Gn 18, 1-33

1 (UKJV) "And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; "

2 (UKJV) And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
2 (ROH) A keď pozdvihol svoje oči, videl a hľa, traja mužovia stáli naproti nemu. A keď ich uvidel, bežal im v ústrety odo dverí stánu a poklonil sa k zemi.

3 (UKJV) And said, My LORD, if now I have found favour in your sight, pass not away, I pray you, from your servant:
3 (ROH) A povedal: Môj Pane, ak som našiel milosť v tvojich očiach, prosím, neobídi svojho služobníka!

4 (UKJV) Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:
4 (ROH) Dovoľ, prosím, nech sa donesie trochu vody, a umyte svoje nohy a oprite sa pod stromom.

5 (UKJV) "And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort all of you your hearts; after that all of you shall pass on: for therefore are all of you come to your servant. And they said, So do, as you have said. "
5 (ROH) A donesiem kúsok chleba, a posilnite svoje srdce; potom pojdete ďalej, lebo veď práve preto aj idete popri svojom služobníkovi.
E quelli dissero: "Fa’ come hai detto".

6 (UKJV) And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.
6 (ROH) Vtedy sa ponáhľal Abrahám do stánu k Sáre a povedal: Vezmi rýchle tri saty jemnej bielej múky, zamies a sprav koláče.

7 (UKJV) "And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it. "

8 (UKJV) "And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat. "
E quelli mangiarono.

9 (UKJV) And they said unto him, Where is Sarah your wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.
9 (ROH) A riekli mu: Kde je Sára, tvoja žena? A on povedal: Hľa, v stáne je.
9 (RIV) Poi essi gli dissero: "Dov’è Sara tua moglie?" Ed egli rispose: "E’ là nella tenda".

10 (UKJV) "And he said, I will certainly return unto you according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah your wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. "
E Sara ascoltava all’ingresso della tenda, ch’era dietro a lui.

11 (UKJV) "Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. "
11 (ROH) A Abrahám a Sára boli starí, pošlí vekom.

12 (UKJV) Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
12 (ROH) Preto sa smiala Sára sama v sebe a riekla: Či keď som sa už zostarela, bude mi rozkoš?

13 (UKJV) And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I certainly bear a child, which am old?

14 (UKJV) Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

15 (UKJV) "Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but you did laugh. "
15 (RIV) Allora Sara negò, dicendo: "Non ho riso"; perch’ebbe paura. Ma egli disse: "Invece, hai riso!"

16 (UKJV) And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.
16 (ROH) Potom vstali mužovia odtiaľ a obrátili svoju tvár k Sodome. A Abrahám išiel s nimi, aby ich odprevadil.

17 (UKJV) "And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; "
17 (ROH) A Hospodin riekol: Či budem tajiť pred Abrahámom, čo učiním,

18 (UKJV) Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
18 (ROH) keďže Abrahám istotne bude veľkým národom a mocným, a budú v ňom požehnané všetky národy zeme?!

19 (UKJV) "For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he has spoken of him. "

20 (UKJV) "And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; "
20 (ROH) Vtedy riekol Hospodin: Krik Sodomy a Gomory je veľký, a ich hriech je veľmi ťažký.

21 (UKJV) "I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which has come unto me; and if not, I will know. "

22 (UKJV) And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
22 (ROH) A mužovia obrátiac sa odtiaľ išli do Sodomy. Ale Abrahám stál ešte vždy pred Hospodinom.
22 (RIV) E quegli uomini, partitisi di là, s’avviarono verso Sodoma; ma Abrahamo rimase ancora davanti all’Eterno.

23 (UKJV) And Abraham drew near, and said, Will you also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
23 (ROH) A Abrahám pristúpil a povedal: Či azda zahladíš spravedlivého s bezbožným?

24 (UKJV) Possibly there be fifty righteous within the city: will you also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25 (UKJV) That be far from you to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from you: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

26 (UKJV) And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.
26 (ROH) A Hospodin riekol: Ak najdem v Sodome päťdesiat spravedlivých, v tom meste, odpustím pre nich celému tomu miestu.

27 (UKJV) And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD, which am but dust and ashes:
27 (ROH) A Abrahám odpovedal a riekol: Hľa, prosím, podujal som sa hovoriť svojmu Pánovi, kým som ja prach a popol.
27 (RIV) E Abrahamo riprese e disse: "Ecco, prendo l’ardire di parlare al Signore, benché io non sia che polvere e cenere;

28 (UKJV) Possibly there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: will you destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.
28 (ROH) Snáď chýbajú do tých päťdesiatich spravedlivých piati; či zkazíš pre tých piatich celé to mesto? A riekol: Nezkazím, jestli tam najdem štyridsaťpäť.

29 (UKJV) And he spoke unto him yet again, and said, Possibly there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.

30 (UKJV) And he said unto him, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak: Possibly there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.
- A riekol: Neučiním, jestli tam najdem tridsiatich.

31 (UKJV) And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD: Possibly there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.
31 (ROH) A zase povedal: Hľa, prosím, podujal som sa hovoriť svojmu Pánovi.

32 (UKJV) And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Possibly ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

33 (UKJV) And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.
33 (ROH) A Hospodin odišiel hneď, ako dohovoril s Abrahámom.

Gn 18, 1-33

Verš 2
And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

Gn 17:19 - "And God said, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed; and you shall call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. "
Gn 17:21 - But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto you at this set time in the next year.
Gn 21:2 - For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

Verš 11
"Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. "
Gn 17:17 - Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
Rim 4:19 - And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:
Heb 11:11 - Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Verš 12
Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
Sdc 19:26 - Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.
1Pt 3:6 - Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters all of you are, as long as all of you do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

Verš 14
Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
Mt 19:26 - "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. "
Lk 1:37 - For with God nothing (o. rhema) shall be impossible.

Verš 17
"And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; "
Am 3:7 - Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he reveals his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Verš 18
Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
Gn 12:3 - And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Gn 22:18 - "And in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice. "
Gn 26:4 - "And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; "
Sk 3:25 - All of you are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Gal 3:8 - And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In you shall all nations be blessed.

Verš 25
That be far from you to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from you: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
Rim 3:6 - God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

Gn 18,1-5 - Boh zjavuje sa Abrahámovi v podobe Anjela a sprevádzajú ho ešte dvaja anjeli. Zjavenie sa odohráva na poludnie. Abrahám považoval hostí za ľudí, neskoršie v jednom poznáva Pána. Abrahám oslovuje z príchodiacich len jedného, toho najvznešenejšieho a najhlavnejšieho. Pane, hebr. adoni, je úctivé oslovenie. Seba Abrahám volá sluhom. Takto to vyžadovala orientálna zdvorilosť.
