Gn 17, 1-27

1 (HEM) ויהי אברם בן תשעים שנה ותשע שנים וירא יהוה אל אברם ויאמר אליו אני אל שדי התהלך לפני והיה תמים׃
1 (UKJV) "And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be you perfect. "

2 (HEM) ואתנה בריתי ביני ובינך וארבה אותך במאד מאד׃
2 (UKJV) And I will make my covenant between me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.

3 (HEM) ויפל אברם על פניו וידבר אתו אלהים לאמר׃
3 (UKJV) And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

4 (HEM) אני הנה בריתי אתך והיית לאב המון גוים׃
4 (UKJV) As for me, behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.

5 (HEM) ולא יקרא עוד את שמך אברם והיה שמך אברהם כי אב המון גוים נתתיך׃
5 (UKJV) "Neither shall your name any more be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made you. "

6 (HEM) והפרתי אתך במאד מאד ונתתיך לגוים ומלכים ממך יצאו׃
6 (UKJV) And I will make you exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come out of you.

7 (HEM) והקמתי את בריתי ביני ובינך ובין זרעך אחריך לדרתם לברית עולם להיות לך לאלהים ולזרעך אחריך׃
7 (UKJV) And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto you, and to your seed after you.

8 (HEM) ונתתי לך ולזרעך אחריך את ארץ מגריך את כל ארץ כנען לאחזת עולם והייתי להם לאלהים׃
8 (UKJV) "And I will give unto you, and to your seed after you, the land wherein you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. "

9 (HEM) ויאמר אלהים אל אברהם ואתה את בריתי תשמר אתה וזרעך אחריך לדרתם׃
9 (UKJV) And God said unto Abraham, You shall keep my covenant therefore, you, and your seed after you in their generations.

10 (HEM) זאת בריתי אשר תשמרו ביני וביניכם ובין זרעך אחריך המול לכם כל זכר׃
10 (UKJV) "This is my covenant, which all of you shall keep, between me and you and your seed after you; Every male child among you shall be circumcised. "

11 (HEM) ונמלתם את בשר ערלתכם והיה לאות ברית ביני וביניכם׃
11 (UKJV) "And all of you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant between me and you. "

12 (HEM) ובן שמנת ימים ימול לכם כל זכר לדרתיכם יליד בית ומקנת כסף מכל בן נכר אשר לא מזרעך הוא׃
12 (UKJV) And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of your seed.

13 (HEM) המול ימול יליד ביתך ומקנת כספך והיתה בריתי בבשרכם לברית עולם׃
13 (UKJV) He that is born in your house, and he that is bought with your money, must essentially be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

14 (HEM) וערל זכר אשר לא ימול את בשר ערלתו ונכרתה הנפש ההוא מעמיה את בריתי הפר׃
14 (UKJV) "And the uncircumcised male child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant. "

15 (HEM) ויאמר אלהים אל אברהם שרי אשתך לא תקרא את שמה שרי כי שרה שמה׃
15 (UKJV) And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

16 (HEM) וברכתי אתה וגם נתתי ממנה לך בן וברכתיה והיתה לגוים מלכי עמים ממנה יהיו׃
16 (UKJV) "And I will bless her, and give you a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her. "

17 (HEM) ויפל אברהם על פניו ויצחק ויאמר בלבו הלבן מאה שנה יולד ואם שרה הבת תשעים שנה תלד׃
17 (UKJV) Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

18 (HEM) ויאמר אברהם אל האלהים לו ישמעאל יחיה לפניך׃
18 (UKJV) And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before you!

19 (HEM) ויאמר אלהים אבל שרה אשתך ילדת לך בן וקראת את שמו יצחק והקמתי את בריתי אתו לברית עולם לזרעו אחריו׃
19 (UKJV) "And God said, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed; and you shall call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. "

20 (HEM) ולישמעאל שמעתיך הנה ברכתי אתו והפריתי אתו והרביתי אתו במאד מאד שנים עשר נשיאם יוליד ונתתיו לגוי גדול׃
20 (UKJV) "And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he brought forth, and I will make him a great nation. "

21 (HEM) ואת בריתי אקים את יצחק אשר תלד לך שרה למועד הזה בשנה האחרת׃
21 (UKJV) But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto you at this set time in the next year.

22 (HEM) ויכל לדבר אתו ויעל אלהים מעל אברהם׃
22 (UKJV) And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

23 (HEM) ויקח אברהם את ישמעאל בנו ואת כל ילידי ביתו ואת כל מקנת כספו כל זכר באנשי בית אברהם וימל את בשר ערלתם בעצם היום הזה כאשר דבר אתו אלהים׃
23 (UKJV) "And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the very same day, as God had said unto him. "

24 (HEM) ואברהם בן תשעים ותשע שנה בהמלו בשר ערלתו׃
24 (UKJV) And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

25 (HEM) וישמעאל בנו בן שלש עשרה שנה בהמלו את בשר ערלתו׃
25 (UKJV) And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

26 (HEM) בעצם היום הזה נמול אברהם וישמעאל בנו׃
26 (UKJV) In the very same day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.

27 (HEM) וכל אנשי ביתו יליד בית ומקנת כסף מאת בן נכר נמלו אתו׃
27 (UKJV) And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.

Verš 1

ויהי אברם בן תשעים שנה ותשע שנים וירא יהוה אל אברם ויאמר אליו אני אל שדי התהלך לפני והיה תמים׃

Gn 5:22 - ויתהלך חנוך את האלהים אחרי הולידו את מתושלח שלש מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות׃

Verš 2

ואתנה בריתי ביני ובינך וארבה אותך במאד מאד׃

Gn 15:18 - ביום ההוא כרת יהוה את אברם ברית לאמר לזרעך נתתי את הארץ הזאת מנהר מצרים עד הנהר הגדל נהר פרת׃

Ex 2:24 - וישמע אלהים את נאקתם ויזכר אלהים את בריתו את אברהם את יצחק ואת יעקב׃

Ex 6:5 - וגם אני שמעתי את נאקת בני ישראל אשר מצרים מעבדים אתם ואזכר את בריתי׃

Lv 26:42 - וזכרתי את בריתי יעקוב ואף את בריתי יצחק ואף את בריתי אברהם אזכר והארץ אזכר׃

Gn 12:2 - ואעשך לגוי גדול ואברכך ואגדלה שמך והיה ברכה׃

Gn 13:16 - ושמתי את זרעך כעפר הארץ אשר אם יוכל איש למנות את עפר הארץ גם זרעך ימנה׃

Gn 15:5 - ויוצא אתו החוצה ויאמר הבט נא השמימה וספר הכוכבים אם תוכל לספר אתם ויאמר לו כה יהיה זרעך׃

Verš 4

אני הנה בריתי אתך והיית לאב המון גוים׃

Rim 4:17 - ככתוב כי אב המון גוים נתתיך והוא האמין בהביט אל אל המחיה את המתים והקורא את אשר לא היה כמו הוה׃

Verš 6

והפרתי אתך במאד מאד ונתתיך לגוים ומלכים ממך יצאו׃

Mt 1:6 - וישי הוליד את דוד המלך ודוד המלך הוליד את שלמה מאשת אוריה׃

Verš 7

והקמתי את בריתי ביני ובינך ובין זרעך אחריך לדרתם לברית עולם להיות לך לאלהים ולזרעך אחריך׃

Gn 13:15 - כי את כל הארץ אשר אתה ראה לך אתננה ולזרעך עד עולם׃

Verš 8

ונתתי לך ולזרעך אחריך את ארץ מגריך את כל ארץ כנען לאחזת עולם והייתי להם לאלהים׃

Gn 15:18 - ביום ההוא כרת יהוה את אברם ברית לאמר לזרעך נתתי את הארץ הזאת מנהר מצרים עד הנהר הגדל נהר פרת׃

Dt 1:8 - ראה נתתי לפניכם את הארץ באו ורשו את הארץ אשר נשבע יהוה לאבתיכם לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב לתת להם ולזרעם אחריהם׃

Verš 11

ונמלתם את בשר ערלתכם והיה לאות ברית ביני וביניכם׃

Sk 7:8 - ויתן לו את ברית המילה ובכן הוליד את יצחק וימל אתו ביום השמיני ויצחק הוליד את יעקב ויעקב הוליד את שנים עשר האבות׃

Rim 4:11 - ואות המילה קבל לחותם צדקת האמונה אשר היתה לו בערלתו להיות לאב לכל המאמינים והם ערלים למען אף להם תחשב הצדקה׃

Verš 12

ובן שמנת ימים ימול לכם כל זכר לדרתיכם יליד בית ומקנת כסף מכל בן נכר אשר לא מזרעך הוא׃

Lv 12:3 - וביום השמיני ימול בשר ערלתו׃

Lk 2:21 - ויהי במלאת לנער שמנה ימים וימול ויקרא שמו ישוע כשם אשר קרא לו המלאך בטרם הרה בבטן׃

Verš 19

ויאמר אלהים אבל שרה אשתך ילדת לך בן וקראת את שמו יצחק והקמתי את בריתי אתו לברית עולם לזרעו אחריו׃

Gn 18:10 - ויאמר שוב אשוב אליך כעת חיה והנה בן לשרה אשתך ושרה שמעת פתח האהל והוא אחריו׃

Gn 21:2 - ותהר ותלד שרה לאברהם בן לזקניו למועד אשר דבר אתו אלהים׃

Verš 20

ולישמעאל שמעתיך הנה ברכתי אתו והפריתי אתו והרביתי אתו במאד מאד שנים עשר נשיאם יוליד ונתתיו לגוי גדול׃

Gn 16:10 - ויאמר לה מלאך יהוה הרבה ארבה את זרעך ולא יספר מרב׃

Gn 25:12 - ואלה תלדת ישמעאל בן אברהם אשר ילדה הגר המצרית שפחת שרה לאברהם׃

Gn 25:16 - אלה הם בני ישמעאל ואלה שמתם בחצריהם ובטירתם שנים עשר נשיאם לאמתם׃

Verš 21

ואת בריתי אקים את יצחק אשר תלד לך שרה למועד הזה בשנה האחרת׃

Gn 21:2 - ותהר ותלד שרה לאברהם בן לזקניו למועד אשר דבר אתו אלהים׃

Gn 17,1-8 - Všemohúci Boh, hebr. ,El-Šaddaj', označuje Boha, ktorý sám sebe stačí a ktorý môže všetko (Ex 6,2). Boh pripomína svoju zmluvu, ale už aj od Abrama žiada okrem dokonalého života a vernosti – chodievaj predo mnou – obriezku, ktorá bude vonkajším znakom zmluvy. Obriezka sama nie je zmluvou, ale len znakom. – Boh mení Abramovo meno na Abrahám – otec množstva. Aj táto zmena je znakom, že Boh svoje prisľúbenie o Abrahámovom potomstve splní.

Gn 17,9-14 - Obriezka jestvovala už pred Abrahámom. Teraz dostáva iný zmysel (Ex 4,25; Joz 5,2), náboženský charakter. V Izraeli od čias Abrahámových bola vonkajším znakom zmluvy medzi Bohom a Izraelitmi, mala pripomínať povinnosti a záväzky, ktoré mali Izraeliti voči Bohu a bola upamätovaním na vyvolenie Božie: z potomstva Abrahámovho narodí sa Mesiáš. Len tí budú účastní na požehnaní Božom, čo budú mať obriezku, len tí budú vlastníkmi zasľúbenej zeme, čo budú nosiť toto viditeľné znamenie – ostatní budú vytvorení, vyobcovaní spomedzi Božieho ľudu. Obriezka sama v sebe bola len znamením, teda nespôsobovala sama zo seba ospravedlnenie, no povzbudzovala človeka na vzbudenie viery, nádeje a lásky k Bohu, oživovala nádej v budúceho Mesiáša. Takto obriezka bola predobrazom sviatosti krstu (Kol 2,11). Obriezkou sa stával starozákonný človek členom Božieho ľudu a krstom sa stávame členmi kráľovstva Kristovho, sv. Cirkvi. Boh pozdvihuje známy obrad na nové označenie, ako to bolo pri zmluve s Noemom: dúhu dal na znamenie, že viac nebude potopy, tak tu obriezku (poznali ju Edomčania, Amončania, Moabčania, Arabi, ba aj Egypťania) nariaďuje nosiť ako znamenie svojej zmluvy s Abrahámom a jeho potomstvom, a takto sa aj obriezka stáva jednou z podmienok zmluvy. Obriezku vykonával obyčajne otec rodiny, neskoršie osobitný skúsený muž, ktorého volali mohel. Robili ju ostrým kamenným nožom.

Gn 17,15 - Boh mení aj meno Saraiino. Doteraz sa volala Sarai (t. j. Pani moja, Kráľovná moja), nabudúce jej meno bude len Sára, t. j. Pani, Kráľovná, lebo bude matkou vyvoleného národa a matkou mnohých kniežat a kráľov (6.16). Táto zmena je teda obdobná so zmenou mena Abrahámovho. Mená budú označovať splnenie Božieho prísľubu.

Gn 17,16-22 - Boh udáva dôvod, prečo zmenil meno Saraiino, a spolu zvestuje Abrahámovi, že prisľúbený dedič bude syn, ktorého mu porodí Sára (15, 4). Abrahámov smiech je alúziou na Izákovo meno. Bola to teda veľká skúška Abrahámovej viery. Požehnania nebudú patriť Izmaelovi, ale Izákovi, ktorý bude dedičom Božích prísľubov.
