1 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
1 (B21) Hospodin potom Noemovi řekl: "Vejdi s celou svou domácností do archy. Viděl jsem totiž, že jsi přede mnou v tomto pokolení jediný spravedlivý.
2 (KJV) Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
2 (B21) Ze všech čistých zvířat vezmeš k sobě po sedmi párech, vždy samce a samici; ze všech nečistých zvířat však jen po páru, samce a samici.
3 (KJV) Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
3 (B21) Také z nebeského ptactva vezmeš po sedmi párech, vždy samce a samici, pro zachování jejich semene na zemi.
4 (KJV) For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
4 (B21) Už za sedm dní totiž na zem sešlu déšť, jenž potrvá čtyřicet dní a čtyřicet nocí. Vše, co jsem učinil, smetu z povrchu země."
5 (KJV) And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.
5 (B21) A Noe učinil všechno tak, jak mu Hospodin přikázal.
6 (KJV) And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
6 (B21) Země byla zaplavena vodou, když bylo Noemovi šest set let.
7 (KJV) And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
7 (B21) Kvůli té vodní záplavě vešel Noe do archy a s ním jeho synové, jeho žena a ženy jeho synů.
8 (KJV) Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
8 (B21) Ze všech čistých i nečistých zvířat, ze všech ptáků i ze všeho, co leze po zemi,
9 (KJV) There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
9 (B21) vešli k Noemovi do archy vždy dva a dva, samec a samice, jak to Noemovi přikázal Bůh.
10 (KJV) And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
10 (B21) Po sedmi dnech pak byla země zaplavena vodou.
11 (KJV) In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
11 (B21) Stalo se to šestistého roku Noemova života, sedmnáctého dne druhého měsíce. Ten den vytryskly všechny prameny veliké propasti a nebeské průduchy se otevřely.
12 (KJV) And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
12 (B21) Průtrž vod trvala na zemi čtyřicet dní a čtyřicet nocí.
13 (KJV) In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
13 (B21) Noe, jeho synové Sem, Cham a Jáfet, Noemova žena a tři ženy jeho synů vešli onoho dne do archy.
14 (KJV) They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
14 (B21) Oni i všemožné druhy zvěře, dobytka, havěti lezoucí po zemi i ptactva, všichni ptáci a okřídlenci
15 (KJV) And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
15 (B21) přišli k Noemovi do archy. Ze všeho, v čem je duch života, přišli po jednom páru.
16 (KJV) And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.
16 (B21) Z veškerého tvorstva přišel samec a samice, jak jim Bůh přikázal. A Hospodin za ním zavřel.
17 (KJV) And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
17 (B21) Na zemi pak během čtyřiceti dní nastala potopa. Vody přibývalo, až nadnesla archu, takže se zvedla od země.
18 (KJV) And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
18 (B21) Voda se na zemi mohutně vzdouvala, rychle jí přibývalo a archa plula po vodní hladině.
19 (KJV) And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
19 (B21) Voda se na zemi vzdouvala stále mohutněji, až přikryla všechny vysoké hory pode vším nebem.
20 (KJV) Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
20 (B21) A když byly hory přikryty, vzedmula se voda ještě o patnáct loktů.
21 (KJV) And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
21 (B21) Veškeré tvorstvo na zemi, vše, co se hýbe, zahynulo - ptactvo i dobytek, zvěř i veškerá havěť hemžící se po zemi, i všichni lidé.
22 (KJV) All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
22 (B21) Vše, co mělo v chřípí dech života, vše, co žilo na souši, pomřelo.
23 (KJV) And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
23 (B21) Bůh smetl všechny živé tvory z povrchu země. Vše od člověka až po dobytek, drobnou havěť i nebeské ptactvo bylo smeteno ze země. Zůstal jen Noe a ti, kdo s ním byli v arše.
24 (KJV) And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
24 (B21) Voda se na zemi vzdouvala sto padesát dní.

Verš 1
And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2Pt 2:5 - And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
Gn 6:9 - These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.
Gn 6:22 - Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
Verš 7
And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
Mt 24:38 - For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Lk 17:27 - They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
1Pt 3:20 - Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
Verš 21
And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
Lk 17:27 - They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
2Pt 2:5 - And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
Gn 7,1-16 - Čas, určený na pokánie, sa míňal, ľudstvo sa však nespamätalo, veselilo sa a hrešilo "až do dňa, keď Noe vošiel do korába" (Mt 24,38). – Potopou sa svet vracia do "chaosu", to znamená do toho stavu, ktorý na zemi jestvoval, kým Boh neoddelil "vody, ktoré boli pod oblohou, od vôd, ktoré boli nad oblohou" (Gn 1,7). Teraz sa vody opäť spojili (porov. Gn 7,11), aby priviedli na zem potopu. Boh tým, že pri stvorení oddeľuje jednu vec od druhej, mení chaos na jeho opak: "A Boh videl, že je to dobré." (Gn 1,12) Biblický termín chaos znamená i hriech, ktorý bol príčinou potopy.
