(KJV - Anglický - King James)

Gn 26, 1-35

1 (KJV) And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.

2 (KJV) And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
2 (KAT) Vtedy sa mu zjavil Pán a povedal: „Nezostupuj do Egypta, ostaň v krajine, ktorú ti určím.

3 (KJV) Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
3 (KAT) Zdržuj sa ako prišelec v tejto krajine a ja budem s tebou a požehnám ťa, lebo tebe a tvojmu potomstvu chcem dať všetky tieto krajiny, aby som splnil prísahu, ktorou som sa zaviazal tvojmu otcovi, Abrahámovi:

4 (KJV) And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
4 (KAT) »Rozmnožím tvoje potomstvo ako hviezdy neba a ja dám tvojmu potomstvu všetky tieto krajiny a v tvojom potomstve budú požehnané všetky národy zeme.«

5 (KJV) Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
5 (KAT) To preto, že Abrahám počúval na môj hlas a zachovával moje príkazy, nariadenia, ustanovenia a zákony.“

6 (KJV) And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:
6 (KAT) Izák teda ostal v Gerare.

7 (KJV) And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon.

8 (KJV) And it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac was sporting with Rebekah his wife.
8 (KAT) A keď tam býval už dlhší čas, raz filištínsky kráľ Abimelech pozeral z obloka a videl, ako sa Izák so svojou ženou Rebekou láskali.

9 (KJV) And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife: and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.

10 (KJV) And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.
10 (KAT) Abimelech mu povedal: „Prečo si nám to urobil?!

11 (KJV) And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.
11 (KAT) Potom Abimelech prikázal všetkým: „Kto sa dotkne tohto muža a jeho ženy, istotne zomrie!“

12 (KJV) Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.
12 (KAT) A Izák sial v tej krajine a v tom roku žal stonásobne, lebo Pán ho požehnával.

13 (KJV) And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
13 (KAT) Tak sa tento muž zmohol a vzmáhal sa naďalej, takže sa stal veľmi bohatým.

14 (KJV) For he had possession of flocks, and possessions of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.
14 (KAT) Mal oviec, dobytka a mnoho služobníctva, a preto mu Filištínci závideli.

15 (KJV) For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.

16 (KJV) And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.

17 (KJV) And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.
17 (KAT) A Izák odišiel, svoje stany rozložil v údolí Gerary a ostal tam bývať.

18 (KJV) And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.

19 (KJV) And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water.
19 (KAT) Keď Izákovi sluhovia kopali v údolí, našli tam studňu so živou vodou.

20 (KJV) And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.

21 (KJV) And they digged another well, and strove for that also:and he called the name of it Sitnah.

22 (KJV) And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
22 (KAT) Šiel odtiaľ ďalej a opäť vykopal studňu. O tú sa nehádali a dal jej meno Rechobot, hovoriac: „Teraz nám Pán dožičil voľnosti, aby sme sa rozmnožovali v krajine.“

23 (KJV) And he went up from thence to Beer-sheba.
23 (KAT) Odtiaľ šiel do Bersabe.

24 (KJV) And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.
24 (KAT) V tú noc sa mu zjavil Pán a povedal mu: „Ja som Boh tvojho otca Abraháma. Neboj sa, lebo ja som s tebou. Požehnám ťa a rozmnožím tvoje potomstvo kvôli môjmu služobníkovi Abrahámovi.“

25 (KJV) And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants digged a well.
25 (KAT) I postavil tam oltár a vzýval meno Pánovo. Tam rozložil svoj stan a Izákovi sluhovia tam vykopali studňu.

26 (KJV) Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath one of his friends, and Phichol the chief captain of his army.

27 (KJV) And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you?
Veď vy ste so mnou v nepriateľstve a od vás ste ma vyhnali!“

28 (KJV) And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;
Uzavrieme s tebou zmluvu.

29 (KJV) That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD.
29 (KAT) Iste nám nič zlé neurobíš, ako ani my sme ti neublížili, ba preukazovali sme ti dobro a prepustili sme ťa v pokoji. A teraz si ty Pánov požehnaný.“

30 (KJV) And he made them a feast, and they did eat and drink.
30 (KAT) On im pripravil hostinu a oni jedli a pili.

31 (KJV) And they rose up betimes in the morning, and sware one to another: and Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace.

32 (KJV) And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac's servants came, and told him concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto him, We have found water.
32 (KAT) Ešte v ten istý deň prišli k Izákovi sluhovia a oznámili mu o studni, čo vykopali: „Našli sme vodu!“

33 (KJV) And he called it Shebah: therefore the name of the city is Beer-sheba unto this day.
33 (KAT) Preto ju nazvali Šebuah. A preto je meno toho mesta až do dnešného dňa Bersabe.

34 (KJV) And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:
34 (KAT) Keď mal Ezau štyridsať rokov, vzal si za ženu dcéru Hetejca Bériho Juditu a dcéru Hetejca Elona Bašemat; obe však zarmútili Izákovu i Rebekinu dušu.

35 (KJV) Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.

Gn 26, 1-35

Verš 35
Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.
Gn 27:46 - And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?

Verš 3
Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
Gn 13:15 - For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Gn 15:18 - In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Verš 4
And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
Gn 12:3 - And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

To iste zarmútilo bohabojných rodičov.
