Then the Lord said to Abram: “Depart from your land, and from your kindred, and from your father’s house, and come into the land that I will show you.

Heb 11:8 - By faith, the one called Abraham obeyed, going out to the place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you, and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
Gn 18:18 - since he will become a great and very robust nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed?
Gn 22:18 - And in your offspring, all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you obeyed my voice.”
Gn 26:4 - And I will multiply your offspring like the stars of heaven. And I will give to your posterity all these regions. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,
Sk 3:25 - You are sons of the prophets and of the testament which God has appointed for our fathers, saying to Abraham: ‘And by your offspring all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’
Gal 3:8 - Thus Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, foretold to Abraham: “All nations shall be blessed in you.”

And he took his wife Sarai, and Lot, the son of his brother, and all the substance which they had come to possess, and the lives which they had acquired in Haran, and they departed in order to go to the land of Canaan. And when they arrived in it,
Sk 7:4 - Then he went away from the land of the 633 Chaldeans, and he lived at Haran. And later, after his father was dead, God brought him into this land, in which you now dwell.
Verš 6
Abram passed through the land even to the place of Shechem, as far as the famous steep valley. Now at that time, the Canaanite was in the land.
Gn 10:18 - and the Arvadian, the Samarite, and the Hamathite. And after this, the peoples of the Canaanites became widespread.
Gn 13:7 - And then there also arose a conflict between the shepherds of Abram and of Lot. Now at that time the Canaanite and the Perizzite lived in that land.
Verš 7
Then the Lord appeared to Abram, and he said to him, “To your offspring, I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
Gn 13:15 - All the land that you see, I will give to you, and to your offspring even forever.
Gn 15:18 - On that day, God formed a covenant with Abram, saying: “To your offspring I will give this land, from the river of Egypt, even to the great river Euphrates:
Gn 17:8 - And I will give to you and to your offspring, the land of your sojourn, all the land of Canaan, as an eternal possession, and I will be their God.”
Gn 24:7 - The Lord God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my nativity, who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, ‘To your offspring I will give this land,’ himself will send his Angel before you, and you will take from there a wife for my son.
Gn 26:4 - And I will multiply your offspring like the stars of heaven. And I will give to your posterity all these regions. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,
Dt 34:4 - And the Lord said to him: “This is the land, about which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying: I will give it to your offspring. You have seen it with your eyes, but you shall not cross over to it.”

Therefore, I beg you to say that you are my sister, so that it may be well with me because of you, and so that my soul may live by your favor.”
Gn 20:12 - Yet, in another way, she is also truly my sister, the daughter of my father, and not the daughter of my mother, and I took her as a wife.
Gn 26:7 - And when he was questioned by the men of that place about his wife, he answered, “She is my sister.” For he was afraid to confess her to be his mate, thinking that perhaps they would put him to death because of her beauty.

But the Lord scourged Pharaoh and his house with great wounds because of Sarai, the wife of Abram.
Ž 105:14 - And they coveted their desire in the desert, and they tempted God in a waterless place.
Gn 12,1-3 - Ťažko rozhodnúť, či povolanie, ktoré sa popisuje v týchto veršoch, stalo sa v Harane alebo už v Ure. Podľa Sk 7,2 tieto slová povedal Boh Abramovi v Ure; v našom kontexte skorej patria do času, keď Abram už bol v Harane a keď mu už otec zomrel. Vec možno chápať aj tak, že svätopisec najprv dokončil rozpravu o ceste a potom uvádza slová povolania, ale nemožno vylúčiť ani opakovanie povolania Abrama: prvý raz v Ure a druhý raz v Harane.Pre Abrama a jeho rodinu nebolo ľahko opustiť vlastnú krajinu. Má ísť do neznámej krajiny, do krajiny, ktorá nebude hneď jeho, ale len v neskorších pokoleniach. Má teda zameniť isté za neisté a neznáme. V jeho poslušnosti možno vidieť živú vieru v slová Božie (Hebr 11,8). "V tebe budú požehnané všetky pokolenia zeme" porov. Gn 22,18; Gal 3,6-18.
Gn 12,4-7 - Abram odišiel aj z Haranu. Karavána tiahla od severovýchodu k Damasku a odtiaľ popri Genezaretskom jazere na juh k Sichemu. Terebint Moreho – dub vidiaceho alebo veštca. Pravdepodobne pod týmto košatým terebintom bolo nejaké bohoslužobné miesto kanaánskych modloslužobníkov. Vari z pohybu listov a ich šumotu vyvodzoval budúce príbehy. Je známe, že v Kanaáne bolo veľa posvätných stromov, celé háje. Izraeliti ich pálili, ale zavše aj oni odpadli k modloslužbe a uctievali v týchto hájoch Bála a Aštartu.
Gn 12,8-9 - Od Sichemu tiahol Abram na juh. Betel sa v časoch Abramových volal Luza; tu sa uvádza pod známejším menom z časov Jakubových (Gn 28,19). Negeb, južný kraj alebo juh, je vlastným pomenovaním najjužnejšej čiastky Palestíny.
Gn 12,13 - Abram zamlčal, že Sára je jeho ženou. Hovoril však aj pravdu, keď vravel, že je jeho sestrou (20,12), a konal podľa stupňa morálky svojho veku, keď svedomie neodsudzovalo každú lož a keď sa život muža hodnotil viac ako česť ženy. Svä topiscovi tu záleží hlavne na tom, aby ukázal, ako Boh uchránil čistotu matky budúceho vyvoleného národa.
