כל דמי בית שאול אשר מלכת תחתו ויתן יהוה את המלוכה ביד אבשלום בנך והנך ברעתך כי איש דמים אתה׃
8 (KAT) Pán vrátil na teba všetku krv Šaulovho domu, miesto ktorého kraľuješ, a kráľovstvo dal do ruky tvojho syna Absolóna. Teraz si v nešťastí, lebo si krvavý muž.“
8 (UKJV) "The LORD has returned upon you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose position you have reigned; and the LORD has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son: and, behold, you are taken in your mischief, because you are a bloody man. "

9 (HEM) ויאמר אבישי בן צרויה אל המלך למה יקלל הכלב המת הזה את אדני המלך אעברה נא ואסירה את ראשו׃
9 (KAT) Nato Abisai, syn Sarvie, vravel kráľovi: „Čo má tento zdochnutý pes preklínať môjho kráľovského pána?! Prejdem a zrazím mu hlavu!“
9 (UKJV) Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray you, and take off his head.

10 (HEM) ויאמר המלך מה לי ולכם בני צריה כי יקלל וכי יהוה אמר לו קלל את דוד ומי יאמר מדוע עשיתה כן׃
10 (KAT) Ale Dávid povedal: „Nestarajte sa do toho, synovia Sarvie! Nech preklína! Lebo ak mu Pán povedal: »Preklínaj Dávida!«, kto mu povie: »Prečo to robíš?!«“
10 (UKJV) And the king said, What have I to do with you, all of you sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD has said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore have you done so?

11 (HEM) ויאמר דוד אל אבישי ואל כל עבדיו הנה בני אשר יצא ממעי מבקש את נפשי ואף כי עתה בן הימיני הנחו לו ויקלל כי אמר לו יהוה׃
11 (KAT) Potom povedal Dávid Abisaiovi a všetkým svojim sluhom: „Hľa, môj syn, ktorý vyšiel z mojich útrob, číha mi na život, nuž o čo skôr to môže tento Benjamínec! Nechajte ho preklínať, lebo mu to Pán prikázal!
11 (UKJV) "And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came out of my bowels, seeks my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD has bidden him. "

12 (HEM) אולי יראה יהוה בעוני והשיב יהוה לי טובה תחת קללתו היום הזה׃
12 (KAT) Azda zhliadne na moju biedu a odplatí mi dobrým za dnešné preklínanie.“
12 (UKJV) It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.

13 (HEM) וילך דוד ואנשיו בדרך ושמעי הלך בצלע ההר לעמתו הלוך ויקלל ויסקל באבנים לעמתו ועפר בעפר׃
13 (KAT) Potom išiel kráľ a jeho sluhovia po ceste, Semei však išiel vedľa neho po úbočí vrchu, neprestajne preklínal, hádzal doň kamene a metal prach.
13 (UKJV) And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side opposite to him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.

14 (HEM) ויבא המלך וכל העם אשר אתו עיפים וינפש שם׃
14 (KAT) Kráľ a všetok ľud, ktorý bol s ním, došiel unavený (k Jordánu), a tam sa občerstvil.
14 (UKJV) And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.

15 (HEM) ואבשלום וכל העם איש ישראל באו ירושלם ואחיתפל אתו׃
15 (KAT) Absolón a všetci izraelskí mužovia došli do Jeruzalema. Aj Achitofel bol s nimi.
15 (UKJV) And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.

16 (HEM) ויהי כאשר בא חושי הארכי רעה דוד אל אבשלום ויאמר חושי אל אבשלם יחי המלך יחי המלך׃
16 (KAT) Keď prišiel Dávidov priateľ Arachita Chusai k Absolónovi, vravel Chusai Absolónovi: „Nech žije kráľ! Nech žije kráľ!“
16 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.

17 (HEM) ויאמר אבשלום אל חושי זה חסדך את רעך למה לא הלכת את רעך׃
17 (KAT) Absolón povedal Chusaimu: „Toto je tvoja láska k priateľovi? Prečo si nešiel so svojím priateľom?“
17 (UKJV) And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this your kindness to your friend? why went you not with your friend?

18 (HEM) ויאמר חושי אל אבשלם לא כי אשר בחר יהוה והעם הזה וכל איש ישראל לא אהיה ואתו אשב׃
18 (KAT) Chusai povedal Absolónovi: „Nie! Patrím tomu a s tým chcem ostať, koho si vyvolil Pán, tento ľud a všetci Izraeliti.
18 (UKJV) "And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide. "

19 (HEM) והשנית למי אני אעבד הלוא לפני בנו כאשר עבדתי לפני אביך כן אהיה לפניך׃
19 (KAT) A po druhé: Komuže ja budem slúžiť? Či nie jeho synovi? Ako som slúžil tvojmu otcovi, tak budem slúžiť tebe.“
19 (UKJV) And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in your father's presence, so will I be in your presence.

20 (HEM) ויאמר אבשלום אל אחיתפל הבו לכם עצה מה נעשה׃
20 (KAT) Potom povedal Absolón Achitofelovi: „Predložte svoju radu! Čo máme robiť?“
20 (UKJV) Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.

21 (HEM) ויאמר אחיתפל אל אבשלם בוא אל פלגשי אביך אשר הניח לשמור הבית ושמע כל ישראל כי נבאשת את אביך וחזקו ידי כל אשר אתך׃
21 (KAT) Achitofel povedal Absolónovi: „Vojdi k vedľajším ženám svojho otca, ktoré zanechal strážiť palác! Keď celý Izrael uvidí, že si sa zošklivil svojmu otcovi, dostanú smelosť všetci, čo sú s tebou.“
21 (UKJV) "And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto your father's concubines, which he has left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that you are abhorred of your father: then shall the hands of all that are with you be strong. "

22 (HEM) ויטו לאבשלום האהל על הגג ויבא אבשלום אל פלגשי אביו לעיני כל ישראל׃
22 (KAT) Nato postavili Absolónovi na streche stan a Absolón vošiel pred očami celého Izraela k vedľajším ženám svojho otca.
22 (UKJV) "So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel. "

23 (HEM) ועצת אחיתפל אשר יעץ בימים ההם כאשר ישאל בדבר האלהים כן כל עצת אחיתפל גם לדוד גם לאבשלם׃
23 (KAT) Achitofelova rada, ktorú v tie dni dával, bola totiž, ako keď sa niekto dopytuje Boha: tak platila Achitofelova rada aj u Dávida, aj u Absolóna.
23 (UKJV) And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
