Heb 3, 1-19

1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. 3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. 4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. 5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. 7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. 10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. 11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. 16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. 17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Heb 3, 1-19

Verš 1
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
Heb 4:14 - Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Heb 6:20 - Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Heb 8:1 - Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Heb 9:11 - But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

Verš 2
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
Nm 12:7 - My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

Verš 4
For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
2Kor 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Ef 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Verš 5
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
Dt 18:15 - The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
Dt 18:18 - I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

Verš 6
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
1Kor 3:16 - Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Kor 6:19 - What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
2Kor 6:16 - And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
1Pt 2:5 - Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Rim 5:2 - By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Verš 7
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Ž 95:7 - For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
Heb 4:7 - Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

Verš 8
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Ex 17:2 - Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?

Verš 11
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Nm 14:21 - But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.
Dt 1:34 - And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying,

Verš 15
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Heb 3:7 - Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

Verš 17
But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
Nm 14:36 - And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,
Ž 106:26 - Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:
1Kor 10:10 - Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
Júd 1:5 - I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Verš 18
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
Dt 1:34 - And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying,

Tým chce varovať čitateľov pred neverou a odpadlíctvom, aby neboli vylúčení z večnej blaženosti ako hriešni Izraeliti z vlastníctva zasľúbenej zeme.

Hebr 3,17 - Porov. Nm 14,29.
