2 (ROH) Zober sa, idi do Pádan-arama, do domu Betuela, otca svojej matky, a odtiaľ si vezmi ženu, z dcér Lábana, brata svojej matky.

3 (UKJV) "And God Almighty bless you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, that you may be a multitude of people; "

4 (UKJV) "And give you the blessing of Abraham, to you, and to your seed with you; that you may inherit the land wherein you are a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham. "

5 (UKJV) And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.
5 (ROH) A tak poslal Izák Jakoba, a išiel do Pádan-arama k Lábanovi, synovi Betuela Aramejského, bratovi Rebeky, matky Jakobovej a Ezavovej.

6 (UKJV) "When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, You shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan; "

7 (UKJV) "And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram; "
7 (ROH) a že Jakob poslúchol svojho otca a svoju matku a išiel do Pádan-arama,

8 (UKJV) "And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father; "
8 (RIV) Ed Esaù s’accorse che le figliuole di Canaan dispiacevano ad Isacco suo padre;

9 (UKJV) Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.

10 (UKJV) And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
10 (ROH) A Jakob vyšiel z Bér-šeby a išiel do Chárana.

11 (UKJV) "And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. "

12 (UKJV) And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

13 (UKJV) "And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed; "
13 (ROH) A hľa, Hospodin stál nad ním a riekol: Ja som Hospodin, Bôh Abraháma, tvojho otca, a Bôh Izáka; zem, na ktorej ležíš, dám tebe a tvojmu semenu.
13 (RIV) E l’Eterno stava al disopra d’essa, e gli disse: "Io sono l’Eterno, l’Iddio d’Abrahamo tuo padre e l’Iddio d’Isacco; la terra sulla quale tu stai coricato, io la darò a te e alla tua progenie;

14 (UKJV) And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in you and in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

15 (UKJV) "And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you in all places where you go, and will bring you again into this land; for I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken to you of. "
15 (ROH) A hľa, ja som s tebou a budem ťa chrániť všade kamkoľvek pojdeš, a navrátim ťa do tejto zeme, lebo ťa neopustím, dokiaľ len nevykonám toho, čo som ti hovoril.

16 (UKJV) "And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. "

17 (UKJV) And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is no other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

18 (UKJV) And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

19 (UKJV) And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.

20 (UKJV) And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
20 (ROH) Vtedy sľúbil Jakob sľub a povedal: Ak bude Bôh so mnou a bude ma chrániť na tejto ceste, ktorou idem, a dá mi chleba jesť a rúcho odiať sa,

21 (UKJV) "So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God: "
21 (ROH) a navrátim sa v pokoji do domu svojho otca, bude mi Hospodin Bohom.
21 (RIV) e se ritorno sano e salvo alla casa del padre mio, l’Eterno sarà il mio Dio;

22 (UKJV) And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that you shall give me I will surely give the tenth unto you.
