Gn 11, 1-32

1 (UKJV) And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
1 (ROH) A celá zem bola jedného jazyka a jednakých slov.

2 (UKJV) "And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. "

3 (UKJV) And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and bitumen had they for mortar.
3 (ROH) Vtedy povedali druh druhovi: Nože narobme tehiel a vypáľme ich v ohni.
3 (RIV) E dissero l’uno all’altro: "Orsù, facciamo dei mattoni e cociamoli col fuoco!"

4 (UKJV) "And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. "
4 (ROH) A povedali: Nože si vystavme mesto a vežu, ktorej vrch bude sahať až do neba.

5 (UKJV) And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built.
5 (ROH) Vtedy sostúpil Hospodin, aby videl mesto a vežu, ktoré staväli synovia človeka.

6 (UKJV) "And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. "

7 (UKJV) Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
7 (ROH) Nože sostúpme a zmiatnime tam ich jazyk, aby nerozumeli druh reči svojho druha.

8 (UKJV) So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

9 (UKJV) "Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. "

Sk 7:4 - Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein all of you now dwell.
