2. kniha Samuelova

1 (HEM) ויהי אחרי כן וימת מלך בני עמון וימלך חנון בנו תחתיו׃
1 (KAT) Potom zomrel kráľ Amončanov a namiesto neho sa stal kráľom jeho syn Hanon.
1 (UKJV) And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his position.

2 (HEM) ויאמר דוד אעשה חסד עם חנון בן נחש כאשר עשה אביו עמדי חסד וישלח דוד לנחמו ביד עבדיו אל אביו ויבאו עבדי דוד ארץ בני עמון׃
2 (KAT) Dávid si povedal: „Preukážem Nachasovmu synovi Hanonovi milosrdenstvo, ako jeho otec preukázal milosrdenstvo mne.“ Preto mu Dávid prostredníctvom svojich sluhov dal vysloviť sústrasť v žiali za otcom. Dávidovi sluhovia prišli do krajiny Amončanov,
2 (UKJV) Then said David, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.

3 (HEM) ויאמרו שרי בני עמון אל חנון אדניהם המכבד דוד את אביך בעיניך כי שלח לך מנחמים הלוא בעבור חקור את העיר ולרגלה ולהפכה שלח דוד את עבדיו אליך׃
3 (KAT) ale amonské kniežatá vraveli svojmu pánovi Hanonovi: „Nazdávaš sa, že si Dávid chce uctiť tvojho otca, keď ti poslal tešiteľov? A neposlal Dávid svojich sluhov k tebe, aby preskúmal, prezvedel a rozvrátil mesto?“
3 (UKJV) And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Think you that David does honour your father, that he has sent comforters unto you? has not David rather sent his servants unto you, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?

4 (HEM) ויקח חנון את עבדי דוד ויגלח את חצי זקנם ויכרת את מדויהם בחצי עד שתותיהם וישלחם׃
4 (KAT) Nato Hanon chytil Dávidových sluhov, oholil im pol brady, šaty im do polovice až po rozkrok odstrihol a poslal ich preč.
4 (UKJV) Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved off the one half of their beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks, and sent them away.

5 (HEM) ויגדו לדוד וישלח לקראתם כי היו האנשים נכלמים מאד ויאמר המלך שבו בירחו עד יצמח זקנכם ושבתם׃
5 (KAT) Keď to oznámili Dávidovi, poslal im naproti, lebo mužovia boli veľmi potupení. Kráľ im odkázal: „Ostaňte v Jerichu, kým vám nenarastú brady, potom sa vrátite!“
5 (UKJV) When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.

6 (HEM) ויראו בני עמון כי נבאשו בדוד וישלחו בני עמון וישכרו את ארם בית רחוב ואת ארם צובא עשרים אלף רגלי ואת מלך מעכה אלף איש ואיש טוב שנים עשר אלף איש׃
6 (KAT) Keď Amončania videli, že sa Dávidovi zošklivili, poslami dali Amončania najať Aramejčanov z Bet-Rohobu a Aramejčanov zo Soby, dvadsaťtisíc pešiakov, a od kráľa Maáchy (tisíc mužov) a chlapov z Tobu, dvanásťtisíc mužov.
6 (UKJV) And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Bethrehob and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ishtob twelve thousand men.

7 (HEM) וישמע דוד וישלח את יואב ואת כל הצבא הגברים׃
7 (KAT) Keď sa to Dávid dopočul, poslal Joaba a celé vojsko bojovníkov.
7 (UKJV) And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.

8 (HEM) ויצאו בני עמון ויערכו מלחמה פתח השער וארם צובא ורחוב ואיש טוב ומעכה לבדם בשדה׃
8 (KAT) Vtedy Amončania vyrazili a usporiadali sa do boja pred bránou. Aramejčania zo Soby a z Rohobu a mužovia z Tobu a Maáchy boli osobitne na poli.
8 (UKJV) And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entering in of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of Rehob, and Ishtob, and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.

9 (HEM) וירא יואב כי היתה אליו פני המלחמה מפנים ומאחור ויבחר מכל בחורי בישראל ויערך לקראת ארם׃
9 (KAT) Keď Joab videl, že boj je obrátený proti nemu aj spredu, aj odzadu, vybral si z Izraelitov najvyberanejších a postavil ich proti Aramejčanom.
9 (UKJV) When Joab saw that the front of the battle was against him before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:

10 (HEM) ואת יתר העם נתן ביד אבשי אחיו ויערך לקראת בני עמון׃
10 (KAT) Ostatok mužstva odovzdal do rúk svojho brata Abisaja a postavil ho proti Amončanom.
10 (UKJV) And the rest of the people he delivered into the hand of Abishai his brother, that he might put them in array against the children of Ammon.

11 (HEM) ויאמר אם תחזק ארם ממני והיתה לי לישועה ואם בני עמון יחזקו ממך והלכתי להושיע לך׃
11 (KAT) A povedal: „Ak budú Aramejčania mocnejší ako ja, prídeš mi na pomoc; a ak budú Amončania mocnejší ako ty, prídem na pomoc ja tebe.
11 (UKJV) And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then you shall help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for you, then I will come and help you.

12 (HEM) חזק ונתחזק בעד עמנו ובעד ערי אלהינו ויהוה יעשה הטוב בעיניו׃
12 (KAT) Buď udatný! Veď bojujeme za svoj ľud a za mestá svojho Boha! Pán však urobí, čo sa jemu páči.“
12 (UKJV) Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seems him good.

13 (HEM) ויגש יואב והעם אשר עמו למלחמה בארם וינסו מפניו׃
13 (KAT) Keď sa Joab a mužstvo, ktoré bolo s ním, pustilo do boja proti Aramejčanom, oni pred ním utiekli.
13 (UKJV) And Joab drew nigh, and the people that were with him, unto the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.

14 (HEM) ובני עמון ראו כי נס ארם וינסו מפני אבישי ויבאו העיר וישב יואב מעל בני עמון ויבא ירושלם׃
14 (KAT) Amončania videli, že Aramejčania utiekli, preto ušli pred Abisajom a vtiahli do mesta. Nato Joab upustil od Amončanov a šiel do Jeruzalema.
14 (UKJV) And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.

15 (HEM) וירא ארם כי נגף לפני ישראל ויאספו יחד׃
15 (KAT) Keď Aramejčania videli, že ich Izraeliti porazili, zhromaždili sa
15 (UKJV) And when the Syrians saw that they were smitten before Israel, they gathered themselves together.

16 (HEM) וישלח הדדעזר ויצא את ארם אשר מעבר הנהר ויבאו חילם ושובך שר צבא הדדעזר לפניהם׃
16 (KAT) a Adadezer poslami nariadil nástup Aramejčanov, ktorí boli za riekou. Tí prišli do Helamu na čele s veliteľom Adadezerovho vojska Sobachom.
16 (UKJV) "And Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that were beyond the river: and they came to Helam; and Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them. "

17 (HEM) ויגד לדוד ויאסף את כל ישראל ויעבר את הירדן ויבא חלאמה ויערכו ארם לקראת דוד וילחמו עמו׃
17 (KAT) Keď to oznámili Dávidovi, zhromaždil celý Izrael, prešiel cez Jordán a prišiel do Helamu. Nato sa Aramejčania postavili proti Dávidovi a bojovali s ním.
17 (UKJV) And when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.

18 (HEM) וינס ארם מפני ישראל ויהרג דוד מארם שבע מאות רכב וארבעים אלף פרשים ואת שובך שר צבאו הכה וימת שם׃
18 (KAT) A Aramejčania utiekli pred Izraelitmi. Dávid zničil Aramejčanom sedemsto vozov a štyridsaťtisíc jazdcov a zrazil aj veliteľa vojska Sobacha, takže na mieste zomrel.
18 (UKJV) "And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and stroke Shobach the captain of their host, who died there. "

19 (HEM) ויראו כל המלכים עבדי הדדעזר כי נגפו לפני ישראל וישלמו את ישראל ויעבדום ויראו ארם להושיע עוד את בני עמון׃
19 (KAT) Všetci Adadezerovi poddaní králi videli, že ich Izraeliti porazili, preto uzavreli s Izraelitmi mier a boli im poddaní. A Aramejčania sa už báli ísť Amončanom na pomoc.
19 (UKJV) And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.
