Kniha Genezis

1 (KAT) Keď Jakub zdvihol oči, videl, že prichádza Ezau so štyristo mužmi. I rozdelil deti medzi Liu, Ráchel a obe slúžky.
1 (HEM) וישא יעקב עיניו וירא והנה עשו בא ועמו ארבע מאות איש ויחץ את הילדים על לאה ועל רחל ועל שתי השפחות׃
1 (UKJV) And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.

2 (KAT) Napred postavil slúžky s ich deťmi, Liu a jej deti na druhé miesto a Ráchel s Jozefom na koniec.
2 (HEM) וישם את השפחות ואת ילדיהן ראשנה ואת לאה וילדיה אחרנים ואת רחל ואת יוסף אחרנים׃
2 (UKJV) And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.

3 (KAT) Sám išiel napred a sedem ráz sa poklonil, kým nedošiel celkom blízko k svojmu bratovi.
3 (HEM) והוא עבר לפניהם וישתחו ארצה שבע פעמים עד גשתו עד אחיו׃
3 (UKJV) And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

4 (KAT) Ezau sa mu však ponáhľal v ústrety, objal ho, padol mu okolo krku a pobozkal ho. A obaja plakali.
4 (HEM) וירץ עשו לקראתו ויחבקהו ויפל על צוארו וישקהו ויבכו׃
4 (UKJV) And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.

5 (KAT) Potom zdvihol oči a zbadal ženy s deťmi. I povedal: „Ktože sú tieto pri tebe?“ On odpovedal: „To sú deti, čo Boh v svojej dobrote dožičil tvojmu sluhovi.“
5 (HEM) וישא את עיניו וירא את הנשים ואת הילדים ויאמר מי אלה לך ויאמר הילדים אשר חנן אלהים את עבדך׃
5 (UKJV) "And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with you? And he said, The children which God has graciously given your servant. "

6 (KAT) Tu predstúpili slúžky a ich deti a poklonili sa.
6 (HEM) ותגשן השפחות הנה וילדיהן ותשתחוין׃
6 (UKJV) Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.

7 (KAT) Potom podišla aj Lia a jej deti a tiež sa poklonili, a napokon predstúpil Jozef a Ráchel a uklonili sa.
7 (HEM) ותגש גם לאה וילדיה וישתחוו ואחר נגש יוסף ורחל וישתחוו׃
7 (UKJV) And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.

8 (KAT) Nato sa ho opýtal: „Načo sú ti tie celé voje, ktoré som postretal?“ On odvetil: „Chcel som nájsť milosť v očiach svojho pána!“
8 (HEM) ויאמר מי לך כל המחנה הזה אשר פגשתי ויאמר למצא חן בעיני אדני׃
8 (UKJV) And he said, What mean you by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.

9 (KAT) Ezau však povedal: „Ja mám toho veľa, brat môj. Nech ostane tebe, čo je tvoje!“
9 (HEM) ויאמר עשו יש לי רב אחי יהי לך אשר לך׃
9 (UKJV) "And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that you have unto yourself. "

10 (KAT) Ale Jakub vravel: „Nie tak! Ak som našiel milosť v tvojich očiach, prijmi tento dar z mojich rúk! Lebo takto som videl tvoju tvár, ako keby som videl tvár Božiu a ty si mi bol milostivý.
10 (HEM) ויאמר יעקב אל נא אם נא מצאתי חן בעיניך ולקחת מנחתי מידי כי על כן ראיתי פניך כראת פני אלהים ותרצני׃
10 (UKJV) And Jacob said, Nay, I pray you, if now I have found grace in your sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen your face, as though I had seen the face of God, and you were pleased with me.

11 (KAT) Vezmi môj pozdravný dar, ktorý ti prinášam, veď Boh ma hojne požehnal a mám toho tiež dosť!“ I naliehal naň, takže to prijal
11 (HEM) קח נא את ברכתי אשר הבאת לך כי חנני אלהים וכי יש לי כל ויפצר בו ויקח׃
11 (UKJV) "Take, I pray you, my blessing that is brought to you; because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it. "

12 (KAT) a povedal: „Poďme ďalej a ja pôjdem popri tebe.“
12 (HEM) ויאמר נסעה ונלכה ואלכה לנגדך׃
12 (UKJV) And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before you.

13 (KAT) Lež on mu odvetil: „Pán môj vie, že deti sú ešte útle a že sú medzi ovcami a dobytkom také, čo pridájajú a potrebujú moju opateru. Keby som ich veľmi hnal čo i deň, celé stádo mi zahynie.
13 (HEM) ויאמר אליו אדני ידע כי הילדים רכים והצאן והבקר עלות עלי ודפקום יום אחד ומתו כל הצאן׃
13 (UKJV) And he said unto him, My lord knows that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should beat them one day, all the flock will die.

14 (KAT) Nech len ide môj pán pred svojím sluhom a ja už pôjdem pomaly, ako to sily čriedy, čo je predo mnou, a sily detí stačia, kým nedôjdem k svojmu pánovi do Seiru!“
14 (HEM) יעבר נא אדני לפני עבדו ואני אתנהלה לאטי לרגל המלאכה אשר לפני ולרגל הילדים עד אשר אבא אל אדני שעירה׃
14 (UKJV) Let my lord, I pray you, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goes before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.

15 (KAT) Ezau mu povedal: „Nech teda idú s tebou niektorí z mojich ľudí!“ On však odvetil: „Ale načo? Len keby som našiel milosť v očiach svojho pána!“
15 (HEM) ויאמר עשו אציגה נא עמך מן העם אשר אתי ויאמר למה זה אמצא חן בעיני אדני׃
15 (UKJV) And Esau said, Let me now leave with you some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needs it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

16 (KAT) A tak sa Ezau vrátil ešte v ten deň svojou cestou do Seiru.
16 (HEM) וישב ביום ההוא עשו לדרכו שעירה׃
16 (UKJV) So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.

17 (KAT) Jakub sa však uberal ďalej do Sokotu a postavil si (tam) dom a pre svoj dobytok urobil stajne. Preto nazval to miesto Sokot.
17 (HEM) ויעקב נסע סכתה ויבן לו בית ולמקנהו עשה סכת על כן קרא שם המקום סכות׃
17 (UKJV) And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

18 (KAT) Potom, čo Jakub po návrate z Mezopotámie bez nehody došiel k mestu Sichem v krajine Kanaán, osadil sa východne od mesta. Kus poľa, na ktorom rozložil svoje stany, kúpil od synov Sichemovho otca Hemora za sto kesitov.
18 (HEM) ויבא יעקב שלם עיר שכם אשר בארץ כנען בבאו מפדן ארם ויחן את פני העיר׃
18 (UKJV) "And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before the city. "

19 (KAT) A postavil tam aj oltár a nazval ho Mocný je Boh Izraela.
19 (HEM) ויקן את חלקת השדה אשר נטה שם אהלו מיד בני חמור אבי שכם במאה קשיטה׃
19 (UKJV) And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for an hundred pieces of money.

20 ----
20 (HEM) ויצב שם מזבח ויקרא לו אל אלהי ישראל׃
20 (UKJV) And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.
