Tít 2, 1-15

1 But you are to speak the things that befit sound doctrine. 2 Old men should be sober, chaste, prudent, sound in faith, in love, in patience. 3 Old women, similarly, should be in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well, 4 so that they may teach prudence to the young women, so that they may love their husbands, love their children, 5 be sensible, chaste, restrained, have concern for the household, be kind, be subordinate to their husbands: so that the Word of God may be not blasphemed. 6 Exhort young men similarly, so that they may show self-restraint. 7 In all things, present yourself as an example of good works: in doctrine, with integrity, with seriousness, 8 with sound words, irreproachably, so that he who is an opponent may dread that he has nothing evil to say about us. 9 Exhort servants to be submissive to their masters, in all things pleasing, not contradicting, 10 not cheating, but in all things showing good fidelity, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things. 11 For the grace of God our Savior has appeared to all men, 12 instructing us to reject impiety and worldly desires, so that we may live soberly and justly and piously in this age, 13 looking forward to the blessed hope and the advent of the glory of the great God and of our Savior Jesus Christ. 14 He gave himself for our sake, so that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse for himself an acceptable people, pursuers of good works. 15 Speak and exhort and argue these things with all authority. Let no one despise you. 684

Tít 2, 1-15

Verš 3
Old women, similarly, should be in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well,
1Tim 2:9 - Similarly also, women should be dressed fittingly, adorning themselves with compunction and restraint, and not with plaited hair, nor gold, nor pearls, nor costly attire,
1Pt 3:3 - For you, there should be no unnecessary adornment of the hair, or surrounding with gold, or the wearing of ornate clothing.
1Tim 5:13 - And being at the same time also idle, they learn to go from house to house, being not only idle, but also talkative and curious, speaking of things which do not concern them.

Verš 5
be sensible, chaste, restrained, have concern for the household, be kind, be subordinate to their husbands: so that the Word of God may be not blasphemed.
Gn 3:16 - To the woman, he also said: “I will multiply your labors and your conceptions. In pain shall you give birth to sons, and you shall be under your husband’s power, and he shall have dominion over you.”
1Kor 14:34 - Women should be silent in the churches. For it is not permitted for them to speak; but instead, they should be subordinate, as the law also says.
Ef 5:22 - Wives should be submissive to their husbands, as to the Lord.
Kol 3:18 - Wives, be submissive to your husbands, as is proper in the Lord.
1Pt 3:1 - Similarly also, wives should be subject to their husbands, so that, even if some do not believe the Word, they may benefit without the Word, through the behavior of these wives,

Verš 7
In all things, present yourself as an example of good works: in doctrine, with integrity, with seriousness,
1Tim 4:12 - Let no one despise your youth, but be an example among the faithful in word, in behavior, in charity, in faith, in chastity.
1Pt 5:3 - not so as to dominate by means of the clerical state, but so as to be formed into a flock from the heart.

Verš 8
with sound words, irreproachably, so that he who is an opponent may dread that he has nothing evil to say about us.
1Pt 2:12 - Keep your behavior among the Gentiles to what is good, so that, when they slander you as if you were evildoers, they may, by the good works that are 693 seen in you, glorify God on the day of visitation.
1Pt 2:15 - For such is the will of God, that by doing good you may bring about the silence of imprudent and ignorant men,
1Pt 3:16 - But do so with meekness and fear, having a good conscience, so that, in whatever matter they may slander you, they shall be confounded, since they falsely accuse your good behavior in Christ.

Verš 9
Exhort servants to be submissive to their masters, in all things pleasing, not contradicting,
Ef 6:5 - Servants, be obedient to your lords according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the simplicity of your heart, as to Christ.
Kol 3:22 - Servants, obey, in all things, your lords according to the flesh, not serving only when seen, as if to please men, but serving in simplicity of heart, fearing God.
1Tim 6:1 - Whoever are servants under the yoke, let them consider their masters to be worthy of every honor, lest the name and doctrine of the Lord be blasphemed.
1Pt 2:18 - Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and meek, but also to the unruly.

Verš 12
instructing us to reject impiety and worldly desires, so that we may live soberly and justly and piously in this age,
Ef 1:4 - just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy and immaculate in his sight, in charity.
Kol 1:22 - yet now he has reconciled you, by his body of flesh, through death, so as to offer you, holy and immaculate and blameless, before him.
2Tim 1:9 - who has freed us and has called us to his holy vocation, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus, before the ages of time.
1Jn 2:16 - For all that is in the world is the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the arrogance of a life which is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Verš 13
looking forward to the blessed hope and the advent of the glory of the great God and of our Savior Jesus Christ.
1Kor 1:7 - In this way, nothing is lacking to you in any grace, as you await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Flp 3:20 - But our way of life is in heaven. And from heaven, too, we await the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ,

Verš 14
He gave himself for our sake, so that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse for himself an acceptable people, pursuers of good works.
Gal 1:4 - who gave himself on behalf of our sins, so that he might deliver us from this present wicked age, according to the will of God our Father.
Gal 2:20 - I live; yet now, it is not I, but truly Christ, who lives in me. And though I live now in the flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and who delivered himself for me.
Ef 5:2 - And walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and delivered himself for us, as an oblation and a sacrifice to God, with a fragrance of sweetness.
Heb 9:14 - how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the Holy Spirit has offered himself, immaculate, to God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, in order to serve the living God?
Ef 2:10 - For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works which God has prepared and in which we should walk.

Verš 15
Speak and exhort and argue these things with all authority. Let no one despise you. 684
1Tim 4:12 - Let no one despise your youth, but be an example among the faithful in word, in behavior, in charity, in faith, in chastity.

Tit 2,5-7 - Túto náuku Pavol podrobne vysvetľuje v Gal a Rim. Krst znovuzrodzuje (porov. Jn 3, 5) a obnovuje (porov. 2 Kor 5, 17).

Tit 2,12 - Božia milosť osvecuje, poúča a dáva silu, aby sme mohli premôcť zlo a konať dobro.

Tit 2,12 - Tychikus sa spomína častejšie v Novom zákone (Sk 20, 4; Ef 6, 21; Kol 4, 7; 2 Tim 4, 12). O Artemasovi, ktorého meno sa uvádza iba v tomto texte Nového zákona, nevieme nič bližšie. Nikopol bolo mesto v západnom Epire na pobreží Jadranského mora.

Tit 2,13 - "Boha a nášho Spasiteľa Ježiša Krista." Jasné potvrdenie, že Kristus je Boh.

Tit 2,13 - Kto to bol Zenas, nevieme nič podrobnejšie. Apollo je asi ten istý, o ktorom hovoria Sk 18, 24–28; 1 Kor 1, 12; 3, 4–5; 4, 6; 16, 12. Zenas a Apollo asi zaniesli Títovi tento list.
