Heb 5, 1-14

1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: 2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. 3 And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins. 4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. 5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. 6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. 11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Heb 5, 1-14

Verš 4
And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
2Krn 26:16 - But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.
Ex 28:1 - And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.
1Krn 23:13 - The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever.

Verš 5
So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
Ž 2:7 - I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Sk 13:33 - God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
Heb 1:5 - For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Ž 110:4 - The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Heb 7:17 - For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Verš 7
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
Mt 26:39 - And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Mt 27:46 - And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Hebr 5,5 - Porov. Ž 2, 7.

Hebr 5,6 - Porov. Ž 110, 4.

Hebr 5,7-10 - Ježiš sa svojím utrpením a smrťou stal pôvodcom a prameňom našej spásy a Boh ho určil za nášho večného Veľkňaza (porov. Flp 2, 5. 11).

Hebr 5,11-14 - Náuka o Kristovej veľkňazskej hodnosti je hlboká a obsažná. Žiaľ, čitatelia ju nemôžu plne pochopiť, a to svojou vinou, lebo sa neusilovali pokročiť vo viere. Treba im ešte znova podávať duchovné mlieko, totiž začiatky kresťanskej náuky, lebo vyššie pravdy, tvrdší pokrm dospelých, by ešte nezniesli.

Hebr 5,13 - Výraz "slovo spravodlivosti" je podľa niektorých náuka, vyhradená dokonalým kresťanom. Túto náuku ide autor vysvetľovať.
