Kniha Genezis

1 (KAT) Keď Laban ráno vstal, pobozkal svojich vnukov a svoje dcéry a požehnal ich. Potom sa pobral a vrátil sa do svojho bydliska.

2 (VUL) Iacob quoque abiit itinere, quo coeperat, fueruntque ei obviam angeli Dei.
2 (UKJV) And when Jacob saw them, he said, This is God's host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim.

3 (KAT) Keď ich Jakub videl, povedal: „To je tábor Božích vojov!“ Preto nazval to miesto Mahanaim.

7 (VUL) Reversique sunt nuntii ad Iacob dicentes: “ Venimus ad Esau fratrem tuum, et ecce properat in occursum tibi cum quadringentis viris ”.

8 (KAT) I bál sa Jakub veľmi a trápil sa. Potom rozdelil ľudí, čo s ním boli, aj stáda, dobytok a ťavy na dva tábory,
8 (VUL) Timuit Iacob valde et perterritus divisit populum, qui secum erat, greges quoque et oves et boves et camelos in duas turmas
8 (UKJV) And said, If Esau come to the one company, and strike it, then the other company which is left shall escape.

9 (KAT) lebo si myslel: Ak Ezau napadne a premôže jeden tábor, druhý tábor bude môcť uniknúť.

13 (UKJV) "And he lodged there that same night; and took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau his brother; "

14 (KAT) I prenocoval tam a potom oddelil zo svojho imania ako dar pre svojho brata Ezaua
14 (VUL) Mansit ibi nocte illa et sumpsit de his, quae habebat, munera Esau fratri suo:

15 (KAT) dvesto kôz a dvadsať capov, dvesto oviec a dvadsať baranov,
